A Study on the Framework Development of Character Education by Reading (독서를 통한 인성교육의 프레임워크 개발에 관한 연구)

  • A number of studies have emphasized the importance and values of reading in character education. However, there is no tool or framework for developing character education program. If teacher librarian to develop a character education program by reading should be preceded the framework for a comprehensive and systematic approach. The framework for character education program by reading is required to develop a program. The framework must be considered with a character factor and reading elements. The purpose of this study is to establish a framework that will help teacher librarian to develop a character education program by reading. This study analyzed on construction elements of character, reading material for character education, reading strategies, teaching methods. Then, this study propose a framework for developing character education program based on the analysis information. The proposed framework in this study consists of construction elements of character, reading material for character education, reading strategies, teaching methods.

  • This study explored the development and applicability of a classics book reading program in the nursing curriculum as a character education program in order to enhance nursing students' holistic growth and development. An increasing number of universities in Seoul have introduced a classics book reading program as part of the curriculum and some have even designated it as an essential subject. Various such programs have been developed in addition to the regular education curriculum. The following aspects are important to consider in a classics book reading program for nursing students: trust, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, citizenship, endurance, healthy self-concept, and self-sustained growth performance. Classics book selections need to take into account the level of the students, and the efforts should be made to ensure the accuracy of the translation and the level of students' understanding. It is difficult to form character through short-term education. Despite difficulties, character formation requires continued interest and systemic education that will lead nursing students to show inbuilt positive characteristics. Inclusion of character education in the nursing curriculum should be considered with the agreement of the university, based on political decision-making.

  • ${\ulcorner}$소문대요(素門大要)${\lrcorner}$는 한국의 이규준(李圭晙)이 편저한 중의문헌과 임상이론이 결합된 중요한 저작물이다. 이 책은 광무갑진팔년(光武甲辰八年)(1904년) 음력 3월 16일에 완성되었고, 광무병오(光武丙午)(1906년) 초여름 밀양(密陽) 금천(琴川)에서 조판간행(雕版刊行)되었다. 이 책의 저자인 석곡(石谷) 이규준(李圭晙)(1855-1923)은 경상북도 영일군 사람으로 ${\ulcorner}$소문(素問)${\lrcorner}$ 뿐만 아니라 ${\ulcorner}$영추(靈樞)${\lrcorner}$ ${\ulcorner}$상한론(傷寒論)${\lrcorner}$ ${\ulcorner}$금궤요략${\lrcorner}$ ${\ulcorner}$잡경(難經)${\lrcorner}$ ${\ulcorner}$맥경(服經)${\lrcorner}$ 및 김원사대가(金元四大家)의 저작 등에 대해서도 심도 깊은 연구를 하였다. ${\ulcorner}$소문대요(素門大要)${\lrcorner}$의 중요 공헌은 ${\ulcorner}$소문(素問)${\lrcorner}$의 중요 문장을 회집(匯集)하였을 뿐만 아니라, 이규준(李圭晙) 자신의 의학이론과 임상사상이 표현되어 있다는 것이다. 이규준(李圭晙)은 ${\ulcorner}$소문(素問)${\lrcorner}$의 여러 편(篇) 가운데 특히 ${\ulcorner}$생기통천론(生氣通天論)${\lrcorner}$의 문장을 통해 '양비급고(陽秘乃固)'의 사상을 중요시 하여, 양기(陽氣)의 작용을 강조하면서 '양상유여음상부족(陽常有餘陰常不足)'의 편면성(片面性)을 극복하였다. 이러한 과정에서 그가 제시한 이론은 바로 '부양론(扶陽論)'으로, 그는 ${\ulcorner}$내경(內經)${\lrcorner}$ 십팔권(十八卷)의 내용을 한 마디로 요약하면 '양밀급고(陽密乃固)'라고 주장하였다. 한편 그가 ${\ulcorner}$소문대요(素門大要)${\lrcorner}$를 저술하면서 저본(底本)으로 삼았던 것은 명대(明代)에 간행(刊行)된 고종덕목(顧從德本)이라고 할 수 있다. 이규준(李圭晙)은 고종덕목(顧從德本)을 저본(底本)으로 하여 ${\ulcorner}$소문(素問)${\lrcorner}$의 문장을 해석하였고, 아울러 교감(校勘)을 병행하였는데 그의 교감법(校勘法)은 일정한 판본(版本)에 근거한 것이 아니라 자신의 ${\ulcorner}$소문(素問)${\lrcorner}$ 에 대한 이해를 중심으로 교감(校勘)을 하였다. 또한 그는 훈고학 방면에서도 일정한 식견을 갖추고 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 마지막으로 ${\ulcorner}$소문대요(素門大要)${\lrcorner}$ 는 간행본(刊行本)과 수초본(手抄本)이 유행되고 있는데, 수초본(手抄本)의 경우 와전(訛傳)된 글자가 많으니 간행본(刊行本) 및 ${\ulcorner}$소문(素問)${\lrcorner}$의 원문과 대조하여 잘못된 글자를 바로잡을 필요가 있다.

