Korea in the era of population aging has a limitation on the welfare policy that treats the elderly as a weak person. Plans of supportive structure and maintenances of institution that can reanimate vitality of the healthy or motivated seniors in our society are very important to society that ageing is ongoing. When health and economic situation of the elderly has been weakened, our country needs to review and remake the social system or environment which helps to activate seniors` abilities and be able to become independent life through maintenance of seniors`participation structure. In this study, I will research the necessity of active support and suggest the improvement ways of legal system; not only focusing on living supports that treats unconditionally the elderly as weak person.

These days the aged have to live 30 or 40 years beyond the day they quit their day jobs. The quality of life for the elderly is a keen concern for the young people. We need to have a correct understanding of the age problem and the effort of a government or local government in order to bless the average life expectancy and not perceive it as a disaster. The number of the elderly living alone is increasing. Various types of support are needed to ensure that these people do not become socially isolated and are able to live alone. Supporting them includes activities to prevent social isolation that take their unique difficulties into consideration, which are different from the difficulties of supporting elderly people living with their families. In this research examined the current status of support activities for elderly people living alone and the unique difficulties involved in supporting them.

Wood boring insects collected around bait logs of Pinus densiflora and Pinus koraiensis were 45 species from 4 families, which were composed of 21 species of Cerambycidae, 9 species of Curculionidae, 2 species of Rhynchophoridae, and 13 species of Scolytidae. Parasitic or predatory insects were 35 species from 15 families in 6 orders. Among the natural enemies, 2 parasitoids of Dolochomitus nakamurai and Echthus reluctator, and 2 predators of Trogossita japonica and Thanassimus lewisi, were observed frequently attacking a vector insect, Monochamus saltuarius, which has been known to transmit pine wood nematode. Bursaphelenchus xylophilus. Adults of D. nakamurai and E. reluctator emerged during early April and early May. Both parasitoids laid eggs on M. saltuarius prepupa and papa, which passed winter inside the pupal chamber. The general predators, T. japonica and T. lewisi, preyed actively during April and October, and attacted almost all of developmental stages of wood borers.

Site-index curves for Pinus densiflora Sieb. et Zucc. grown in the middle part of Korea were developed from stem analysis data by a procedure of guide curve equation $Yt=K-ab^t$ (t=0, 1, 2, ${\cdots}{\cdots}$) and shown in Fig. 2. The stand density expressed as size-number criteria was calculated and the relation of number of tree per hectare and average DBH was presented in Fig. 3, in which soil fertility showed little effect. When this is compared to Reineke's density standards, the Pinus densiflora stand ranks high level of stocking density (Fig. 5). As a measure for estimating timber volume, the angle-summation technique revealed to result wider variation. Constructing hypothetical populations for appraising angle-summation technique, the significance of its application in silvicultural and ecological research are discussed.

Recognizing the contemporary critical situation of local newspapers in Korea, the present study purposed to consider plans to overcome such a crisis from various aspects and examine the possibility to implement the plans. Specific research question was plans to promote local newspapers on political and legislative dimension. The result of this study proved that the issue of activating local press must be discussed basically in conjunction with the implications and functions of power decentralization. This study also considered the opinion that so-called structural problems, which cannot be tackled by local newspaper, must be intervened in by the government on the dimension of promoting local newspapers politically and legislatively. In particular, the meaning of this study lies in that it was focused on supporting methods to prepare a bill for the special law of local newspaper promotion support, and proposed specific and practical plans.

The study aims to discuss on legal prospects of digital collections' fair use through an analysis of treaties and legislations domestic and international. Based on analysis of leading researches and literature, it discusses legal principles of fair use and defines digital collections' concept and types. For understanding the actual legal system on fair use, limitations and exceptions of copyrights which are presented in treaties, such as 'Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works' and'Copyright Convention', each nation's laws, and judicial precedents. Especially, a legal dispute between 'Technische $Universit{\ddot{a}}t$ Darmstadt' and Eugen Ulmer KG, which debates on library's rights for digitizing their collections without the rightholder's permission, is analyzed. As a result, this study analyzes its implications for the improvement of the existing copyright system in Korea.

Recently, as digital communication technology is widely applied to the maritime field, large amounts of maritime data are being accumulated. Accordingly, attempts to create new value by applying data science and Artificial Intelligence(AI) technologies are emerging. Typically, Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries has been providing korean e-Navigation service since 2021 based on LTE-Maritime communication network, as well as R&D for creating value-added service through analyzing huge-sized maritime traffic data is underway. By the way, to do any data-based research, legal system, as a research infra, that researchers can get the data whenever they need is essential. This paper looked at types of data in maritime fields, checked related legal system about scientific analysis and utilization. It is confirmed that there are some legal factors which restrict its scientific analysis and utilization, and suggested ways of improvement to boost R&D using maritime data as a conclusion.

A convenient and practical synthesis of 1, 8-dioxo-octahydroxanthene derivatives using various aldehydes, 5, 5-dimethyl-1, 3-cyclohexanedione in water was successfully carried out in the presence of polyethylene glycol (PEG) as a catalyst. Simple work-up, clean products, high yields and water as a green solvent are the attractive features of this methodology.

The degree of involvement was known to shape the types of decision- process behavior of consumers. The types of information search would be influenced according to the degree of involvement. The purpose of this study was to find out the fashion information sources used in clothing purchase, and to clarify the interrelationship of clothing involvement and information sources. The middle and high school girls in Seoul were the subjects of the study. The information sources were classified into three types; marketer-oriented, internal and personal sources. Fashion informations spreaded by mass media were the most diversely used by teens. Among fashion information sources, ‘my own thoughts and experiences’ was counted as the most important one. And ‘interior and display of the shop’ was more important than the other marketer-oriented informations. Clothing involvement in the aspect of pleasure/symbol showed meaningful correlation with the information of ‘street fashion’, but in the aspect of fashion consciousness, ‘fashion of movie stars and celebrities’was the most significant information source. It seemed that ‘fashion articles in the magazines’ was used to reduce perceived risk in clothing purchase.
