Development of Total Cholesterol Detection System by Fluorescence Chromatography (형광 크로마토그래피에 의한 콜레스테롤 측정법의 개발)

  • In this study, we have developed a fluorescence chromatographic assay for the quantification of total cholesterol in serum, which is a well-known risk predictor for cardiovascular diseases. The new assay system consists of a chromatographic strip in a cartridge, enzyme buffer containing cholesterol esterase, cholesterol oxidase, horseradish peroxidase, and color developer AEC, and a laser fluorescence scanner. The correlation coefficient (r) between cholesterol concentration and relative fluorescence units was 0.968 in the new assay, showing a reliable linearity through the tested range of cholesterol. Recovery test and comparability with a Hitachi 747 instrument showed 106.5-94% and r = 0.939 (p<0.001), respectively. The new assay system for cholesterol was developed as a pre-POCT platform conducted in clinics since it is fast (8 min) and uses a small volume of sample ($5\;{\mu}l$), and it may be applied for on-site diagnostics to replace expensive automated biochemical analyzer.

  • 목적 : 최근 들어 여러 가지 디지털 의료장비와 각종 의료정보시스템, 인터넷의 활용에 따라 다양한 종류의 의료정보와 지식이 엄청나게 증가하고 있고, 최신의 진료환경구축을 위해서 이러한 지식과 정보들을 통합 관리하려는 필요성과 요구가 대두되고 있다. 그러나 이러한 요구들은 기존의 종이로 된 차트나 필름 등의 기법에서는 물론이고 여러 가지 독립적인 전산 시스템들 <처방전달시스템(OCS), 의료영상저장전송시스템(PACS) 등>을 통해서도 충족되기 어려운 것이 현실이다. 왜냐하면 기존에 설치된 의료 정보 시스템들은 대체로 독자적인 처리방식과 내부구조를 가지고 있기 때문에 서로 다른 의료 정보 시스템간에 정보를 교환한다는 것이 사실상 매우 어렵거나 심지어는 불가능한 경우가 있기 때문이다. 그러나 이러한 의료 정보들을 최대한 유기적으로 활용하기 위해서는 이상의 여러 가지 의료 정보 시스템들을 완벽히 통합하는 것이 필수적이고 이러한 통합의료정보시스템이 비로소 진료에 있어서의 의사결정 과정에 중추적으로 활용될 수 있는 것이다. 특히 의료영상을 다루는 PACS에서는 다른 종류의 의료정보시스템인 OCS(처방전달시스템)와의 연계가 매우 중요하다. 그러나 이러한 중요성에도 불구하고 병원의 전산시스템이 서로 호환되지 않음으로 인해 OCS/PACS 통합은 PACS 도입과정 중에서 가장 어려운 부분으로 인식되어 온 것이 사실이다. 이제까지의 PACS에 있어서는 대량의 영상 데이터를 고속으로 처리하기 위한 기술적인 문제에 주로 관심을 기울였으며 기존의 정보 시스템과의 연계 또는 통합문제는 충분히 고려되지 않았다. 그 결과 PACS를 도입한 병원에서는 기대와는 달리 PACS 운용을 위한 많은 인력소모가 뒤따르거나 운용에 차질을 빚는 등 여러가지 문제가 발생하게 되었다. 따라서 이제까지의 PACS 개발이 기술적인 문제 해결을 위한 방향 접근에서 이루어졌다면, 이제부터는 기술적인 해결을 바탕으로 하여 병원내의 임상운용환경에서 그 효율성을 최대화할 수 있기 위하여 기존 OCS/PACS의 통합 연계성을 주 관심으로 하는 임상적인 접근이 이루어져야 할 시점이라고 파악된다. 이와 같은 OCS/PACS의 통합은 병원 내에서 일어나는 일련의 진료 과정들에 있어서 문자정보뿐 아니라 영상정보까지를 포함하는 모든 진료정보의 관리와 전달을 컴퓨터화 함으로써 진료효율을 비약적으로 형상 시키는 효과를 가져올 수 있으므로 궁극적으로는 모든 병원의 정보시스템이 지향하는 목표이기도 하다. 따라서 OCS/PACS의 통합을 구현하기 위해서는 기존 방식과 OCS/PACS 통합 방식의 차이점이 분석 되어져야 하며 이러한 분석을 바탕으로 차후 병원에 도입되는 시스템이 안정적이고 완성도 높은 병원 정보화 시스템으로 구축 되어져야 하므로 이에 따른 통합 시스템에 대한 분석을 하고자 한다.

A Study on Development of Shotcrete Material using Fly Ash (Fly Ash을 이용한 Shotcrete 재료의 개발에 관한 연구)

  • Currently, the shotcrete used as basic support in the tunnel excavation, has the advantages of maintaining high-level strength in condition of early shooting with thin thickness based on the excavation characteristics of rock mass. Therefore supreme equipment and materials were developed and the great strides have continued. Also, the development of measurement technology and the rocks behaviors of undergound are evaluated in detail and the designs of strength and thickness are made. The reinforcement materials development of new material is carried on. Most of the coal fly ash produced in Korea fire power plant is fly ash and bottom mash. Fly ash has been producing to be applied in many fields such as cement, aggregate, construction, civil, agriculture and fisheries. Also a lot of experiments are actively on the way. Therefore in this experiment, in order to use the fly ash mixed with concrete as a material of shotcrete, the experiment was performed in the best content to reduce the compression strength and the shooting rebound ratio of the excavated surface to use fly ash as a substitute material of concrete. As a result, when 15%.wt substitution was made to the fly ash, about 10% of compression strength and 6% of rebound ratio was reduced.

