Study on the evaporation of high melting temperature metal by using the manufactured electron hem gun system (전자총 시스템 제작과 이를 이용한 고융점 금속 증발에 관한 연구)

  • An axial electron beam gun system, which emits the electron beam power of 50 kW, has been manufactured. The electron beam gun consists of two parts. One is the electron beam generation part. including the filament, cathode, and anode. The maximum beam current is 2 A and the acceleration voltage is 25 kV. The other part includes the focusing-, deflection-, and scanning coils. The beam diameter and ham trajectory can be controlled by these coils. The characteristic of each part is measured ior the optimum condition of evaporation process. Moreover, Helmholtz coil is installed inside the vacuum chamber to adjust the incident angel of the beam to the melting surface for the maximum evaporation. We report on the evaporation rates for zirconium(Zr) and gadolinium(Gd) metals which have the high melting temperatures.

  • As people's living standard is being improved, human works are being replaced by robots. However, because most robots are used in process industry, fixed on the ground, we need to develop human robots that have wide applications. Currently many researches are being conducted on human robots with the object of replacing human works, but because of lack of relevant hardware, such robots are being applied limitedly to very simple tasks. To overcome the limitation, the present study developed a kinematical mechanism and a controller. Based on human kinematics, the shoulders and the arms were composed of master arms with 3 degree of freedom, and we reproduced motions similar to human ones through the characteristics of joint variables and experiment on the trajectory of the end effector.

  • 본 논문에서는 멀티미디어 컨텐트 생성을 위한 입체음향 생성 저작도구 개발에 관하여 논의한다. Windows 95/98, Windows NT 환경의 PC 상에서 동작하는 입체음향 생성 저작도구는 일반적인 음향 편집기가 갖는 편집기능 및 음향 효과 기능 이외에 음상정위 기능, 음장제어 기능의 입체음향 기능을 가지고 있으며 스피커를 통하여 입체음향을 청취할 경우 발생하는 크로스톡크를 제거하는 기능도 가지고 있다. 개발된 저작도구를 이용하여 Mono, Stereo 형태로 저장된 음향파일을 순수한 소프트웨어 만으로 가공하여 바이노럴(Binaural) 형태의 입체음향을 생성하여 가상 음원의 위치 및 이동궤적을 정의할 수 있으며 가상공간이 갖는 공간감을 구현할 수 있다 또한 편리한 사용자 인터페이스 환경을 제공하여 GUI를 통하여 3차원 공간 상의 가상음원의 위치 및 이동 궤적과 가상공간을 사용자가 지정할 수 있도록 하였다 입체음향 생성저작도구는 일반 PC 환경에서 사용자가 가공하고자 하는 임의의 오디오 파일을 입체음향으로 생성할 수 있는 GUI 환경을 제공하며, 저비용으로 효과적인 입체음향 컨텐트를 제작할 수 있도록 함으로써, 게임 및 멀티미디어 컨텐트 제작의 고부가가치화와 입체음향 기술의 산업화에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

Moving object segmentation and tracking using feature based motion flow (특징 기반 움직임 플로우를 이용한 이동 물체의 검출 및 추적)

  • An effective algorithm for tracking rigid or non-rigid moving object(s) which segments local moving parts from image sequence in the presence of backgraound motion by camera movenment, predicts the direction of it, and tracks the object is proposed. It requires no camera calibration and no knowledge of the installed position of camera. In order to segment the moving object, feature points configuring the shape of moving object are firstly selected, feature flow field composed of motion vectors of the feature points is computed, and moving object(s) is (are) segmented by clustering the feature flow field in the multi-dimensional feature space. Also, we propose IRMAS, an efficient algorithm that finds the convex hull in order to cinstruct the shape of moving object(s) from clustered feature points. And, for the purpose of robjst tracking the objects whose movement characteristics bring about the abrupt change of moving trajectory, an improved order adaptive lattice structured linear predictor is used.

  • In this thesis, we develop a vision based hand motion recognition system using a camera with two rotational motors. Existing systems were implemented using a range camera or multiple cameras and have a limited working area. In contrast, we use an uncalibrated camera and get more wide working area by pan-tilt motion. Given an image sequence provided by the pan-tilt camera, color and pattern information are integrated into a tracking system in order to find the 2D position and direction of the hand. With these pose information, we estimate 3D motion plane on which the gesture motion trajectory from approximately forms. The 3D trajectory of the moving finger tip is projected into the motion plane, so that the resolving power of the linear gesture patterns is enhanced. We have tested the proposed approach in terms of the accuracy of trace angle and the dimension of the working volume.

