A Study on Construction of Roundabouts considering the Effects for Adjacent Intersections in Urban Network (인접교차로 영향을 고려한 회전교차로 도입방안 연구)

  • Though many studies regarding roundabout have been recently conducted, most of them have focused on operational aspect. Moreover, majority of the previous researches analyzes operational effects of single roundabout, but seldom investigate the effects of multi-roundabouts constructed on road networks. In this study, we seek ways to construct multiple roundabouts on road network maximizing their operational effects. The analysis investigate influence of both adjacent signalized and unsignalized intersections as well as influence of the distance from those intersections to roundabouts. The results show that the optimal distance between two adjacent intersections were calculated to be 150m, and any two intersections located within 150m apart influence each other thus imposing operational restrictions on each other. In addition, those results are confirmed using simulation analysis conducted on the real urban network in Nonheon regional area, Incheon City.

Lateral Pressure on ,anchored Excavation Retention walls (앵카지지 굴착흙막이벽에 작용하는 측방토압)

  • Deep excavation increases utility of underground spaces for high buildings. subways etc. To excavate vertically the underground, safe earth retaining walls and supporting systems should be prepared. Recently anchors have been used to support the excavation wall. The anchored excavation has some advantages toprovide working space for underground construction. In this paper the prestressed anchor loads were measured by load cells which attacted to the anchors to support the excavation walls at eight construction fields. where under-ground deep excavation was performed on cohesionless soils. The lateral pressures on the retaining walls, which are estimated from the measured anchor forces, shows a trapezoidal distribution that the pressure increases linearly with depth from the ground surface to 30% of the excavation depth and then keeps constant value regardless of the stiffness of the walls. The maximum lateral pressure was same to 63% of the Ranking active earth pressure or 17% of the vertical overburden pressure at the final depth The investigation of the measured lateral pressure on the anchored excavation walls shows that empirical earth pressure diagram presented by Terzaghi-Peck and Tschebotarioff could be applied with some modifications to determine anchor loads for the anchored excavation in cohesionless soils.

Adaptation of Soil Cement for Sub base Treatment in Highway (고속도로 노상처리를 위한 소일시멘트 적용)

  • Kochang (Chollabuk-Do) located in the west-southern area of the Korea and passed by the West Coast Highway has yellow collar soil(Hwang-To) pertaining primarily clay. Hwang-To serve as a great soil for growing watermelon and yam but are not strong enough to be used as subgrade material for constructing roads. Subgrade material of the study site was not qualified for standard of material quality. Properties of subgrade layers showed that strength of subgrade material is not strong enough to sustain the subgrade strength in constructing roads since No. 200 passing ration is 25 - 82 % and ground water level is nearly equal to subgrade level. The objective of this study is to present the methods obtaining proper subgrade strength of cutting area to construct secure and solid highways in the fragile area.

  • The region of Kochang(Chollabuk-Do) located in the west-southern area of the Korea and passed by the West Coast Expressway has the yellow collar soil(Hwang-To) primarily containing clay. Hwang-To serves as a soil appropriate for growing the watermelon and yam, but as a subgrade material not strong for constructing the roads. Particularly, the subgrade material of this study site was not qualified for the standard of the subgrade material quality. The properties of the subgrade layer showed that the strength of the subgrade material was not strong enough to sustain the subgrade strength in constructing the roads since the passing ratio of the No. 200 sieve was about 25% to 82% and the ground water level was early equal to subgrade one. Thus, the objective of this study was to present the methods obtaining the proper subgrade strength of cutting area to construct the secure and solid expressways in the fragile area.

