  • 학습 효과는 교사의 질을 능가할 수 없으므로 교사가 학습자를 어떻게 가르칠 것인가에 전략이나 방법은 학습자의 학습에 영향을 미치는 중요한 변인이 된다. 이러한 점에서 볼 때 교사는 교육학적 지식, 교과 내용학적 지식을 수업에 적절히 통합하는 능력을 갖추어야 한다. 특히 현대 사회는 테크놀로지가 발전하면서 수업에 테크놀로지를 활용하여 학습의 효과를 높이고자 하는 다양한 시도들이 이루어지고 있다. 테크놀로지라는 영역에 포함되는 것들을 살펴보면 주로 도구나 응용소프트웨어를 사용하는 것에 한정되어 있는 경우가 많다. 그러나 도구나 응용소프트웨어는 이들이 제공할 수 있는 기능 내에서만 활용 가능하다는 점에서 제약점이 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 TPACK의 테크놀로지 지식을 프로그래밍으로까지 그 범위를 확장하는 가능성에 대하여 논의하였다.

Development and Validation of Mathematics Teaching Efficacy Scale for South Korean Elementary Teachers (초등학교 교사의 수학 교수 효능감 측정 도구 개발 연구)

  • The aim of this study was to develop and validate a mathematics teaching efficacy scale for South Korean Elementary Teachers. The sample was consisted of 300 elementary teachers in South Korea. A total of 13 items were developed and examined for internal consistence. The results of this study showed that the proposed scale was appropriate to represent mathematics teaching efficacy of elementary teachers.

  • As a way to popularize Karatedo, a curriculum for developing excellent trainers is needed. For that, DACUM was used to specifically look into the field of duty and work that a Karatedo trainer should have, and the purpose of this study is to present fundamental data necessary for developing and organizing the curriculum of cultivating Karatedo and create a useful material that can contribute to improve Karatedo trainers' performances who are working on site. A survey using Likert scale's 7 stages was conducted on DACUM meeting data, 28 managers and 108 trainers. Based on the collected data, this study had a test in order to solve the presented subject using DACUM method and SPSS WIN Ver. 14.0. This core work through the requirements analysis process. And karate leaders the necessary knowledge, skills, and tools, and attitude analysis was carried out to perform the tasks of each. Knowledge, skills, tools and attitude for each task, toward the results of the analysis were 47 core tasks. 167 knowledge items, function 143 items, the tool 60 items, 16 attitude items reclassified a total of 18 subjects were derived. The configuration of the karate leader training program curriculum model 'Karate practical expert area', 'theory karate expert area', 'Karate gym business area experts' was composed. Basic process of how it works Step 1, Step 2 integration process, replenishment process intensified Step 3 was composed.

Students' Understanding about the Analogies for Physics Concepts Used in Korean Middle School Science Textbooks (중학교 과학 교과서의 물리 개념 설명에 사용된 비유에 대한 학생들의 이해도 조사)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate how many students understood the analogies for physics concepts used in middle school science textbooks, and which types of analogies they understood better than others. We classified the analogies into the following 4 types: verbal and simple analogy, verbal and enriched analogy, pictorial and simple analogy, and pictorial and enriched analogy. For the study, 46 students were sampled from a middle school in Ulsan city in Korea, and a tool for testing their understanding of analogies were developed. The tool is composed of 8 items, and its face validity about contents and difficulty was verified by 5 experts. It was found that in average only about 50% of the students understood the analogies in the middle school science textbooks averagely, and that the students understood pictorial and simple analogies better than the other types of analogies.

  • The purpose of this study is to determine the criteria proposed by the research conducted to a group of life science teachers for the requirement of experience program in life science textbook of high school curriculum. A committee consisting of education experts has developed the research tool for the purpose described above. Research tool covered the degree to the necessity of experience program reflected in the subsection and in the context of the life sciences, and the section should be dealt with in the program. A total of 53 life science teachers responded to the survey conducted in 46 high schools of Dajeon city for a period of 1 month (April, 2012). Subsequent analysis of the investigation identified 15 demanding subsections to be reflected in the experience program including 'gene and life engineering'. Contents that need to be applied to the subsections are 32 items including 'the technology of life engineering and its utilization'.