Social Media Uses: ethical factors and the effects for teenagers (소셜 미디어 이용: 청소년 대상 윤리적 요인과 그 영향)

  • This study is for empirical analyzing the ethical contents in using social media, such as what kind of ethical responsibility do the teenage users have, how do they recognize the ethical concept in producing or sharing the information and how these ethical factors affect their behavior of social media uses. After survey with the structured questionnaire, statistical analyses with available 227 cases are processed. As a result, there are 4 ethical factors in using social media which as included 'privacy', 'copyright', 'fullness', 'accuracy', 'truth-telling', 'fairness', 'relief of harmful effect', 'credibility', 'objectivity', 'impartiality', included 'moderation', 'respect', 'autonomy', 'control', 'care of mischief', included 'interactivity', 'multiplicity', 'anonymity', 'divergence', 'social community', included 'transparency', 'openness'. All these ethical factors are positive correlated to the level of social media users' opinion expression, opinion support, information leading, information searching. Especially, is the most effective factor to social media users' behavior.

Comparative Studies on Figures Appeared in Moral Education Textbooks for Elementary and Junior High Schools in Korea and Japan (한국과 일본의 초·중학교 도덕 교과서에 나타난 인물상 비교연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to demonstrate the characteristics of ideal figure aimed by the moral education of both Korea and Japan by comparing and analyzing the descriptive content and characters' tendency appeared in the moral education textbooks published in accordance with the current moral education curriculum in Korea and Japan. First, this study examined the tendency of real persons appeared in the moral education textbooks in both countries. To be specific, this study attempted a quantitative comparative analysis of the characters' tendency by expressing the distribution of the characters by appearance time, male-to-female ratio, Koreans and foreigners and characters by occupation and position in percentage. Furthermore, it attempted to demonstrate the particular emphasis in values and virtues in both countries by examining the moral values derived from the characters' decency, way of life and teachings and expressing the distribution of the characters by value and virtue in percentage.

Study on the integrative application program for cultivating primary school students' personal relationship skills (초등학생들의 대인관계 기술 함양을 위한 통합적 적용방안 연구)

  • This study aims to provide a theoretical base for making a character education program on "how primary school students to cultivate their own right and good-minded characters." This study consists of three approaches: 1) an integrative approach based on the social and emotional learning, 2) development of integrative programs articulating three key domains directly and indirectly influencing students' character formation - school, family and local community(society), 3) maximum use of the educational institutes' moral education curriculums and the potential curriculums in the surrounding environment. In concrete, by specializing "social awareness and relationship skills" from various social and emotional ones, this study suggests an integrative program for the character education based on the theory of virtue in the Eastern philosophy. To develop such an Eastern philosophy-based integrative program for the cultivation of the social awareness and personal relationship skills, this study applies some virtue items of Eastern Ethics: for examples, 'rectification of the name(正名)' to improve skills for rational choice on the awareness and performance of social roles, 'empathy(忠恕)' to enhance the ability to share another person's feelings and emotions as if they were my own, 'reflect and seek in oneself(反求諸己)' to solve conflicts in peace and self-reflection, 'difficulty with countenance(色難)' to respond to others by understanding their situations and characters, 'select and follow good qualities of others and reform their bad qualities(擇其善者而從之, 其不善者而改之)' to make good results from various forms of personal relationship, and 'keep same respect as at first to old acquaintance(久而敬之)' to maintain good and emotional relationships. In particular, by underlining 'rectification of the name(正名)' and 'reflect and seek in oneself(反求諸己)', this study attempts to develop an alternative integrative program articulating three domains of school, family and local community.

