  • SAW Device 라는 Passive 소자는 ID Tag나 소형센서들을 대체할 수 있는 MEMS 기술의 초소형 Device 다. 이 SAW Device를 이용하면 독립된 공간이나 전원이 필요한 센서 제어 등을 대신할 수 있을 것이다. 이렇게 활용범위가 확대됨에 따라 다양한 SAW Device를 사용하기 위한 플랫폼이 요구된다. 하지만 현재 SAW Sensor는 많은 발전을 해왔지만 SAW Sensor를 활용할 수 있는 플랫폼의 발전은 미흡하기 때문에 본 논문에서는 이러한 SAW Device를 측정할 수 있는 SAW Reader를 FPGA를 이용하여 좀 더 간단하고 효율적인 Reader platform을 구현해 보고자 한다.

  • 비상발전기를 이용한 독립 전원시스템에서 유도전동기를 직입기동 할 경우 큰 돌입전류로 인하여 과대한 발전기 용량이 요구되고 있으며, 이를 개선하기 위해 다양한 소프트-스타트 기동 방법이 사용되고 있다. 본 논문은 비상발전시스템에서 유도전동기 기동 시 발생하는 돌입전류를 저감하기 위해 비상발전기를 이용한 소프트-스타트 기동 방식을 제안한다. 또한 제안된 방식이 타당성을 검증하기 위해 시뮬레이션을 한 결과 제안된 방법을 적용 시 돌입전류가 저감하였다.

  • Conventional average power theory has been used to design and control active power filters But compensating reference currents of active power filters calculated by conventional average power theory are definitively influenced by three phase source voltage conditions such as unbalance or distortion. This paper presents a new average power algorithm for active power filters which can detect symmetrically equally active or fundamental reactive currents in each phase based on decomposition of fundamental reactive component and harmonics under unbalanced power conditions. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is demonstrated by MATLAB/SIMULINK simulation and experimental results for a three wire distribution system with 15% unbalanced source voltages.

  • The electrical load testing system developed from this study was designed to control rated-capacity-testing or variable-load-testing in an active and precise manner and save electric energy during testing, and also to convert the saved electric energy through the electrical load testing system to grid line. As for the device under testing, it was designed to be applied to not only transformer, rectifier, voltage regulator, inverter which require grid voltage source but, also applied to electric power, aerogenerator, photovoltaic, hybrid generator, battery, etc. which do not require grid voltage source. The system was designed to return the power consumed during the testing to the grid line by connecting the synchronizing pwm inverter circuit to the grid voltage source, and was also made to enable the being-tested system from disuse of approximately 93.4% energy when compared to the conventional load testing system which has used the passive resistor.

  • To improve the efficiency of PDP TV, it should minimize the power losses transpired during AC-to-DC power conversion and PDP driving process. Generally the input power supply for PDP driving employes a two-stage power factor corrected converter, and it independently consists of sustain driver, which has high power consumption. However, such a circuit configuration has a difficulty for the PDP market requires low cost. To alleviate this problem, a new circuit composition is presented. It integrates input power supply with sustain driver in a single power stack. The input power supply of the proposed circuit has a single-stage structure to minimize power conversion loss, and it directly supplies power to the sustain driver so as to reduce the system size and cost.

  • Renewable energy and smart grid become the focus of attention of industry. The smart grid is an intelligent system which maximizes the efficiency of energy and it needs to monitor the amount of power generation and power consumption continuously. Remote Monitoring System(RMS) is very useful for monitoring the power generation and consumption, but mostly they are implemented on the wire communication. In this paper, we propose a wireless sensor network based remote power monitoring system. And as an application, a new anti-islanding method with the proposed RMS is presented. An experimental micro grid system is implemented to verify the proposed RMS and anti-islanding method.

  • Electronic equipments made from integrated circuits and small-sized semiconductors is protected by surge protective devices(SPDs) such as ZnO varistors, Zener diode and gas discharge tube from lightning overvoltages. However the clamping voltage of SPDs is greatly influenced by the method of installing the SPDs. In this paper, the protective effects of SPDs according to types of system groundings were experimentally investigated. The separate grounding is a particularly undesirable way to install SPDs. The effectiveness of the common grounding point for ZnO varistors is more pronounced than that for gas discharge tubes. The common grounding at the terminal of SPDs is recommended as a best method of installing SPDs.

  • Hybrid power storage system with emergency power function for demand management and power outage minimizes the investment cost in the building of buildings and factories requiring emergency power generation facilities, We propose a new business model by developing technology that can secure economical efficiency by reducing power cost at all times. Normally, system power is supplied to load through STS (Static Transfer Switch), and PCS is connected to system in parallel to perform demand management. In order to efficiently operate the electric power through demand forecasting, the EMS issues a charge / discharge command to the ESS as a PMS (Power Management System), and the PMS transmits the command to the PCS controller to operate the system. During the power outage, the STS is rapidly disengaged from the system, and the PCS becomes an independent power supply and can supply constant voltage / constant frequency power to the load side. Therefore, it is possible to secure reliability through verification of actual system linkage and independent operation performance of hybrid ESS, By enabling low-carbon green growth technology to operate in conjunction with an efficient grid, it is possible to improve irregular power quality and contribute to peak load by generating renewable energy through ESS linkage. In addition, the ESS is replacing the frequency follow-up reserve, which is currently under the charge of coal-fired power generation, and thus it is anticipated that the operation cost of the LNG generator with high fuel cost can be reduced.

Indirect PR current control based mode transfer technique for Seamless transfer of three phase grid-connected inverter (3상 계통연계형 인버터의 Seamless transfer를 위한 비례공진 제어기를 활용한 간접 전류 제어 기반의 모드 절환 기법)

  • 본 논문은 3상 계통 연계형 인버터의 seamless transfer 를 위한 비례공진 제어기를 활용한 간접 전류 제어 기반의 모드 절환 기법에 대해 다루고 있다. 분산 발전 기반의 인버터는 계통 연계 모드와 독립 운전 모드에서 각각 전류원과 전압원으로서 정의된다. 이런 이유로 계통 연계형 인버터는 두 모드 영역에서 고품질의 전력을 공급하기 위한 신뢰할 만한 제어기를 필요로 한다. 따라서 기존에 두 모드 모두에서 사용 가능한 PR 제어 기반의 간접 전류 제어기가 제안되었다. 하지만 추가적으로 분산 발전 기반의 인버터 전원 공급의 신뢰성은 각 모드의 절환시에도 마찬가지로 유지되어야 할 필요성을 가진다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 독립운전에서 계통 연계 모드로 절환 시 필요 되어지는 PLL 모드에서의 PR 제어 기반의 모드 절환 기법에 대하여 제안한다. 최종적으로 인버터의 정상상태뿐만 아니라 과도 상태에서 지역적 부하와 계통 모두에 신뢰할 만한 전력을 공급하기위해 제안된 PR 제어 기반의 모드절환방식은 PSIM 시뮬레이션을 통해 seamless transfer 를 구현할 수 있음이 입증되었다.
