This research attempted to analyze the measurement of users' recognition level which is based on the theoretical background of social capital created in public libraries. The path of structural model was set among the factors of social capital and their causal relationships were verified. The users' awareness of social capital created in public libraries is to prove the value of their existence and sustainability in the region. It was clear that social capital affected the various benefit and social impact for regional people and local community. Finally, the findings of this research will be positively expected to affect the assessment of public libraries.

The aim of this study was to examine the image for dental hygienists and career consideration in academic high school students. A self-reported questionnaire was surveyed by 199 high school students in Gwangju. The questionnaire composed subject's general characteristics, image for dental hygienists, career consideration. The data were analyzed for independent t-test or Mann-Whitney test, one-way ANOVA or Kruskal wallis test and pearson's correlation coefficient by using IBM SPSS Statistics ver. 21.0 program. The average of total image was 3.36, personal images were 3.64, occupational images were 3.47, business images were 3.42, social images were 2.83 in the five-point scale. The image of dental hygienists was higher significantly in case of having a dental practitioner in the family, treatment experience less than 1 year, and treatment in dental hospital. The participants who considered to be dental hygienist were higher significantly in occupational and social images. There were positive correlations among the personal, occupational, business, social images of dental hygienists. These results showed that general images for dental hygienists were slightly positive but among them, social image was the lowest level. It showed that most students didn't consider to be dental hygienist. Therefore, we suggested to enhance positive recognition for dental hygienists be needed.

최근 기후변화로 인해 대류성 집중호우가 빈번하게 발생하고 있으며, 이러한 강우 특성은 산지지역에 위치한 소하천유역에 상당한 피해를 야기한다. 대류성 집중호우는 규모가 작고 속도가 빠르기 때문에 중규모 이상의 유역에서 부분적으로 상이한 강우특성을 보인다. 아울러 이러한 호우패턴의 변화는 일시적인 현상이 아닌 하나의 기상 특성으로 자리를 잡아가고 있기 때문에 이에 대한 대책마련이 더욱 필요한 실정이다. 돌발홍수 예경보시스템에 예측강우 자료는 예측 선행시간의 한계를 가진다. 즉, 예측강우 자료자체가 가지는 편의와 불확실성으로 인해 예측 선행시간이 3시간을 초과하면 신뢰도가 급격히 하락하게 된다. 이를 해결하기 위해 우리나라에서는 지상관측치와의 편의를 보정하거나 예측강우자료 자체의 품질을 개선하려는 노력을 지속하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 예측 선행시간을 확장하고자 순차적으로 생산되는 예측강우를 가중평균하여 앙상블 예측치를 모의하는 기법을 개발하였다. 각 선행시간별 예측강우자료를 앙상블 멤버로 인식하여 이들의 공분산 구조를 파악하고, 분산과 공분산 수치를 이용하여 가중치를 결정하였다. 1, 2, 3시간 예측 선행시간에 대한 확장 가능성을 확인하고자 하였고, 최적의 앙상블 멤버 개수를 결정하여 적용 및 평가하였다. 본 연구에서는 2016년과 2017년에 발생한 주요 호우사상을 선정하고, 우리나라 전역에 걸쳐 예측강우 앙상블 생성 방법론을 적용하였다. 그 결과, 가중평균 앙상블의 예측치가 예측강우장 1개, 단순평균 앙상블 예측치에 비해 좋은 품질의 예측 성능을 보였으며, 예측치의 분산 또한 감소하여 예측에 대한 불확실성이 줄어듦을 확인하였다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the difference between communicative competence and problem solving ability by applying project - based instruction in the community dental hygienic subject. For this purpose, we measured 30 students' communication ability and problem solving ability using the same questionnaire before and after experiencing project learning. The data were Collected from 30 undergraduate students and analyzed by paired t-test with SPSS. The result demonstrated that project-based learning method has an significant effect on improvement of communication skill and problem solving ability of undergraduate students. Based on the results of this study, in order to improve the practical ability, it is necessary to activate the self-directed active learning method such as Project-based learning for community dental hygiene major study.

