The Development of Video Based System for Sharing Design Knowledge (동영상 기반 디자인 지식 공유 시스템 개발)

  • In general, users of design software such as Photoshop, search for information online when they want to obtain related knowledge. However, it is very difficult to find the exact information they want about designs because available knowledge sharing systems are very broad in what they manage, and it is rare that such systems would provide any design-specific Q&A or exchange of information functionality. In the paper we development a video based system for sharing design knowledge that supplies Q&A, lecture, knowledge trade function etc. utilizing multimedia like text, image and video reflecting the characteristics of design knowledge. The system are expected to contribute to the competitiveness of products through sharing design knowledge. In the near future the system will need to expand to a framework that can be shared with a variety of knowledge, as well as design knowledge.

  • Delivery efficiency of e-learning media can be influenced by authoring processes. Generally, a moving picture recorded by video camera can be delivered to student by multimedia streaming service, using media server technology. A e-learning media authored by lecture authoring tool is played in a student application by download-based delivery system. Recently, some animation know-how are applied to author e-learning media by hand-operation. In this paper, we suggest a client-based streaming service for the e-leaning media consists of media files and integration data The lecture of e-learning media nay be divided into some time-based small blocks. Each blocks can be located distributed site. The student system gather those blocks by download-scheduling. This is a valid method for QoS guarantee streaming services. In addition to our study, lecturers can author composite e-learning media includes media files and dynamic web pages simply, The distributed e-learning media files of our study is managed by multi-author and updated rapidly.

Effects of Lecturer Appearance and Students' Behavioral Patterns on Learning Flow and Teaching Presence of Chinese University Students' Video Lectures (중국 대학생의 동영상 학습에서 교수자 출연이 학습자 행동유형에 따라 학습몰입과 교수실재감에 미치는 효과)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate whether there is a difference in the effect of learning flow and teaching presence according to the lecturer's appearance and students' behavioral patterns in video learning. For this experiment, 183 freshmen from Xingtai University in China were selected as subjects. After being classified according to DISC, students were assigned to study the lecture videos with the appearance of the lecturer and the video without the appearance of the lecturer. After testing the level of their learning flow and teaching presence, the differences between groups were analyzed. According to the results of the analysis, the learning flow and teaching presence of groups who learned the videos in which the lecturer appeared were significantly higher than the groups who learned the videos without the appearance of the lecturer. Second, the effects of whether the lecturer appears or not according to DISC on learning flow were significant. However, the effects of DISC, and the interactive effect of DISC and the lecturer appearance were found to have no significant interactive effect on learning flow. Third, the effects of whether the lecturer appears or not according to DISC on teaching presence were significant, and the effects of DISC on teaching presence were not significant, but the interactive effect of lecturer appearance and DISC was significant. These findings suggest that lecture videos with the appearance of the lecturer generally have better effect. In particular, in order to enhance teaching presence, it is effective to decide whether the lecturer appears or not by considering its interactive effects with learners' DISC.

  • In this paper, we developed the composition system that it can efficiently edit camera recording data, images, office document such as powerpoint data, MS word data etc in real-time and broadcasting system that the file is made by the composition system. In this Study, we developed two kinds of algorithm; Approximate Composition for Optimization (ACFO) and Sequence Composition using Memory Que (SCUMQ). Especially, the system is inexpensive and useful because the system is based on mobile devices and PCs when lectures hope to make video institutional contents. Therefore, it can be contributed for e-learning and m-learning. In addition, the system can be applied to various fields, different kinds of multimedia creation, remote conferencing, and e-commerce.

  • 본 논문에서는 디지털 홀로그램(digital hologram)을 2 차원 비디오 압축기를 사용하여 압축하는 방법을 다룬다. 그 방법은 디지털 홀로그램을 다수개의 부홀로그램(sub-hologram)으로 나누어 배열하고, 각 부홀로그램을 2 차원영상화하여 부홀로그램 배열을 동영상 시퀀스로 만들어 2 차원 동영상 압축기로 압축하는 방법이다. 본 논문에서는 각 부홀로그램을 2 차원 영상으로 만드는 방법으로 DCT(Discrete Cosine Transform)와 Fresnel 변환 변환(Fresnel Transform)을 사용한다. 2 차원 비디오 압축 방법으로는 H.264/AVC 와 HEVC 를 사용하여, 두 방법의 압축결과를 비교, 분석한다.

  • 스마트 단말에 장착된 센서들로부터 단말의 상황 정보를 수집하고 분석하여, 상황에 적절한 동영상을 단말에게 스트리밍해 주는 서비스 구조를 제안한다. 스마트 단말은 NFC 또는 QR 코드 기반으로 전시물이나 특정 사물에 기등록된 동영상 정보를 획득하고, 저밀도 기반 WiFi 무선 실내 측위 기술을 사용하여 단말이 위치한 실내 공간 정보를 서버에 제공한다. 상황인지형 스트리밍 서버는 단말이 요청한 정보를 토대로 단말의 해상도에 적절한 동영상을 스트리밍 한다. 설계된 상황인지형 비디오 스트리밍 서비스 구조는 전시와 컨벤션, 대형 기관 및 테마파크의 안내 및 홍보 등의 용도로 활용될 수 있다.

  • 최근 온라인 수업, 동영상 수업의 수요가 많아짐에 따라 강의촬영을 하는 경우가 증가하는 추세다. 혼자서 강의를 촬영하는 경우도 늘어났지만 혼자서 강의를 촬영할 경우 실시간으로 카메라 각도 조절하기 불편한 점이 있다. 자동으로 강사를 추적하며 강의 촬영할 수 있는 저가의 카메라를 개발 및 연구를 진행하였다.

  • There is growing interest in ultra-high-resolution content that gives a more realistic sense of presence than existing broadcast content. However, in order to provide ultra-high-resolution contents in existing broadcast services, there are limitations in view angle and resolution of the image acquisition device. In order to solve this problem, many researches on stitching, which is an image synthesis method using a plurality of input devices, have been conducted. In this paper, we propose method of dynamic object based video stitching using minimal error seam in order to overcome the temporal invariance degradation of moving objects in the stitching process of horizontally oriented videos.

  • This paper proposes a motion-video multimedia system needed for computer applications like remote lecturing, distance learning, product demonstrations, and so on. The applications need a multimedia system which can author and play a motion-Video that is composed with computer screen images and audio continuously varing as time flows, not with real motion videos. Since the computer screen images are not like the real world video images in several rejects, MPEG is not competent as a compression algorithm for computer screen images raring continuously In this paper a new compression algorithm has been proposed, and a multimedia system that authors and plays a motion-video file which contains computer screen images and audio has been implemented. Also this paper shows the result of performance evaluation of both the compression algorithm and the multimedia system implemented in the paper.
