  • Frozen shoulder was diagnosed with this study 14 patients were enrolled. Patients who volunteer to visit the configuration is more than six months and pain were studied in a chronic illness. Frozen shoulder to patients based on these results the effect of KTO treatment is a diet that is valid for a unified model and the exact effect can be enhanced, be combined with other treatments and therapies are deemed necessary. When applied to patients with Frozen shoulder KTO with an increased range of motion of the shoulder can result in a reduction of pain.

  • This study is for patients who are diagnosed with Frozen Shoulder, Korean traditional osteopath (KTO) was applied. The reduction of pain in patients with significant pain relief who studied how to increase the range of motion of the shoulder joint in order to additionally confirm. Consists of a total of 14 subjects, divided into two groups of seven experimental groups and seven control groups was studied. KTO seven patients was performed a total of 10 times seven patients was not performed. Look at each item, if the range of motion of the shoulder joint, The group looked at the changes in the operation value when applying the KTO Flexion (7.33), Extension (10.00), Abduction (8.76), Adduction (9.05), external rotation (8.10), internal rotation (10.00) was changed. The group looked at the changes in the operation value when did not apply the KTO Flexion (7.33), Extension (10.00), Abduction (8.76), Adduction (9.05), external rotation (8.10), internal rotation (10.00) was changed. That you can bring an increase in range of motion of the shoulder Frozen Shoulder Korean traditional osteopathic treatment to patients.

  • There are many patients who complain of shoulder pain with stiffness. Sadly these patients are often neglected by many physicians. An effective treatment is necessary in clinical practice. In our pain clinic, the fifty patients who were diagnosed frozen shoulder were randomly selected and followed up from Oct. 1992 to Mar. 1993. Important factors affecting outcome include; time from onset of pain and stiffness until treatment, initial severity of the pain and stiffness. We found that appropriate treatment led overall to improved patient satisfaction. The results are as follows. For patients treated within 3 weeks of syndrome occurrence, the recovery rate was in excess of 80%. But, if the patients had suffered for more than 6 months prior to treatment, the recovery rate was below 70%. For problems present in excess of six years only slight improvement was observed. These patients were difficult to manage. If the condition of patients was class I, the recovery rate was 94.4%. But in the cases of class III, only 25% of patients were recovered. From our results, we believe that early treatment is the best choice in management of frozen shoulder patients.

  • Purpose:The effectiveness of transdermal buprenorphine patch on the patients with frozen state of frozen shoulder was evaluated. Materials and Methods: Between March and September in 2013, 127 patients with pain and limited range of motion in shoulder joint over 6 months were included. Every patient was confirmed the diagnosis through MRI or ultrasonogram and each patient received intra-articular injection of steroid once. After 2~4 weeks, every patient was interviewed via telephone survey and finally 105 patients were included, 54 patients received only oral NSAIDs (NP group) while 51 patients received additional transdermal buprenorphine patch (BP group). Pain and functional visual analog scale (PVAS, FVAS), American Shoulder Elbow Society (ASES) score was checked. Results: Generally, every outcome variables showed improvements in both groups (p<0.001). PVAS score after treatment showed superior result in NP group but it was not significant (p=0.088). In ASES score, NP group had superior result than BP group and it had significant difference. Similarly in FVAS, NP group showed superior result but the data before treatment was significantly different (p=0.028) Conclusion: Transdermal buprenorphine patch didn't show superior treatment result in the patient with frozen state of frozen shoulder which was applied with oral NSAIDs after single intra-articular glenohumeral steroid injection in short-term follow-up.
