A Study on Stochastic Radar Rainfall Estimation (추계학적 레이더 강수산정에 관한 연구)

  • 본 연구에서는 칼만필터(Kalman filter) 개념을 도입한 추계학적 편차보정 기법을 활용하여 실시간으로 레이더 및 관측강우에 대한 불확실성을 줄일 수 있는 레이더 최적강수 산정기법 개발에 관한 연구를 수행하였다. 개발된 레이더 강우량 추정기법은 한강유역을 대상으로 적용되었으며, 여기서 사용된 레이더 자료는 기상청에서 수집한 레이더 합성 CAPPI(Constant Altitude Plan Position Indicator) 자료이다. 자료기간은 2004년 7월 및 2006년 7월의 각 한달치 10분 간격의 레이더 자료가 사용되었고, 본 기간에 대응하는 약 130여개 지점의 기상청 AWS(Automatic Weather Station) 강우 관측자료가 편차보정을 위해 사용되었다. 매개변수별 편차추정 분석을 수행한 결과, 한강유역의 주어진 자료기간에 대한 적절한 편차추정을 위해 N=10, $i_T=2mm/h$의 매개변수를 선정하여 레이더 강수추정 오차에 대한 편차를 계산하여 개발 보정기법을 적용하였다. 그 결과 본 연구에서 개발한 추계동역학적 편차보정 기법은 Marshall-Palmer 기법의 높은 편차를 1에 가깝게 줄일 수 있는 것으로 나타났고, 홍수기 급박한 재해상황에서 보다 신속히 레이더 강수장을 제공할 수 있는 현업적 보정기법으로써의 유용성이 매우 높은 것으로 평가되었다.

  • Rock dynamics is a relatively new discipline to study the mechanical behaviors of rock materials (or rock masses) under dynamic loading conditions. Many rock mechanics and rock engineering issues are concerned with the dynamic phenomena such as mining development, civil engineering, earthquake, military science, and various disasters. The significance of rock dynamic researches has been increased in these days. This paper introduces conventional experimental techniques for rock dynamic experimental methods and the particular characteristics of rock dynamic behaviors with several remarkable recent studies.

  • Near-filed optical storage using cantilever aperture tip is a promising way fer next generation optical data storage. To enhance the speed of reading and writing data, gap between tip and media should be controlled fast and precisely within near field region. In this paper, several PZT actuators are analyzed far constructing dual servo control algorithm: coarse actuators(stact. PZT, bimorph PZI) for media surface inclination and One actuator(film PZT) for media surface roughness. Dynamic analysis of stack PZT, bimorph PZT, and film PZT are performed through the frequency response. Based on the frequency response and mathematical model, fast analog controller is designed.

  • The first - stage study of the three - stage SWATH ship development program of Hyundai Maritime Research Institute has been completed. Various computer programs have been prepared in advance to calculate and predict various properties and characteristics of SWATH ships. With these design tools, theoretical analyses for the systematic variation of design parameters were performed, and step - by - step model tests were carried out to derive the final configuration.

  • Geotextile tube is environmentally sustainable technology and has been applied in hydraulic and coastal engineering applications. Geotextile tube is composed in permeable fabrics and Inside dredged materials, and hydraulically or mechanically filled with dredged materials. These tube are generally about 1.0m to 2.0m in diameter, through they can be sized for any application. The tubes can be used solely, or stacked to add greater height and usability. Stacked geotextile tubes will create by adding the height necessary for some breakwaters and embankment, therefore increasing the usability of geotextile tubes. This paper presents the hydrodynamic behavior of stacked geotextile tube by hydraulic model tests. The hydraulic model test conducted by structural condition and wave conditions. Structural condition is installation direction to the wave(perpendicular band 45$^{\circ}$), and wave condition is varied with the significant wave height ranging from 3.0m to 6.0m. Based on the test results, the hydrodynamic behaviors such as structural stability, wave control capacity, and strain are interpreted.

