Open access movement supports the principle that the published output of scientific research should be available to everyone without charge. The term open access is used in the broad context of the wider movement. To achieve the objectives of open access to scholarly journal literature, BOAI(Budapest Open Access Initiative) recommends using two complementary strategies: 'self-archiving' in institutional/disciplinary repositories and 'open access journals.' This study introduces the strategies of open access movements and analyzes the ways to help the cause of open access by academic stakeholders(i.e., researchers, librarians, universities, publishers, foundations, learned societies, and government) from the perspective of two BOAI strategies.

Makerspace is growing rapidly with government support and attention. The purpose of this study is to discuss how to operate makerspaces to meet the direction of university development and to support university education. To the end, this study focuses on (1) explored the concept of makerspace, (2) assessed the best practices for constructing and operating makerspaces among Korean and North American, and finally, (3) suggested the detail methods and precautions for constructing and operating makerspaces in Korean academic library. The data were collected from literature review, on site field survey, in-depth interviews with targeting librarians and telephone interviews, email surveys.

Germany has started restitution process for most of collections from its occupied countries after World War II which was strongly led by the United Nations. However, this process did not include many of the plundered Jewish collections. In 1989, restitution for the Jewish's properties confiscated by the Nazis became important international issue with success in Jewish material claims against Germany in the U.S and Europe countries after German unification. German libraries has still possessed collections sequestered by the Nazis from 1933 to 1945. With Washington conference on holocaust-era assets in 1998, libraries began to sympathize with restoration of their Jewish confiscated collections. In present, by identifying the provenance of those collections at primary level, German librarians focus on various restitution activities for those collections in order to introspect and overcome their past. Specifically, the libraries publish the practical guidebook of studies on the provenance identification and open the database for the pillaged collections to the public. Few libraries start to restore the collections, but the numbers of the restituted collections are still insignificant.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the principles of school library media center program and to finds out present level and future outlook of the program implementation in primary and middle school. The fundamental objective of school is learning and school library functions as a link to support this objective. Therefore quality of education must always be linked to the library media programs. A questionaire which consists of 13 questions covering school library media center operation was designed to final out how learning-teaching media program is being practiced in Korea. Based on this study, it is concluded that there is significant difference between present practice level and desired future-oriented practice. It is hoped that this study will help planners in formulating school library policy to achieve educational goal of the school.

The purpose of this research is to analyze the characteristics and problems of "Reading Cheongju" campaign which started as "One Book, One City" reading promotion campaign in 2006 and conducted three times in two years. The analysis of such steps as the selection and distribution of "one book", reading and discussion. events and programs, financial assistance, public relations, etc. documents both positive and negative aspects of its performance. "Reading Cheongju" campaign helped improve both the image of the Cheongju Information Library and the importance of reading and discussion in the community, while lacking in participation from diverse groups of community members, flexibility in spending public expenses, and cooperation among libraries and other related organizations.

This research aims to present an archive on the management knowledge information resources of Student Independent Movement under the rule of Japanese Imperialism in a viewpoint document information and archives. This study consists of two aspects : a document investigation based on Student Independent Movement and knowledge information resource and in a practical examine based on the first departure of SIM, distribution of knowledge information resources, and their management. They are produced a various of document knowledge information and was formed knowledge information resource management and archives in a library, a newspaper office, Independence Hall, Nation Archives of Korea, and school media center. The result of this research was looked forward to help to R&D of knowledge information resource management in values and competencies for Student Independent Movement.

The purpose of this study is to suggest a strategy of introduction of Larchiveum, which is a concept of multi cultural space in libraries. Problem of library space programs are discussed in terms of Larchiveum and Maker space, and recently it has been studied in various aspects such as Europeana, GLAM and DPLA from the view point of digital Larchiveum. As a multi cultural space, it is a strategy for constructing Larchiveum that reflects the recent maker's movement. Maker space that explores new ideas and encourages active participation of users, nature and health, curiosity and the construction of an attractive space using ecological concepts as key words. The processes and methods for constructing Larchiveum are classified into 3 types of space configuration, service, program, and operating regulation, and twelve details are laid out to derive the process and method of building Larchiveum as a future type library.

With the spread of the maker movement and matching of the standards for the 21st century learners and the maker competencies, there is a social and temporal need for makerspaces building and maker education in school libraries, Prior to the establishment of the school library makerspaces, we intended to investigate the awareness of the school librarian on the creation and operation of the school library makerspaces. For this purpose, a questionnaire was constructed based on the theoretical review and the response data of 171 school librarians were collected through a web survey. Technical statistics, cross-analysis, and ANOVA were conducted using SPSS window 19.0 and content analysis was conducted on open-ended questions. The Questionnaires consisted of questions about whether the school library makerspace was installed or not and necessity, reason, and difficulty in creating and operating the makerspace. As a result of the study, it was found that the establishment of the school library makerspace was very low at 2.3%, and the recognition of the makerspace of the school librarian was below the normal level. On the other hand, the perception of necessity appeared to be more than normal, and the school library was generally considered to be a suitable place for the makerspace installation. However, negative opinions about the school library makerspaces were also raised in various aspects.

This research was a review and analysis of published articles and theses in Korea on Intervention Programs for patients with Diabetes Mellitus. A comprehensive search of databases was undertaken(Korean studies, Riss4u). using research terms such as"diabetes", "diabetes and education" "diabetes and exercise", "diabetes and intervention", "diabetes and education or exercise." 53 studies were analyzed focusing on type, application method, dependant variable and effect using descriptive statistics. 8 intervention type and 113 dependant variables were used. The most frequently used applied education and counseling and glycometabolism, self-care, self-efficacy the most frequently used dependant variable. The effects of dependant variables no effect or were different effects. Further reserarch in the digital convergence should requires the consideration of Structured content and exercise and the effect of the measurement variables, including the psychological variable effect.

This research is a case study of 'Seattle Reads', which launched in 1998 and has become the prototype of 'One Book, One City' Community Reading Promotion Campaign. The purpose of this research is to comprehend further the current state and future goals of 'Seattle Reads' as a typical 'One Book' program by documenting the characteristics of the 'One Book's selected for the past 25 years and their related events and activities. 'Seattle Reads' presented the model of 'One Book' program, which consists of the selection of 'One Book' for adult readers, its reading and discussion, and a variety of events and activities in the community. This analysis of 'Seattle Reads' demonstrates the continuity, consistency, self-reliance, and independence of a 'One Book' program, by reading and talking about 'One Book' by authors with diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds, and trying to understand and integrate differences among people in the community.
