Analysis of Water Quality improvement of Upper Stream for the Chung-ju Dam according to Reducing Pollution Using QUAL2E Model (QUAL2E 모형을 이용한 오염원변화에 따른 충주댐 상류 유역의 수질 개선 효과 분석)

  • The research grasps water quality contamination source by investigating the data that are superordinate laws and the related plans implemented for establishing water quality improvement measures of upper stream for Chung-Ju Dam, present conditions of the hydraulic and hydrology, the present conditions and plans of environment basic facilities, and present conditions of main contamination source's occurrence load and discharge load, etc. The research used the QUAL2E simulation which is being widely applied to simulation of river water quality because the QUAL2E has high credibility among water quality simulations known throughout the country. On basis of this research, regulations and politic alternatives are required in order to water quality improvement upper stream for the Chung-ju dam, especially establishing processing facilities in the region where loading amount is concentrated should be considered with the additional research regarding cost-efficient facility of pollution source.

Application of QUAL2K Model for Daejeon Tandongcheon, A Small Urban Stream and Evaluation of Terrace Land Constructed Wetland (도시 소하천, 대전 탄동천, 수질개선 대안 수립을 위한 QUAL2K 수질모델 구축과 제외지 인공습지공법 적용 효율 평가)

  • The Tandong-cheon stream is a 7.4 km long small urban stream that passes through Daeduk Science Town in Daejeon Korea. Despite the stream has great potential as an educational and recreational site due to its central location in the science town and science museums nearby, environmental aspect especially for water quality has not been evaluated properly. Through field survey, major pollution sources of the stream were identified and effect of water quality improvement alternatives were evaluated using a QUAL2K water quality model for the stream. The study indicated that controlling major pollution sources of the stream alone may not be sufficient for reaching the water quality target. Therefore, additional pollution control methods are necessary. We applied the developed model to evaluate the effects of a constructed wetland on the terrace land, and analyzed whether the water quality target can be met at the outlet of the stream. It is expected that this study would provide a good reference for environmentally sound management of small urban streams in Korea.

  • 최근 급속한 도시의 팽창과 산업의 발전으로 인하여 가스시설은 급속히 확대되고 있는 실정이다. 이러한 가스시설물의 중요성을 인식하고 많은 도시가스업체에서는 가스관망 시설정보를 전산화하여 항상 최신의 현황을 유지할 수 있는 가스시설물관리시스템을 개발하여 사용하고 있다. 그러나 이러한 시스템은 가스시설물의 현황파악 및 유지관리를 위한 기본적인 기능만을 제공하는 관계로, 가스 누출사고 발생시 정확한 사태의 파악과 함께 신속한 대책 마련을 위한 의사결정 지원이 어려운 실정이다. 따라서 체계적인 가스사고관리를 수행할 수 있는 응용시스템의 필요성이 증대되고 있다. 이러한 시점에서 본 연구에서는 가스사고분석을 신속하고 체계적으로 수행할 수 있는 가스사고관리 적용알고리즘 분석 및 최적의 알고리즘을 정립하여 가스사고관리시스템을 구현하였다. 본 연구를 통한 결과는 1ㆍ2차 차단밸브의 산정이 가능해짐으로써 빈번한 가스 누출사고 발생시 실시간으로 적정대처방안의 제시가 가능하게 되었다. 또한, 누출 최대가스량을 제시함으로써 누출에 대한 피해예상 분석을 위한 정보 제공 및 가스의 신속한 재공급을 위해 필요한 의사결정 지원 정보의 제공이 가능하게 되었다. 아울러, 가스누출사고에 의한 가스공급중단 관로 및 수용가에 대한 속성현황의 파악은 물론 시각적인 도식을 통한 전체적 현황파악이 가능하였다. 이러한 가스사고관리시스템의 개발을 통하여 사고 발생시 신속한 사고방안 제시 및 사고피해의 최소화를 위해 필요한 의사결정 지원 정보의 제공이 가능하게 됨으로써 국민의 안전 및 복지와 도시가스업체의 업무 효율화로 인한 예산절감 효과를 기대할 수 있다. 가시권 분석기능을 이용하여 실제 지형공간상에서 전파경로 손실치를 도시화함으로써 전파관리자가 무선서비스지역 설계, 전파음영지역 판단, 최적 중계기와 기지국 위치 선정에 기여할 것으로 판단된다.하지 않은 지역과 서로 다른 분광특성을 나타내므로 별도의 Segment를 형성하게 된다. 따라서 임상도의 경계선으로부터 획득된 Super-Object의 분광반사 값과 그 안에서 형성된 Sub-Object의 분광반사값의 차이를 이용하여 임상도의 갱신을 위한 변화지역을 탐지하였다.라서 획득한 시추코아에 대해서도 각 연구기관이 전 구간에 대해 동일하게 25%의 소유권을 가지고 있다. ?스굴 시추사업은 2008년까지 수행될 계획이며, 시추작업은 2005년까지 완료될 계획이다. 연구 진행과 관련하여, 공동연구의 명분을 높이고 분석의 효율성을 높이기 위해서 시료채취 및 기초자료 획득은 4개국의 연구원이 모여 공동으로 수행한 후의 결과물을 서로 공유하고, 자세한 전문분야 연구는 각 국의 대표기관이 독립적으로 수행하는 방식을 택하였다 ?스굴에 대한 제1차 시추작업은 2004년 3월 말에 실시하였다. 시추작업 결과, 약 80m의 시추 코아가 성공적으로 회수되어 현재 러시아 이르쿠츠크 지구화학연구소에 보관중이다. 이 시추코아는 2004년 8월 중순경에 4개국 연구팀원들에 의해 공동으로 기재된 후에 분할될 계획이다. 분할된 시료는 국내로 운반되어 다양한 전문분야별 연구에 이용될 것이다. 한편, 제2차 시추작업은 2004년 12월에서 2005년 2월 사이에 실시될 계획이다. 수백만년에 이르는 장기간에 걸쳐 지구환경변화 기록이 보존되어 있는 ?스굴호에 대한