  • Adverting of the 4th Industrial Revolution, maker education is emerged as a new paradigm and related studies keep increasing, As ideal human resources model has been changed. For this study, 65 theses on maker education were reviewed. The study has mainly analyzed the key factors for applying maker education in school. Though this study, it hopes to propose how further maker education studies should be developed. From the theses, 1.4 percent of the maker education program is actually usable in regular school class. For utilizing this education, it requires prior training and needs computer facilities. Most programs were designed as fusion form in more than two subject and included cooperative activities and sharing time. Further studies should be conducted on the application of education programs of within regular classes of school, recommended tools based on the school levels and prior training for tools, established the Makerspace in schools, shared student's output, evaluated students, and teacher training.

The Effect of Arousal Seeking Tendency on Physical Education Intrinsic Motivation and Physical Education Attitude of Middle School Students (중학생의 각성추구성향이 체육수업내적동기 및 체육교과태도에 미치는 영향)

  • Subjects consisting of 335 middle school students were analyzed using arousal seeking tendency scales to determine the effect on student's scores on scales for physical education intrinsic motivation and physical education attitude. The data were subjected to frequency analysis, correlation analysis, reliability analysis, exploratory factor analysis, and multiple regression analysis as statistical methods. The results were as follows. In the subscales of arousal seeking tendency, novelty seeking positively influenced interest, efforts, and competence. In the subscales of arousal seeking tendency, novelty seeking positively influenced physical education attitude, but thrill seeking negatively influenced health and fitness only. In the subscales of physical education intrinsic motivation, interest and efforts positively influenced physical education attitude, while both competence and tension partly influenced it. These findings indicate that improving both attitude and intrinsic motivation of middle school students toward physical education would require a method of teaching and learning that encourages students′ novelty seeking in the subscales of arousal seeking tendency.

The Analysis of Mathematical Tasks in the High School Mathematics (고등학교 교과서의 수학과제 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine and analyze the mathematical tasks in the high school textbooks. In particular, it aimed to reveal the overall picture of the level of cognitive demand of the mathematical tasks in the textbooks. We adopted the framework for mathematical task analysis suggested by Smith & Stein (1998) and analyzed the mathematical tasks accordingly. The findings from the analysis showed that 95 percent of the mathematical tasks were at low level and the rest at high level in terms of cognitive demand. Most of the mathematical tasks in the textbooks were algorithmic and focused on producing correct answers by using procedures.

  • This study analyzes the realities of computer curriculum to accommodate computer study as an elementary and secondary educational course of study, and reviews its value and character as a course of computer subject matter, and the strategy for organizing educational courses, reflecting those value and character, etc. First of all, the study raises some questions on the excessively instrumentaI and study-oriented approach of the computer educational curricula at this point of time, as well as summarizing and analyzing viewpoints from the related societies and experts on the character and distinctive feature of the computer study. And this study verifies that the character of computer study is pretty similar to the empirical meaning curriculum from the viewpoint of an educational scholar. Based on the foregoing, a strategy is needed to expand the extrinsic value of computer study as an elementary and secondary school educational curriculum, clarify the knowledge structure internally and to organize a computer subject curriculum which is closely related to daily life of students.

  • Operating Systems is a discipline which handles abstract concepts and techniques. However, most of OS courses have been textbook-oriented theoretical classes. Theoretical classes lead to the decline in the understanding of a lecture, and hurt their concentration. Many instructors have tried to make use of educational tools to help students understand lectures and arouse interests. This paper describes the design and implementation of a CPU scheduling simulator which shows the operation of process scheduling algorithms visually. The academic achievement evaluation for 2010's students and 2011's and t-test results show that the differences of the correct answer ratio for the exam about CPU scheduling algorithms are meaningful. The survey shows that the simulator is useful as an educational tool which causes the interests and enhances the understanding of a lecture, this teaching method is effective to develop problem solving skills.
