This study aims to find the direction of subject-divisional plan and the change of composition factors in university Library. To confront new information environment, change of service providing environment, academic characteristics of universities. and users' information needs, the collection and service of university libraries are needed to be restructured based on subject-divisional plan. To adopt subject divisional plan effectively. it is necessary to recognize necessity and reasonability of subject - divisional plan by analyzing a change of physical, intellectual, human, and user factors in the libraries from the aspect of subject-divisional plan. That is, the collection and service of university libraries should be reorganized according to the subjects along with such changes as below. First, people came to consider convenience of space and path of building inside more than past. Second, collection becomes constructed and materials are located based on effectiveness rather than logicality. Third, subject oriented service of library became active through developing the subject abilities of librarians. Fourth, users have tendency to visit libraries lot a special subject matter.

The present thesis aims to analyze in consideration of recent changes in teaching environment in the universities the commercial digital contents and e-learning courses provided by the libraries, and to propose the ways to encourage university library service needed under the current situation. A survey of professors and students upon the quality of commercial digital contents service provided by the libraries in I University was made to measure its influence upon e-learning courses. The quality of commercial digital contents service provided by libraries was measured through Digital Library Service Quality Index (which will be referred as DL-SQL Model from here), which is used as a model to examine the Digital Library Service, with partial adjustments of 4 levels (information system service, digital books service, customer service quality, and customer community service) and 7 components (search possibility, an exclusive organization and interface, accessibility, digital books, customer support service, personalized service, and customer community). Among the library services in regard to digital contents, "customer service" and "customer community service" were analyzed to have stronger influence upon e-learning teaching and studying than quality-based service for "information system" and "digital books". Consequently, it is concluded that customized information service provided by the library for the professors who teach e-learning courses and their students is more influential to supporting e-learning courses than quantity pushing service through purchasing commercial digital contents, upon which the direction of digital contents policy to provide library services for e-learning courses should be based.

This study examines the web-based education which is changing the educational paradigm itself according to the development of IT and the spread of Internet in the IT society and the information literacy which have been emerging as survival techniques. Based on Technology Acceptance Model that provides useful theoretical foundations for analyzing the factors influencing acceptance IT, it determined the factors influencing of accepting the information literacy instruction as follows: perceived usefulness; perceived ease of use; connectivity ; reactivity of web-based education ; job relevance: university library' support; ACRL standards and effects of the information literacy Instruction. This paper confirmed the influences of these factors of accepting the web-based information literacy instruction through empirical study. I have suggested factors affecting the acceptance of web-based information literacy instruction by Conducting positive researches on how these factors influence the acceptance of web-based information literacy instruction of university libraries.

Unlike the past, university libraries are able to provide specialized and differentiated information services due to the advent of information technology and telecommunication. Such services are essential not only to the primary users, such as professors and students in the universities, but also to the external users including corporations, researchers, and the general public. Now, university libraries as a means of resource sharing with communities should develop the services to play a role as a research and information center and expand such services to outside users who need the information services. Accordingly financial support is a necessity to provide the services, thereby fee-based information services are one of the devices for solving the financial burden and controlling outside users. This paper tries to present a program for fee-based information services which are able to be implemented by university libraries. Also the papers deals with the present conditions of fee-based information services provided by university libraries briefly and the goals of the program; coverage of subjects and types of materials for the program; organizations and staff; types of fee-based information services; management methods of program.

This study examined (1) what effect emotional labor has on an university library, focusing on (2) the relationship among a supervisor's emotional intelligence, the extent of social support and the level of library service on job performance. The survey period took place from 14 Oct. to 4 Nov. 2013. 533 librarians at 13 public and 28 private university libraries were included in the survey. Of the 533 surveys distributed, 529 were returned and used in the final analysis. SPSS Win 21.0 was used for statistical analysis, factor analysis, regression analysis and differential analysis. The survey also shows that a librarian's emotional labor affects emotional intelligence of supervisor, social support and library service level positively. This finding is not the case for the employees in the general service industry. Because the librarian is professional and manages stress better than general employees. This research suggest the following practical measures. Educational programs for librarian's emotional intelligence should be planned in order to improve library service.