A Study on the Impact of International Prices on Domestic Prices and Export Prices in Korea (국제물가 변동 충격이 국내물가와 수출물가에 미치는 영향 분석)

  • In this paper, I investigate how international prices affect domestic prices and export prices in Korea by using vector error correction model(VECM) and estimate its impact on international trade. According to the empirical results, international prices, such as world raw material prices and oil prices, make stronger effects on domestic prices, in order of import, export, producer, and consumer prices. And recent years the effect of international raw material prices on domestic prices becomes larger. It implies importers, exporters and producers are more affected by international prices than consumers are. Therefore, the international trade, import and export, is affected by changes in international prices. Firms, especially importing and exporting companies, should do much efforts on risk managing about raw material prices variation, diversification of raw material suppliers, and oversea resources development. The government is needed to support on firms those efforts while doing its economic policies to cope with economic conditions and the price policy.

A Study on the Thermal Crack Control of the In-Ground LNG Storage Tank as Super Massive Structures (지하식 LNG 저장탱크 구조물의 온도균열 제어에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, thermal stress analysis are carried out considering material properties, curing condition, ambient temperature, and casting date of the mass concrete placed in bottom slab and side wall of the in-ground type LNG tank as a super massive structure. Also, based on the numerical results, cracking possibility is predicted and counter measures to prevent the cracking are proposed. For the tasks, two optimum mix proportions were selected. From the results of the thermal stress analysis, the through crack index of 1.2 was satisfied for separately caste concrete lots except for the bottom slab caste in 2 separate sequences. For the double caste bottom slab, it is necessary introduce counter measures such as pre-cooling prior to the site construction. Also, another crack preventive measure is to lower the initial casting temperature by $25^{\circ}C$ or less to satisfy 1.2 through crack index criterion. In the $1^{st}$ and $2^{nd}$ caste bottom slab, the surface crack index was over 1.2. Therefore, the surface cracks can be controlled by implementing the curing conditions proposed in this study. Since the side wall's surface crack index was over 1.0, it is safe to assume that the counter preventive measures can control width and number of cracks.

A Study on Introduction of Greenhouse Gas Emission Trading Scheme in Korea (우리나라 온실가스 배출권거래제도의 도입에 관한 연구)

  • This study aims to introduce greenhouse gas emission trading in Korea as a highly cost-effective mechanism for controlling emissions. The Basic Act on Low-Carbon Green Growth will cover methods of emissions allocation, national inventory, and trading systems (i.e. emissions trading platforms, national registry,and clearing and settlement platforms). The Korean emission scheme will be based on the Korean Climate Change Act proposed by the National Assembly and Government with a cap-and-trade scheme. The national allowances will be allocated by the hybrid system. To establish the national inventory, TRADEMARKS (Telemetering System) and emissions factors are effective for greenhouse gas emissions measurement. It will likewise be effective for the national registry to be implemented via a Korean Integrated Registry, the emissions trading platform via the KRX (Korean Exchange), and the clearing and settlement platform via the KSD (Korean Securities Depository). In other words, the KRX will manage product development and marketing for Korean Carbon Financial Instruments (including commodities, futures, and options contracts) listed and admitted to trading on the KRX. All emissions trades will be standardized and cleared by the KSD.