  • As global warming has had harmful effects on the environment, the construction industry has made efforts to reduce the amount of $CO_2$ generated in the process of cement production. There is an urgent need for an alternative material that can replace cement. To improve the initial strength and economical efficiency pointed out as problems, this research was conducted for Blast Furnace Slag (BFS), an industrial byproduct. Non-sintering cement (NSC) was used by minimizing the amount of high-priced alkali activators. By using Nano-technology, fineness has been maximized, to enhance the initial strength of BFS. This research is based on non-sintered cement replaced by nano-slag using alkali activators, and the fundamental properties and quality of the non-sintered cement were investigated. A variety of activators were used, up to 10 percent of the slag weight. This research aims to present fundamental data through a comparative analysis of flexural strength, compressive strength, time of setting, diabetic temperature, and rising heat.

  • 하천의 기능은 공학적 관점에서의 이수, 치수, 환경 기능 외에도 사회적 관점에서 역사 문화 기능을 포함할 수 있다(우효섭, 2009). 1990년대 말부터 하천복원사업이 본격화 되면서 최근에는 하천환경 기능 외에도 친수를 포함한 역사 문화 기능이 하천관리의 주요 축으로 고려되거나 포함되고 있다. 이 과정에서 하천의 역사 문화 기능을 주문하는 요구가 증가한 이유로는 하천복원사업의 지역적 획일화, 친수(심미) 요구 증대, 지역 경제성 제고, 환경(생태, 문화 등) 가치 증대 등 사회경제적 정책적 환경 변화가 기인한 부분이 크다고 할 수 있다. 이러한 측면에서 볼 때 하천의 지속가능하고 효과적인 관리와 보전을 위한 방안으로 하천의 역사 문화적 요소를 사회 경제적, 생태 환경적 요소와 연계하는 접근방식은 유용할 수 있다. 이를 위해서는 우선적으로 지역공동체가 형성해온 물 문화의 특수성을 감안하여 하천유역의 역사 문화적 소재 및 자원을 발굴할 필요가 있다. 그리고 조사 수집된 다양한 역사 문화적 소재 및 자원은 하천사업 및 관리의 주요 콘텐츠로 활용되기 위한 창출과정을 진행함으로써 사회 경제적, 생태 환경적 요소와 연계할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 하천유역을 대상으로 문헌조사 기반의 사전조사와 심도 있는 현장조사(탐문조사 등) 수행결과를 토대로 향후 하천복원사업에 활용될 수 있는 다양한 역사 문화적 소재와 자원 등에 관한 콘텐츠를 도출하였다. 또한 콘텐츠 활용방안은 하천 역사 문화 자원의 세부적인 콘텐츠를 아우를 수 있는 테마설정을 통하여 대상지 및 지역특성(치수 안전, 지역요구, 물 문화 가치 등) 등을 고려한 방안을 제시하였다. 특히, 친수 측면에서 현재 수변공간을 이용하는 방문자수, 목적(산책, 스포츠, 낚시, 물놀이, 레저 등) 등에 대한 패턴과 지역 인구 현황, 접근 인프라(교통, 이동로, 편의시설 등), 주민 요구도 등 잠재적 친수도는 물 문화 형성이라는 측면에서 볼 때 주요한 고려사항이라 할 수 있다.

Wireless Network Safety Management System on LPWA-based Tram Roads (LPWA 기반 트램 노면의 무선통신망 안전관리 시스템)

  • A system to prevent disasters by collecting and analyzing environmental information such as road surface sedimentation, sinkholes, collapse risk of bridges, temperature and humidity around tram station is continuously monitored by monitoring the condition of road surface when constructing tram which is one of the urban railways. In this paper, we propose a wireless network security management system for tram roads based on LPWA that can recognize risk factors of road surface, bridge and tram station of tram in advance and prevent risk. The proposed system consists of a sensor node that detects the state of the tram road surface, a gateway that collects sensor information, and a safety management system that monitors the safety and environmental conditions of the tram road surface, and applies the low power long distance communication technology. As a result of comparing the proposed system with the LTE system in the field test, it was confirmed that there is no significant difference between the sensor information value and the critical alarm level in the monitoring system.

