Case Study of Industrial- Academic Cooperation Capstone Design Subject Development in Non-face-to-face Educational Environment (비대면 교육 환경에서 산학협력형 캡스톤 디자인 교과목 개발 사례 연구)

  • This study aims to provide an industry-university cooperation cap in a non-face-to-face environment so that sharing and cooperation between universities can be shared based on the advanced digital technology between various universities at a time when it is rapidly changing to an online mode. It is in developing the stone design course. To this end, we analyzed the literature and previous studies on non-face-to-face environments and capstone design, developed a model for industrial-educational collaboration-type capstone design subjects in non-face-to-face environments, and suggested an application plan. The wearable capstone design program was pilot-applied, and the effectiveness was confirmed and corrected through the students' interview and questionnaire. This can be used as an industrial-educational cooperation engineering class capstone design class plan, providing basic data for development and operation, and as a step-by-step operation guide in a non-face-to-face environment.

A Study on the Assessment of Current and Future directions for Clothing and Textiles (의류학의 현재와 미래의 방향에 대한 연구 -의류학과 교수의견을 중심으로-)

  • 간학문적 특성이 강한 의류학은 최근 급변하는 사회환경 즉, 학생들의 전문적 경험에 대한 요구, 패션업계와의 유기적 상호관계, 컴퓨터 등 과학기술의 발달, 사회의전문화, 세분화, 정보화, 세계화 등에 능동적으로 대처하여 의류학 졸업생들의 경쟁력을 강화시키기 위하여 보다 질적으로 향상된 의류학의 방향을 모색하도록 요구받고 있다. 따라서 본 연구의 목적은 1) 의류학의 목표는 무엇이며 현재 강조되고 있는 분야와 교과목 및 취업기회는 어떠한지, 그리고 미래에 의류학이 당면할 수 있는 문제들은 무엇인지, 2) 프로그램이 어떻게 바뀌어졌으며 앞으로 어떠한 방향으로 발전되어 갈 것인가에 대하여 연구하고자 한다. 연구방법은 전국 43개 4년제 대학의 의류학 관련 교수 110명을 대상으로 설문지법을 사용하였으녀 회수된 58부(53% 회수율)를 SAS로 통계처리하여 Likert's method of summated ratings로 분석하였다. 연구결과에 따르면 의류학의 목표가 가정중심의 복지 향상(M=2.5, SD=1.0)에서 의류학 분야의 전문인을 양성(M=4.8, SD=0.4)하는 것으로 변화하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 전반적으로 디자인 분야(M=4.8, SD=0.5)와 구성분야 (M+4.5, SD=0.7)가 풍부한 교과목과 함께 강조되고 있으며 디자인 분야의 취업성향이 가장 많은 것으로 나타났다. 교과목이 많이 증설되었으며 (특히 디자인분야) 실험실습시간이 증가되고 인접학문 교과목과 현장실습경험이 증가추세에 있는 것으로 나타났다. 앞으로 의류학의 발전을 위해 전문적 이미지 제고와 함께 졸업생의 취업기획의 증가, 의류산업체와의 인턴제도를 통한 산학협동, 그리고 컴퓨터 활용 증대 등이 요구되고 있는 것으로 나타났다.

A Study on Portfolio of Design Subjects (설계교과목의 포트폴리오에 대한 연구)

  • Recently, the interest in Accreditation of Engineering Education, which aims at facilitating the development of engineering education and producing the high calibre of graduates in engineering schools, is increasing. The accreditation requires the students to prepare a portfolio which shows the educational achievements from all courses at the university. In the portfolio, educational activities and outputs of the student are included as a part of the achievements. Particularly, in the portfolio of design-related courses, outputs of the design the student has made until the graduation are accumulated. The outputs enable others to measure the design capability of the student and can be used as important reference materials when applying for employment or graduate school. In this paper, I propose a format of the portfolio for practical exercise courses, engineering design, and undergraduate design and explain the ways of the utilization of the portfolio.

  • To foster fire investigation professionals and expand career opportunities for graduates of fire science majors, it is extremely important to expand and reorganize courses which are related to fire investigation. Only 30 percent of universities have fire investigation related courses, and the courses only offer theoretical materials. As a result, it has a great limitation to teach essential knowledge which is required at a fire scene. This study suggests to classify fire investigation-related-courses in to fire investigation course and fire identification course. In addition, the study proposes ways to standardize curricula which enables students to acquire Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (CFEI).

  • The purpose of this study is to revise the curriculum of mathematics, which is the basic for the engineering studies, especially for the disciplines of the electronic engineering, computer science, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, environmental engineering, civil engineering and architecture. Another goal of this research was to integrate a computer software, MATLAB into a mathematics course so that the mathematical concepts and theories in the course can be visualized to help students understand some difficult subjects and enhance their interest in mathematics.

  • As Web based knowledge and technology is needed for librarians in the digital environments, it should be educated through the Department of Library and Information(DLI) courses. For importing the courses in DLI, we go through several preliminary stages. First, the role and duties of web masters in digital libraries are figured out. Second, it is known that the tendency of MLS courses in American universities is toward to adopt the web related subjects, but still not in Korea. Third, the survey finds out the recognition of web masters in Korean university libraries about the functions and abilities web masters. As the results, we suggest several subjects for the web master's training. They are HTML, XML, Window NT and Web Server Management, Javascript and Java, Networks, Mutimedia Programs, Programming, and LINUX.

Identifying Topics of LIS Curricula by Keyword Analysis - Focused on Information Technology Classes of US and Korea (교과 키워드 분석을 통한 문헌정보학과 교육 주제 연구 - 한국·미국 정보기술관련 교과 중심으로 -)

  • Since information technology such as database or network technology was brought into the information and library science fields, the functions and services of libraries have drastically changed. To cope with the changes of fields, library schools have been improving curricula. This study collected curricula of library and information science in US and Korea and selected classes related to information technology. It also investigated the title keywords and keywords of class description statistically. As a result, 'system, 'database', 'network', 'programing', 'web' are major topic keywords for both countries, but 'library'shows high frequency pnly in Korea.

  • Since new issues and topics are emerging in the information and library science fields, diverse needs are identified to enhance the curriculum of library and information science education. This study investigated curriculum of library and information science in US and identified the topics of classes in the curriculum by the three aspects such as competency areas, scientific and technology category, and research fields. Consequently, topics related various information technology including system design and implement are the most popular topics in all analyses. Library and information center management and user service are also major topics of the curriculum.

  • In this paper, to solve the imbalance between the skill factors demanded by the industry and the curriculum of the universities, demand-oriented educational contents are developed in the computer-software field. In the field, five tracks are selected: Software Development, System Integration, Embedded System Software, Multimedia and Game Software, and Business Information Technology. In each track, a curriculum with four demand-oriented courses is developed to reflect the demands of the IT industry. Detailed syllabuses and course materials are developed as well. Applying these artifacts, lectures have been performed at universities since 2004.

  • This Study is Compared and analyzed for the curriculum of department of Library and Information Science of Junior college. For two purpose, A Literature study was done with new knowledge in Library and Curriculum of domestic Junior College were compared and analyzed in order to derive necommendable common subjects. Therefore curriculum of department Library and Information Science of Junior College in gradually changing forseed on conventional subject.
