This paper proposes a new dead time compensation method for a PWM inverter. Recently, PWM inverters are extensively used for industry applications, such as ac motor drives, distributed grid-connected systems and a static synchronous compensator (STATCOM). Nonlinear characteristics of the switch and the inverter dead time cause a current distortion and deterioration of power quality. The dominant harmonics in the output current are the $5^{th}$ and $7^{th}$ harmonics in the stationary frame, and the $6^{th}$ harmonics in the synchronous rotating frame. In this paper, a resonant controller which compensates the $6^{th}$ harmonics in the synchronous rotating frame is proposed. This method does not require any off-line experimental measurements, additional hardware and complicated mathematical computations. Furthermore, the proposed method is easy to implement and does not cause any stability problem.

To support multimedia applications such as a multimedia communication systems and multimedia broadcasting, an operating system need to predict their timing-constraints. So, In this real-time systems, we must solve the priority inversion problem that may make the behavior of unpredictable systems and need a real-time server model that provides a better preemptability and minimizes a system overhead. In current real-time systems, the single thread server model, the worker model and the dynamic server model are being used for synchronization but they cannot propose an effective structure for managing shared resources. In this paper, the priority inheritance protocol is used to solve the priority inversion problem and the hybrid prioritized worker model is proposed, which can provide a more effective structure and a faster response time minimizing a system overhead. The hybrid prioritized worker model is to combine the static and the dynamic prioritized worker model, and have a better performance than other models in response time which is an important factor in a real-time system.
Delivery efficiency of e-learning media can be influenced by authoring processes. Generally, a moving picture recorded by video camera can be delivered to student by multimedia streaming service, using media server technology. A e-learning media authored by lecture authoring tool is played in a student application by download-based delivery system. Recently, some animation know-how are applied to author e-learning media by hand-operation. In this paper, we suggest a client-based streaming service for the e-leaning media consists of media files and integration data The lecture of e-learning media nay be divided into some time-based small blocks. Each blocks can be located distributed site. The student system gather those blocks by download-scheduling. This is a valid method for QoS guarantee streaming services. In addition to our study, lecturers can author composite e-learning media includes media files and dynamic web pages simply, The distributed e-learning media files of our study is managed by multi-author and updated rapidly.

Because of MANET's dynamic characteristic, the hidden node problem can happen. Thus it must use with distributed channel access. In Ad hoc networks, carrier sense multiple access with collision avoidance(CSMA/CA) is one of the most widely used medium access control(MAC) schemes for asynchronous data traffics. However, CSMA/CA could not guarantee the quality of multimedia traffics. CSMA is a contention based protocol. Therefor once a node gets a channel, it can momopolze. Thus the fairness problem with channel starvation will happen. We will propose a new MAC protocol to guarantee QoS for multimedia data in ad hoc networks.

Currently different local governments and research institutes have established and using DB for each purposes on the heterogeneous database. Normally physical unification method is used in order to unify this geospatial database, but this takes too much time and resources and require periodic renewal and synchronization. Therefore, this research would like to present a logical integrated unification method based on attribute information of heterogeneous database, and a system design and construction method, in order to subjugate inefficiencies from the physical unification method. Through this a system that could supply user customized geospatial database was established and verified the functionality using the road data of an actual region.
This paper presents the use of the Petri Net Method for modeling railway tracks. The Petri Net is defined as having the characteristics of a parallel, asynchronous, distributed, inconclusive, statistical, etc. information handling system and is a graphical mathematical modeling tool to study the specifics of active movement. It's proven use can be seen at the Korean type Light Rail testing tracks where they modelled the Petri Net method using the train track encasing the segment, track, turnout, and platform as a singular factor and even though two trains either travelling in the same or opposite directions on a single test track equipped with a sidetrack can travel with the guarantee that the two will not collide.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of assessment by adopting adaptive learning in higher education that are rarely examined in previous studies. In particular, this study applied research questions: 1) How does technical perception, perceived contents and features, and perceived integration of the AI-based adaptive system with lecture affect overall satisfaction, overall effectiveness, overall usefulness, overall motivation for the study, and intention to use it with other classes? 2) How do overall satisfaction, overall effectiveness, overall usefulness, motivation for the class, and intention to use affect loyalty on the AI-based adaptive system? This study conducted online surveys after the completion of the classes adopted AI-based adaptive learning system, ALEKS. This study applied ANOVA, regression, and factor analyses. The results of this study found that perceived integration of the AI-based adaptive learning system with the lectures on overall satisfaction, effectiveness, motivation, and intention to use for other classes showed significant with higher effect size. The results of this study provides implication that the AI-based learning system help improve learning outcomes in graduate level studies. The results provide policy and managerial implications that the AI-based adaptive learning system should improve better customer relationships in higher education.

A system design has been conducted of the liquid rocket engine for Korean launch vehicle (KSLV-II, Korea Space Launch Vehicle II). The present turbopump-fed liquid rocket engine of vacuum thrust 76 ton and vacuum specific impulse 297 sec adopts gas generator cycle. The combustion pressure of the regeneratively cooled combustor is 60 bar. The propellant is LOx/kerosene. The engine is started by pyrostarter and the combustor is ignited by TEA (TriEthylAluminium). The engine system performance and the subsystems performance requirements are given through energy balance analysis. The combustion pressure, specific impulse and the engine mass are analyzed to be reasonable comparing with the published data. The startup analysis method which will be used in the future has been validated against the turbopump-gas generator coupled test. The tuning method for performance variation of the engine which is not actively controled has been prepared by mode analysis and performance deviation analysis.
