One of the debates regarding the college admission systems is about which admissions screening works as a mechanism for social mobility, between early and regular admissions. This study attempted to contribute to related discussions by analyzing the income level of college admissions students according to the admissions screening (early vs. regular admissions) using data from the third year survey of the Korean Education & Employment Panel II (KEEP II). Analyzing the dataset, we found that parental income was almost the same between students admitted from early and regular admissions. To be specific, average monthly parental income was 586.4 million Korean Won for students admitted from early admission while it was 585.4 million Korean Won for those admitted from regular admission, which means that the difference between the two was neither practically nor statistically significant. Applying the chi-square test, we tested whether the relationship between parental income and types of college admissions and found no statistical significance. Finally, categorizing colleges where students are admitted by ranking, we compared parental incomes among students. We found that parental income was higher for top-ranked universities, and that parental income was higher for students admitted from early admission. We concluded that early admission can possibly be an admission system for "well-offs" between the two, and that early admission may not be working as a pathway to facilitate social mobility compared to the regular admissions.

본 논문에서는 입학 정보 서비스를 제공하는 챗봇을 설계하고 구현한다. 이 챗봇은 Microsoft Azure와 네이버 LINE 채널에서 인하공업전문대학 입학 정보 안내기능을 제공한다. 사용자의 입력을 통한 입학처 챗봇의 대답으로 입학처 정보에 접근 할 수 있다. 사용자가 입력한 데이터는 데이터베이스에서 가공되어 사용자가 접근한 입학 정보를 얻어 낼 수 있어 이를 통한 전형 선호도의 추세와 사용자가 원하는 전형별 정보가 무엇인지 알 수 있으므로 입학처가 추후 나아가야 할 방향을 알 수 있다.

Admission Officer System in humanities course is settled and is obtaining good results. On the other hand, Admission Officer System in natural world course has an insufficient results in study achievement section comparing other admission type. To resolve this problem, Admission Officer system in natural world course has to reflect basic academic ability of mathematics and science. Also, after entering university to increase the basic academic ability follow-up service is positively necessary.

The goal of the entrance examination models is to promote promising and potential students who are suitable for post-secondary education purposes. Recently, a promotion system based on the admissions supervisors has been the major role for the promotion of students. Various statistical models and methods should be applied for the better and reasonable promotion of promising Korean and international students. In this study, we applied the proper methods in statistical methodologies and show the meaningful results on the performance evaluation of the several entrance examination models for a university in Seoul, Korea.

It is becoming increasingly difficult for colleges to recruit new students to their full capacity. The increase of the withdrawal rate drives these colleges into crisis yet little has been done about it, because students with great possibility to withdraw enter colleges and old measures to stop them from dropping out hardly work. This study attempts to grope new measures to prevent dropout from college. To do this, I investigated withdrawal rate by college admission types and suggested measures to reduce withdrawal rate by incorporating the results of the investigation into admission procedures. I also compared the different types of admission in students satisfaction with college life and withdrawal rate, and suggested the measures to alleviated withdrawal rate. I expect the suggestions made in this study would be used effectively to reduce the withdrawal in colleges.
