Today. the value of the references comes to be high and the reference database construction is increasing. But. the descriptive regulations of the reference which it presents from scholarly journals different with each other. Also, the researchers probably does not recognize a descriptive regulations of reference. It is likely that the effective construction of reference database is very difficult. So, the purpose of this study analyzes the differences of a descriptive regulations for reference and presents the plan for standardization of a descriptive regulations.

XML is a markup language which has been accepted in various fields such as digital libraries, electronic commerce, and web applications. Research for creation, storage, management, and retrieval of XML documents is essential to develope XML application systems. This paper presents design and implementation details of powerful and convenient DTD authoring tools for XML documents. The design principles are authoring convenience, semi-automatic creation of valid and reliable document DTD by systematic guidance to reduce the possibility of syntax errors, and visualization of document structures.

This study aims to provide a guide to the selection and purchase of a good CD-ROM encyclopedia by establishing evaluation criteria for CD-ROM encyclopedia. This study first divided evaluation criteria into the following rune categories: reviews available, print version, availability of trial disc, hardware requirements and ease of software installation, database contents, retrieval software, standalone/network version, standard/deluxe version, costs. Next, it suggested evaluation points and items in detail under each category.

Video information is an important component of multimedia system such as Digital Library. World-Wide Web(WWW) and Video-On-Demand(VOD) service system. It can support various types of information because of including audio-visual, spatial-temporal and semantics information. In addition, it requires the ability of retrieving the specific scene of video instead of entire retrieval of video document. Therefore, so as to support a variety of retrieval, this paper models metadata using video document structure information that consists of hierarchical structure, and designs database schema that can manipulate video document.

This paper proposes an effective fusion algorithm for retrieval results from heterogeneous information sources in federated digital libraries. The algorithm determines the population of documents retrieved from involved information sources for a given query and evaluates the degree of relevance between the query and the population. The evaluated results are used as relevance distribution information for collection fusion. The main informations used for the fusion are relevance distribution among collections, the population size N, and ranking information of relevant documents in their origin. We also present th performance evaluation of the algorithm by developing the prototype of a meta-searcher.

Indexing techniques for distributed resources have much effect on an information service system based on distributed environment like digital library. There is a centralized indexing technique, a distributed technique, and a mixed technique for distributed indexing techniques. In this paper, we propose new distributed indexing technique using EIF(extended Inverted File) structure that mix the centralized technique and t도 distributed technique. And we propose management techniques using EIF structure and retrieval technique using EIF structure. This distributed indexing technique proposed is able to fast process retrieval request and reduce network overload and select servers relevant to query terms. This paper investigated performance of a proposed distributed indexing technique.

본 논문은 지능형 실감 통신 서비스를 위해 단순히 영상 데이터만을 상대방에게 전송하는 것이나 영상 내에 포함된 사용자 상황 정보(위치, 얼굴, 문자 등)들을 인식한 후 자연스럽게 사용자 화면상에 오버레이 시키는 증강현실 기반의 상황인식 기술 개발을 위한 방안을 기술한다. 제안한 방안은 사용자 위치 인식 기술, 사용자 인식 기술, 웨어러블 컴퓨팅 기술, 증강현실 기술, 그리고 화질 개선을 위한 에러 은닉 기술들을 기반으로 한 연구이다. 제안한 방안은 향후 이동 통신 환경에서 사용자에게 보다 편리한 정보 제공 환경으로 공함으로써, 도서관이나 박물관 또는 관광지 등에서 사용자에게 쉽게 새로운 정보를 제공하는 수단으로 자리 잡을 수 있을 것이다.

In this study, we constructed a system to operating and manage the resources of the Smart Library Reading Room automatically using the Internet of things. The persistent problem of smart library or unattended library is electric energy waste and efficient seat management. The electricity and seat layout management method of the existing library reading room is being treated as concentrated management in the central system. However, this approach results in wasting electricity and seats do not provide a fair opportunity for each user. In this study, IoT sensor was used to turn off electricity and empty seat for about 20 minutes, so that it could be marked as vacant and managed efficiently, so that opportunities for seats were evenly maintained. In the future, we will improve this and construct a model in the reading room of actual village library or school library, and analyze and reflect the result.

본 연구는 이용자의 개인적 특성인 성격특성과 이용동기에 따라 대학생의 온라인 정보탐색행위에서 어떤 유의미한 차이가 나타나는지 살펴봄을 목적으로 한다. 연구 방법은 설문지를 이용하였다. 인문사회과학 대학생 134명을 대상으로 KEPTI 에니어그램 성격유형검사 도구를 사용해 측정하고, 이용 동기는 학습동기, 취업동기, 생활동기, 뉴스동기의 4가지로 나누어 조사하고 정보 탐색 행위는 도서관 OPAC 및 인터넷 웹 자원 이용을 중심으로 살펴보았다.

점진적 빅데이터 학습 기반의 전자저널 구독가치 큐레이션 서비스는 대용량의 학술정보 처리환경을 하드웨어 기반에서 소프트웨어 기반으로 데이터를 학습함에 있어 학습 소요시간 및 메모리 부족 문제 등을 해결하기 위해 널리 사용하는 자질축소 기법에 의존하지 않고 대량의 데이터를 자유롭게 학습하고 증분 데이터 변경요소만을 추가 반영할 수 있는 범용적이고 일반적인 분류기의 구조설계 방법이다. 학술정보의 논문요약과 참고문헌의 데이터 수집 정제 분류 저장 분석을 통해 활용할 수 있는 지표를 생성하여 도서관 학교 공공기관 연구기관 등에 제공하여 기관에서 구독하고 있는 학술지가 연구에 얼마나 활용되고 있는지를 판단하는 정보 가용성을 활용한 양질의 정보원을 확보하여 불필요한 저널 구독을 중단하고 연구자가 요구하는 품질 좋은 학술정보를 제공할 수 있는 서비스로 일반적인 학술문헌 이용도 평가방법과 달리 구독 가치에 대한 지표를 제공하는 큐레이팅 방법이다.