  • As an approach to develope a control system with high robustness in changing control environment conditions, this paper will propose a robust control system, using multilayer neural network and biological immune system. The proposed control system adjusts weights of the multilayer neural network(MNN) with the immune algorithm. This algorithm is made up of two major divisions, the innate immune algorithm as a first line of defence and the adaptive immune algorithm as a barrier of self-adjustment. Using the proposed control system based on immune algorithm, we will work out a design for the controller of a robot manipulator. And we will demonstrate the effectiveness of the control system of robot manipulator with computer simulations.

  • 본 논문은 풍속이 변화하는 상황에서 풍력 발전 시스템의 동작을 실시간으로 모의할 수 있는 시뮬레이터의 구성과 실험 결과를 제시한다. 본 논문에서 제시하고자하는 풍력 발전 시스템 시뮬레이터는 실시간 시뮬레이터인 RTDS(Real Time Digital Simulator)와 11kW의 AC 서보 시스템을 포함하는 전동기-발전기 실험 장치(MG set, Motor-Generator Set)로 구현되었다. RTDS는 풍속 모델과 블레이드, 터빈, 발전기를 포함하는 풍력발전 시스템 모델을 실시간으로 모의하며 MG-set은 실시간으로 모의된 풍력 발전 시스템의 물리적 상태를 구현한다. 풍력 발전 시스템 모델의 동작점 궤적과 최대출력점추종(Maximum Power Point Tracking)제어에 의한 풍력 발전 시스템 시뮬레이터의 운전 결과의 제시를 통해 시뮬레이터의 유용성을 검증하였다. 본 논문에서 제시된 시뮬레이터는 상용 실시간 시뮬레이터를 이용하여 간단한 소프트웨어의 수정을 통해 다양한 모델의 풍력 반전 시스템을 모의할 수 있으며 다양한 실험 조건에서 과도상태 및 정상상태 특성 실험이 가능하므로 풍력 발전 시스템의 발전기 특성 평가, 전력 변환 장치의 성능 시험 등에 활용이 가능하다.

Motion Planning of a Robot Manipulator for Conveyor Tracking (컨베이어 추적을 위한 로보트 매니퓰레이터의 동적계획)

  • If robots have the ability to track the parts on a moving conveyor belt, the efficiency of the manipulation tasks will be increased. This paper presents a motion planning algorithm for conveyor tracking. Tracking trajectory of a robot manipulator is determined by belt speed, initial part position, and initial robot position. Torque limit, maximum velocity, maximum acceleration and maximum jerk are also taken into account. To obtain the tracking solution, the problem is converted to the linear quadratic tracking problem. We describe the manipulator dynamics as second order state equation using parametric functions. Constraints on torques and smoothness are converted to those on input and state variables. The solution of the state equation which minimizes the performance index is obtained by dynamic programming method. Numerical examples are then presented to demonstrate the utility of the motion planning method developed.

  • 이 논문에서는 100W급 Discrete LED 투광기 조명 제품 개발에 관한 것으로, 3W RGBA LED를 이용하여 광색 및 색온도 제어가 가능하도록 광학/방열/회로/시스템 설계를 통한 시제품을 제작하였다. 그 결과, 색온도 $2,000{\sim}10,000K$ 범위에서 흑체궤적에 정확히 일치하면서 연색지수가 $71{\sim}91$까지 고연색성을 실현하였으며, 동작전압 $90{\sim}250VAC$, 효율 87%, 역률 93이상의 양호한 전기적 특성을 나타냈다. 또한 투광기의 협각/중각/광각 배광을 만족하기 위하여 LED 렌즈를 설계하였으며, 신뢰성 확보 및 주위온도에 따른 광출력 변화를 최소화할 수 있는 방열설계를 실시하였다.

  • This paper presents an improved sliding mode controller design for induction motor. In place of the discontinuous control inputs, continuous inputs are proposed in order to remove the undesirable chattering phenomena, which represent major drawbacks of the sliding mode controller. The design strategy is illustrated with a microprocessor based implementation for the velocity control of an induction motor. An induction motor is operated under sling mode control such that the motor angular velocity follows a predetermined trajectory. The experimental results confirm the validity of the proposed method.