  • 최근에 기후변화 영향 분석을 위한 강수모의발생 기법에 대한 연구가 중요한 문제로 대두되고 있다. 기본적으로 모의된 강수량이 유역단위에서 의미 있는 값으로 수문모형에 입력자료로 활용되기 위해서는 강수지점간의 공간상관성의 유지가 매우 중요하다. 즉 지역적인 수문학적 거동을 유역단위에서 평가하기 위해서는 유역상관성을 고려할 수 있는 다지점(multisite) 모형의 개발이 필수적이다. 이러한 점에서 본 연구에서는 다지점 강수모의기법을 개발하였으며 비정상성 해석이 가능하도록 동역학적 강수모형을 구성하였다. 이를 한강유역 강수지점에 적용하여 모형의 적합성을 평가하였다.

  • This paper describes the analysis method about the dynamic characteristics and vibratory load through HDS(Helicopter Design Study). To analyze the dynamic characteristics of helicopter rotor blade, the natural frequencies and modes are calculated according to rotor operational speed(Ω). Generally the proximity of rotor natural frequency and N times of rotor operational speed is a dominant component to determine the helicopter vibration. Also we can predict the airframe vibration by calculating the airload of rotating blade exactly. We expect to establish the design procedure of rotor dynamics by describing the two major analysis methods necessary to rotor design.

A Method for Pedestrian Accident Reconstruction Using Optimization (최적화방법을 이용한 보행자 충돌사고 재현기법 개발)

  • As the number of pedestrian accident increases, the reconstruction of an accident becomes important to find the source of the fault. Generally, accidents are reconstructed by the intuition of experts or primitive physics. A reconstruction method is proposed using sophisticated optimization technology. At first, a dynamic simulation model is established for the accident environment. Occupant analysis for automobile crashworthiness is employed. The situation before an accident is identified by optimization. The impact velocity and the position of the pedestrian are utilized as design variables. The design variables are found by minimizing the difference between the simulation and the real accident. The optimization process is performed by linking an occupant analysis program MADYMO to an optimization program VisualDOC. Since the involved analysis is dynamics and highly nonlinear, response surface method is selected for the optimization process. Problems are solved for various situations.

A Study on the Adoption of Korean Register of Shipping Rules through the Analysis of Pile Driving Boat Capsizing (침몰된 항타선 분석을 통한 한국선급 규칙 적용에 관한 연구)

  • In December 2012, a pile driving boat sunk off the coast of Ulsan port in Korea. The cause of capsizing of these boats was considered a complex problem. Although Korean Ship Safety Technology Authority concluded that leaders (cranes) of the vessel were designed with sufficient safety factors, National Forensic Service concluded that the capsizing was caused by the failure of leaders. This study reviewed the related laws, strength calculations, and structural analysis methods used by the Korea Ship Safety Technology Authority. In addition, numerical simulations were carried out on hydrodynamic analysis and structural analysis to analyze the cause of vessel capsizing based on the rules of the Korean Register of Shipping. The results were similar to those found by National Forensic Service. In conclusion, the study suggested that inspection especially for a pile driving boat subjected to the Korean Register of Shipping rules should be carried out to prevent the similar accident.

A Suggestion of an Empirical Equation for Shear Modulus Reduction Curve Estimation of Sandy Soils (사질토 전단탄성계수 감소곡선 산정을 위한 경험식 제안)

  • In dynamic analyses such as seismic ground response and soil-structure interaction problems, it is very crucial to obtain accurate dynamic shear modulus of soil deposit. In this study, an extensive data base of available experimental data is compiled and reanalyzed to establish a simple empirical formula for the dynamic shear modulus reduction curve to cover wide range of strain for sandy soils. The proposed empirical equation is to represent the dynamic shear modulus degradation with strain in terms of low-amplitude dynamic shear modulus and effective mean confining Pressure, since those factors have the most significant effect on the Position and shape of the shear modulus reduction curve for nonelastic soils. If low-amplitude shear modulus is measured, degraded modulus at any shear strain amplitude can be calculated using the proposed equation.