Maritime Navigation to Aid Costal Sailing of Small-Size Ship (소형선의 연안항해를 지원하는 해상내비게이션)

  • We have studied on the maritime navigation with functions of navigation route search and maritime safety information for small-size fishery ships, fishing boats, yachts, and boats in coastal seas. We have designed a smart phone application which is more exact information on marine obstacles of islands, aquafarms, and rocks by using land navigation techniques. Our navigation system is relatively easy to be used for costal navigation and may be a substitute for expensive ECDIS(Electronic Chart Display and Information System). Our system consists of maritime navigation databases to manage necessary maritime data and a mobile application to support maritime navigation for operators. We believe that our research findings can improve safety navigation in coastal seas by supporting lower cost, no time-consuming installation and maintenance, and easy-to-use operations.

The Measurement System for Small Microphone's Electro Acoustic Characteristics (소형 마이크로폰의 전기적인 음향 특성 측정 시스템)

  • The parameters of electric acoustic characteristic used as standards to evaluate the performance of a small microphone are composed of sensitivity, harmonic distortion, frequency response, directivity and others. Such characteristic parameters should be designed differently depending on a purpose, so it is important to verify whether a small microphone was made appropriately for the purpose after measuring the acoustic characteristics. Therefore, a system that can measure the acoustic characteristic parameters of a small microphone using DSP, not only simultaneously but also in real-time, was implemented in this paper. To verify the implemented system, four kinds of microphones were measured and the results were compared with the data values of the acoustic characteristics of each microphone. There were a little discrepancy between them because the conditions when measuring the characteristics were not identical. But it was verified that the errors are within the error tolerance and it proved that the system can be used in place of the conventional equipment used in measuring the acoustic characteristics of small microphones.

Development of Self-Diagnosis Linearity Quality Assurance Technique in Computed Tomography by Using Iodic Contrast Media (요오드 조영제를 이용한 전산화단층촬영장치의 자가진단 직선성 정도관리 기술 개발)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a self-diagnostic linearity quality control techniques of computed tomography (CT) by using measured CT number values from the various concentrations of iodine contrast media (CM) is diluted with distilled water under each condition of the tube voltage. The equipment was used for four-channel MDCT, the iodine concentration were using 300 mgI/ml, 350 mgI/ml, 370 mgI/ml and 400mgI/ml. Dilution of CM in distilled water was increased by each 5% until the maximum CT number values were measured. We applied the tube voltages for 90 kVp, 120 kVp, 140 kVp. As a result, we was obtained to the nearest linearity as 0.993 of correlation coefficient between the iodinated CM from 5% to 25% in 400 mgI/ml and the CT number values by 90 kVp. In conclusion, the proposed self-diagnostic linearity quality assurance technique by using iodine CM can be utilized to replace the AAPM CT performance phantom.

Physical and Mechanical Characteristics of Subgrade Soil using Nondestructive and Penetration Tests (비파괴시험과 관입시험에 의한 노상토의 물리·역학적 특성)

  • This paper evaluates the applicability of wave-based nondestructive methodologies and a penetration test for compaction quality measurements during road construction. To evaluate the physical and mechanical properties of compacted subgrade soil layers, soil stiffness gauge (SSG), time domain reflectometry (TDR), and miniature electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) accelerometers were used to nondestructively evaluate the soil response during and after compaction and dynamic cone penetrometer (DCP) profiles were used to evaluate the soil shear strength after compaction was completed. At the field site, two types of soils were compacted with four different compaction equipments and energies. Field testing results indicate that soil parameters evaluated by different testing methods, which are SSG, TDR, MEMS accelerometer, and DCP, are highly correlated. In addition, it is shown that the physical and mechanical tests deployed in this study can be used as alternative methods to the conventional compaction quality evaluation methods when assessing the overall quality and the engineering response of compacted lifts.

  • The current Inn technique is many problems that is permission of radio station using RF Wireless Modem, that is influence of geographic obstacle using radio wave, that is frequency interference, that is finiteness of frequency resources. In this paper, we are solved many elements, IM replaces RF Wireless Modem, we suggest transmission technique of correction message using mobile phone, we researched Interface Module development which is linkage of DGPS receiver and mobile phone. IM can transmit correction message passing RS-232 port and modem communication control. IM of base station is initialized RS-232 port and modem to move station for correction message transmission, IM waited response mode. IM of move station is initialized RS-232 port and modem, IM requests hand shaking to base station, completed connection establishment. Users are worked Differential surveying using receiving correction message between mobile phones.

  • Currently, ECDIS and GPS plotters are much used as equipment providing operators with route information, but they do not have any function of automatic route creation and route explanation, so available for only experienced operators. Especially, the present situation is tint no study is made of the automatic route creation and route explanation using ENC for ECDIS, substitution system of paper chart. ENC is the electronic navigation chart that is produced using S-52, S-57 standard format required by IHQ. In this paper, an Vessel Operator Support System(VOSS) is proposed to generate an optimal route where ENC and GPS data is fusioned induding the wind direction and speed of an anemometer and tide data. The proposed system was testified by a simulation, and its effectiveness was verified.

  • Recently, smart phones are spread out as a universal mobile terminal equipment. Its provide USB interface to connect with various devices. Smart phones may be replaced with high priced monitoring equipments because of portability and mobility as its merit. In addition to that, the various sensor devices detecting surrounding environment of the radioactivity, sodium or electromagnetic waves have been announced. But the plug and play methods of sensor devices have some problem to connect smart phone with USB accessory device. We propose an integrated methodology that can connect smart phone with USB sensor devices and also, we realized USB accessory plug and play with one App that can collect measurement data through various sensor devices.