This study intends to discuss Korea's LIS education focused on the field of 'information organization' in detail. Emphasis was on analyzing the current curriculum in Korea's LIS school and on discussing facing problems and new directions in the education of the field. To the end, this study collected and examined exhaustively the course contents and instruction of the related courses in 32 Korea's LIS schools, and the research papers related to LIS education, especially information organization's education. In addition, American LIS education was analyzed to compare with Korea's. In conclusion, this study suggested that the LIS school education should emerged from excessive emphasis on practical skills and concentrate on the philosophy, principles and the implicit values of information organization.

The purpose of the research was to investigate the organizational integration process of the university library, computer center and other informa ion related operations. The research process follows : first, the literature review of the organizational integration of the information related operations. second, analysis of the organizational integration in Korea. third, the organizational integration of information related operation in US and Japan, then the case analysis of information related organizational integrations in Korea. This process lead us to point out few problems and pitfalls that could occur in the integration procedure. The total integration procedure has turned out to be the most effective in the University environment. And for the management of fully integrated organization. Vice-President and Chief Information Officer, - who is reponsible to suggest vision, leadership and ability to cope with the complex nature of the future information society - was strongly suggested.

본 연구는 기록관리기관에서의 기록물 특성과 대학기록관의 현황을 고찰한 후, 대학기록물이 어떻게 분류되고 관리되고 있는지를 분석하고 문제점을 파악함으로써 한 대학에서 적용할 수 있는 분류체계(안)을 제시하였다. 통합관리를 위해 협력관계를 지닌 조직들(예:도서관)과는 협력하고, 각 기구의 기록물들은 생산된 시점에 아키비스트가 생성한 기록분류표를 활용하여 최초 분류되도록 함으로써, 기록물의 효율적인 관리는 가능하게 될 것이다.

The purpose of this study was to identify research trends on librarians' behaviors(LB) in Korea. 163 papers were selected in four representative journals published in Korean LIS, 1970-2015. The papers were analyzed in terms of period, journal, theme, purpose of research, research method, areas, type of author. The findings are as follows. 1) LB of University library were 28.8% and then that of public library were 26.9%. 2) Organizational behaviors of librarians were 52.7%, and then work behaviors were 31.9%. 3) Purposes of research were to examine librarians' perception (52.7%) and then to improve of current state of libraries(41.1%). 4) Quantitative research method was heavily found(82.2%). 5) Research purpose on LB of University library was related to identify perception of librarians, and that of Public library was related to improve current state of libraries. It discussed four strategies for sustaining growth of LB study aspect of research subject, research purpose, research method, and editorial strategies of four journals.

The purpose of this study is to derive the operation strategies for establishing the mid-to-long-term comprehensive library development plans considering the identity and specificity of Anyang City. For this purpose, this study proceeded as follows. First, to understand the internal and external environment and regional characteristics of Anyang City, various literature and statistical data related to Anyang City were collected, analyzed, and organized. Second, the operation status of Anyang municipal libraries was analyzed with data such as 「National Library Statistics System」, 「Gyeonggido Public Library Yearbook」, and various library-related laws. Third, a survey with open-ended questions was conducted for twenty-six librarians working in Anyang municipal libraries to collect opinions on the identity of Anyang and the overall operations of the libraries. Lastly, by reflecting the current status analysis, the latest library trends, policies, and sociocultural environments, detailed operation strategies that can serve as a basis for establishing mid-to long term development plans for Anyang municipal libraries in the future were proposed. The above operating strategies were proposed by dividing into six areas such as (1) the plans for organizational system and manpower composition, (2) the facility plans for balanced regional development, (3) the collection development and preservation direction, (4) the special subject materials service plans, (5) the for establishing cooperation system, and (6) the public relations plans.