  • Voice over IP (VoIP) is a technology for the delivery of voice communications and multimedia sessions over Internet Protocol (IP) networks. Instead of being transmitted over a circuit-switched network, however, the digital information is packetized, and transmission occurs in the form of IP packets over a packet-switched network which consist of several layers of computers. VoIP Service that used the various techniques has many advantages such as a voice Service, multimedia and additional service with cheap cost and so on. But the various frauds arises using VoIP because VoIP has the existing vulnerabilities at the Internet and based on complex technologies, which in turn, involve different components, protocols, and interfaces. According to research results, during in 2012, 46 % of fraud calls being made in VoIP. The revenue loss is considerable by fraud call. Among we will analyze for Toll Bypass Fraud by the SIM Box that occurs mainly on the international call, and propose the measures that can detect. Typically, proposed solutions to detect Toll Bypass fraud used DPI(Deep Packet Inspection) based on a variety of detection methods that using the Signature or statistical information, but Fraudster has used a number of countermeasures to avoid it as well. Particularly a Fraudster used countermeasure that encrypt VoIP Call Setup/Termination of SIP Signal or voice and both. This paper proposes the solution that is identifying equipment of Toll Bypass fraud using those countermeasures. Through feature of Voice traffic analysis, to detect involved equipment, and those behavior analysis to identifying SIM Box or Service Sever of VoIP Service Providers.

Evaluation of Freeway Mobile Work Zone Safety using Driving Simulations (주행 시뮬레이션을 활용한 고속도로 이동공사 안전성평가)

  • There exists a limitation to provide proper advance information for safe maneuvering through guidance and caution signs in freeway mobile work zones, unlike fixed work zones. Although a work-protection vehicle is currently deployed at the rear of the work vehicle, more active countermeasures to prevent crashes are required. The purpose of this study was to propose a method to evaluate the safety in mobile work zones and to present effective countermeasures. Driving simulation experiments were conducted to analyze characteristics of driver's behavior in mobile and fixed work zones. Safety distance index (SDI) based on the comparison of stopping distances of a work-protection vehicle and a following subject vehicle was used to evaluate traffic safety. More dangerous driving behavior was observed in the mobile work zone. Especially, it was identified that the lane-change of vehicles following the work- protection vehicle was late. Therefore, it is necessary to actively introduce methods to provide warning information so that the driver can recognize the work-protection vehicle in advance and carry out appropriate evasive maneuvers.

Factors affecting family Caregivers' Preference for Utilization of Community Eldercare Services (가족부양자의 재가복지서비스 이용의사에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구)

  • This study examined the factors affecting family caregiver's preference for utilization of community care services among those who are caring for 65+ elderly parents, and aimed to show how social eldercare services would be settled in Korea. Help-seeking behavior model developed by Anderson and Newman(1973) was used to analyze the factors affecting their preference for utilizing the community care service among 283 family caregivers. Frequency, Chi-square, and Multinominal logistic analysis on SAS 6.12 was used. According to the results, about 90% of the family caregivers have preference for community and institute care services. In community care service, about a half comprise the preference with charge while the other without charge. However, about 90% of those for institute care service show their willingness to pay for the service. Also, a majority of caregivers like to rely on social eldercare service, rather than family as exclusively responsible, against long-term care for their elderly parents. Multinominal analysis demonstrates that use versus nonuse of community care services is primarily affected by predisposing factors(including age, carer-caree closeness, and familism) and need factors (including economic or psychological burden of eldercare, and additional role for family care). Enabling factors, such as family income level, economic support from other family members and siblings, and supportive care-helpers, are mainly associated with the preferences of free versus charge in service use. These findings provide some implications and suggestions for the development of social eldercare services in our aging society.

Development of a Prototype for GIS-based Flood Risk Map Management System (GIS를 이용한 홍수위험지도 관리시스템 프로토타입 개발에 관한 연구)

  • The damages from the natural disasters, especially from the floods, have been increasing. Therefore, it is imperative to establish a BMP to diminish the damages from the floods and to enhance the welfare of the nation. Developed countries have been generating and utilizing flood risk maps to raise the alertness of the residents, and thereby achieving efficient flood management. The major objectives of this research were to develop a prototype management system for flood risk map to forecast the boundaries oi the inundation and to plot them through the integration of geographic and hydrologic database. For more efficient system development, the user requirement analysis was made. The GIS database design was done based on the results from the research work of river information standardization. A GIS database for the study area was built by using topographic information to support the hydrologic modeling. The developed prototype include several modules; river information edition module, map plotting module, and hydrologic modeling support module. Each module enabled the user to edit graphic and attribute data, to analyze and to represent the modeling results visually. Subjects such as utilization of the system and suggestions for future development were discussed.