Hell Formation and Character of Literary Works of the Late Joseon Dynasty (조선후기 문학작품의 지옥 형상화와 그 성격)

  • This article examines the form of hell and the nature of literary works in the late Joseon period. 'Hoeshimgok(回心曲)' divides a sinner into a man and a woman, and presents a virtue of goodness to a man and an item of evil to a woman. The elements of virtue and malice are both Buddhist ethical norms and Confucian ethical norms. Hell-related novels have common features that emphasize the ethical norms that should be kept in daily life through the causes of hell, though the patterns of punishment and their reasons are slightly different depending on the works. And 'Hoeshimgok(回心曲)' and these works are generally shown by reducing the punishment pixel of hell compared to the cause of hell. This characteristic shows that the literary works of the late Joseon literature related to hell were mainly aimed at providing or educating ethical virtues centered on 'Samgangwol(三綱五倫)' through sanctions of 'Hell' widely known to the general public. The emphasis on Confucian ethics is not limited to works of literature related to hell. In the nineteenth century, when these works were created and circulated, there is a surge in the number of chapters and publications of books for Confucian Indoctrination, Didactic Gasa, and Goodness Books, which emphasize Confucian ethics. Such a strengthening of the Confucian ethical consciousness can be attributed to the crisis of the 19th century Joseon society about the social confusion that threatens the existing system. In particular, the creation and circulation of literary works related to hell in the late Joseon period is related to the dissemination and spread of Catholicism. In the end, the hell shape of the late Joseon literature reflects the crisis of social confusion faced by Joseon society in the nineteenth century. Therefore, it can be said that it has the character of literary response to the prevalent diffusion of Catholicism.

  • 어느덧 2005년의 숫자가 선명한 달력이 자리를 차지했다. 개인적으로 2004년을 돌아볼때, 그 어느해 보다 뜻 깊은 한해였다. 5년간 심혈을 기울여 준비했던 SF MMORPG RF온라인을 선보여 게이머를 비롯해 업계 관계자들의 성원이래 성공적으로 서비스를 진행했기 때문이다. 이와 같은 RF온라인의 성공은 2004년 계획을 수립하는데 있어 더욱 큰 기대와 긴장을 느끼게 한다.2005년 을유년을 상징하는 닭은 다섯 가지 덕이 있다고 했다. 머리에 있는 볏은 문을 상징하고, 발은 내치기를 잘한다 하여 무라했으며, 적과 맹렬히 싸우는 용이 있다고 했고, 먹이가 있으면 자식과 무리를 불러 먹인다하여 인이 있고, 하루도 거르지 않고 시간을 알려주니 신이 있다고 평가했다. 이와 같은 닭의 특징은 창으로 인상적이다. 앞서 언급했던 RF온라인은 캐주얼 게임으로 국민 게임이라 불릴만큼 기세를 떨쳤던 포트리스 2 블루가 정점을 달릴때 시작됐다. 한달 37억원까지 달했던 매출로 성공에 대한 기쁨에 취하기도 잠시, 바로 차기작 개발에 착수 했던 것이다.

  • The infinite imagination and variety of material, and freedom of expression are fundamental elements of the comics. However, although the freedom of comics expression is linked with the liberty of speech and press, it's expression is constrained by a public authority and social pressure, self-regulation. This paper explains some problems and desirable freedom of expression thought researches on constraints of comics expression of Korea and Japan.

조경수의 병해충 - 사철나무를 가해하는 해충

  • 전국 어디서나 쉽게 볼 수 있는 사철나무는 노박덩굴과 식물로 해풍과 염기에 강하며 해수와 접하여도 잘 죽지 않고, 또한 내음력이 강하며, 습지와 건조지에서도 강하며 맹아력이 좋고 공해에도 강하여 정원수나 조경수로는 적격인 수종이라 할 수 있겠다. 이러한 까닭에 도심지의 조경수, 관상수, 정원수로 많이 식재되고 있고 잘 정돈된 사철나무 울타리는 도시인의 마음을 한결 깔끔하게 하고 화려하지는 않지만 은은하여 도시에서 느낄 수 없는 소박한 시골 아낙네 같은 청초한 느낌을 준다. 봄과 여름에는 다른 수종들과 어울러져 남들을 더욱 돋보이게 하고 가을과 겨울에는 혼자만이 꿋꿋이 녹색을 띠면서 적막한 도시의 거리를 조금이나마 부드럽게 하는 현대인이 배우고 갖추어야 할 덕목을 일러주는 나무인 것이다. 이러한 사철나무를 가해하는 해충으로 깍지벌레류와 진딧물류의 피해가 심하고, 기타 잎을 가해하는 왕물결나방, 차주머니나방이 피해를 주고 있어 이들에 대한 생태 및 방제법을 간략하게 소개하고자 한다.