The purpose of this study is to propose learning objectives in social dental hygiene by analyzing and reviewing learning objectives in oral health administration area of the existing public oral health. This study is a cross-sectional study. The subjects of the study selected with convenience extraction were 15 members of the social dental hygiene subcommittee of the Korean Society of Dental Hygiene Science. Data collection was conducted by self-filling questionnaire. The research tool is from 48 items of A division in the book of learning objectives in the dental hygienist national examination, and this study classified each of them into 'dental hygiene job relevance', 'dental hygiene competency relevance', 'timeliness', and 'value discrimination of educational goal setting' to comprise 192 items. Also, to collect expert opinions, this study conducted Delphi survey on 7 academic experts. Statistical analysis was performed using the IBM SPSS Statistics ver. 23.0 program (IBM Co., Armonk, NY, USA). Recoding was performed according to the degree of relevance of each learning objective and frequency analysis was performed. This study removed 18 items from the whole learning objectives in the dental hygienist national examination in the oral health administration area of public oral health. Fifteen revisions were made and 15 existing learning objectives were maintained. Forty-five learning objectives were proposed as new social dental hygiene learning objectives. The topics of learning objectives are divided into social security and medical assistance, oral health care system, oral health administration, and oral health policy. As a result of this study, it was necessary to construct the learning objectives of social dental hygiene in response to changing situation at the time. The contents of education should be revised in order of revision of learning objectives, development of competency, development of learning materials, and national examination.

The study was intended to investigate the job values type of freshmen's in the dental hygiene department. A total of 280 freshmen in the dental hygiene departments of the 3 universities were surveyed, and of them, finally 242 volumes of questionnaire were analyzed. Their job values were categorized through twice factor analysis. The findings were as follows. 1. Freshmen's job values in the dental hygiene department were divided into 6 categories; (1) position (2) economic reward (3) social contribution (4) accomplishment (5) ability (6) job interest. 2. Social contribution, accomplishment, ability, and job interest were categorized into internal job values, and position and economic reward were externl ones. 3. Dental hygiene freshmen's external values index (4.24) were higher than internal ones (3.86). 4. Types of job values that dental hygiene freshmen thought important were economic reward (4.39), position (4.07), ability (3.98), and social contribution (3.46).

The purpose of this study was to evaluate community dental hygiene practice education, by verifying its effect after applying project-based learning in improving the practical and social skills of learners. A 15-week project-based community dental hygiene practice course was held for 27 senior students, who took community dental hygiene practice course in the Department of Dental Hygiene, Gangneung-Wonju National University. Twenty-seven students were composed of 4 teams. Each team selected a target group for four workplaces for adult workers to apply the oral health promotion project. The project was then planned and conducted based on a survey on the health problems confronting each group, and an evaluation was carried out after 4 weeks. From the results obtained in comparing confidence in problem solving ability, project value, teamwork competency, and community dental hygienist competence before and after course, the improvement in project value and teamwork competence scores was not statistically significant, but all four areas showed positive results. After analyzing the project actuality, learning outcomes, and project satisfaction after course results, the actuality of the project was 19.30 points, the learning achievement was 45.19 points, and the satisfaction was 19.19 points, demonstrating that the aim of achieving actual performance competence and a learning performance exceeding expectations was accomplished. After conducting an interview survey with 8 students, it was found that they had learned social skills involving problem-solving abilities and confidence, and teamwork competence such as cooperation, role responsibility, creative thinking ability, and communication skills. Community dental hygienists should be able to acquire learner-level practical skills and social skills in the community dental hygiene and practical courses, according to their competencies and job needs. It is necessary to develop a project?based systematic learning module to enable the community dental hygiene practice to operate as a subject closely related to fields in other dental hygiene departments.