  • 하천유역조사는 관련 법률의 규정에 의해 물관리정책의 수립에 필요한 기초정보를 제공하는 것을 목적으로 기본현황, 이수, 치수 환경생태 등 유역관리에 필요한 주요 조사항목을 대상으로 수행되고 있다. 조사방법 중 원격탐사자료 활용한 조사는 드론 모니터링 영상 및 위성영상자료를 이용해 댐·제방과 같은 치수 시설물의 안전관리, 수질 모니터링, 하천지형조사, 하상변동조사 등에 활용되고 있다. 최근에는 일반 RGB 영상뿐만 아니라 수백개의 분광밴드를 포함한 초분광영상을 이용한 하천조사 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 초분광영상은 분광해상도가 높아 다항목 조사에 활용할 수 있다는 장점이 있지만, 많은 양의 분광정보를 포함하고 있기 때문에 초기 수집 자료의 용량이 너무 크고, 분석을 위한 전처리 과정이 까다롭다는 단점이 있다. 반면, 10개 이하 밴드의 분광정보를 수집하는 다분광영상은 2개 밴드를 이용해 정규식생지수(NDVI)를 즉각적으로 모니터링할 수 있고, 작물의 생육현황 등을 분석할 수 있어 농업 및 산림분야에서 널리 활용되고 있다. 초분광영상을 이용한 수심산정 연구는 최적 밴드비 탐색 기법(OBRA)을 활용해 측정수심과 상관관계가 높은 밴드비를 이용해 수심맵을 구축하는 방식이 활용되어왔다. 본 연구에서는 기존의 초분광영상을 활용한 수심산정기법을 다분광영상에 적용하여 분광밴드수가 축소된(경량화된) 자료를 활용한 수심산정 가능성을 확인하기 위해 동일한 현장에서 초분광과 다분광 두가지 영상을 촬영하였으며, 각각 수심맵을 구축해 하천분야에서 다분광영상의 활용도를 평가하였다. 또한, 기존의 OBRA의 한계를 개선하기 위해 가우시안 혼합 모델(GMM; Gaussian Mixture Model)을 활용해 영상을 군집화하여 수심산정 정확도를 개선하였다.

A Study on the Comparison of Real Time GNSS Satellite Surveying Methods (실시간 GNSS 위성측량기법의 비교연구)

  • In this study, it was evaluated that the 3D tracking accuracy of basketball zone track line by real time GNSS satellite positioning methods which are VRS (Virtual Reference System), DGPS (Marine Differential GPS) and PP (Point Positioning) methods. The results of comparison between three methods over horizontal track of basketball zone, VRS, DGPS and PP methods showed ${\pm}$ several cm, ${\pm}$ m, and ${\pm}$ 2m horizontal position accuracy compared with real size respectively. And also, the grade and height deviation of the checking points on basketball zone by VRS method is very similar to the real grade and height, but results by DGPS and PP methods showed big variation and deviation in each case. We expected that VRS method using GNSS reference network will be a very useful tool compared with single based RTK method in real time accurate positioning such as precision construction fields, especially.

Estimation of Instream Flow for Fish Habitat using Instream Flow Incremental Methodology(IFIM) for Major Tributaries in Han River Basin (유지유량 증분 방법론(IFIM)에 의한 한강수계 주요 지류에서의 어류서식 필요유량 산정)

  • To recommend ecological flow for major tributaries in Han River basin, the Instream Flow Incremental Methodology (IFIM) have been applied. In particular physical habitat simulation using PHABSIM have been selected for microhabitat variables and QUAL2E model have been used to implement macrohabitat simulation. Habitat Suitability Criteria (HSC) for different life stages in accordance with different hydraulic variables (depth and velocity) have been presented by the field surveying data. We review IFIM procedures and discuss limitations of habitat simulation with specific reference to Han River basin. The results of this research can be used as reference flow for estimation of instream flow in Han River.
