대전 충북 충남의 지역혁신협의회에서는 충청권 3개 시도연구원(대전발전연구원, 충남발전연구원, 충북개발연구원)이 참여하는 "충청지역혁신 대장정 2007"의 일환으로 지난 6월 28일 세미나를 개최하였다. 이번 세미나에서는 충청권이 하나 되는 충청발전으로 연계될 수 있도록 구체적이고 실천적인 통로확보를 위하여 충청권 환경협력 방안모색이라는 주제 하에 지역의 환경전문가와 관련 공무원, 그리고 지역대학이 참여하여 열띤 토론이 진행되었다.

This study aims at analyzing the structure of the regional industries in Daejeon, including Choongchung area and the measurement of Regional Innovation Ability Index. The study also investigates the environment of the regional innovation activities in terms of Regional Location Quotient Index. The study mainly focuses on the estimation of four types of innovation ability indexes, i.e., human resource, knowledge creation, knowledge transfer and application, and innovation supporting finance output market. The findings indicate that Daejeon showed the highest index 2.977, and Seoul recorded 2.650 as the second rank. The indexes of Choongnam and Choongbuk were 2.034 and 2.082, respectively, which reached to 76%~78% of that of Seoul. The indexes of the other cities accounted for only 50%~60% of that of Deajeon city. This study concludes that there is a regional difference particularly in the knowledge creation area.

본 연구는 4차산업혁명의 성공 핵심 키워드 중 하나인 '융합'을 통한 디자인의 역량 강화를 위하여 전문인력의 양성현황, 대전/충청지역의 디자인 전문회사 현황 및 대전지역의 전략사업을 분석하였다. 분석을 통해 예측된 수요맞춤형 전문인력의 공급 방안을 제시하며, 디자인 전문인력의 양성과 운용에 대한 세부적 방안 마련에 기여할 수 있기를 기대한다.

충청남도는 한반도의 중부지방 남서부에 위치하고 있으며 면적은 8,597.9$\textrm{km}^2$이다. 북쪽으로 경기도, 동쪽으로 대전광역시ㆍ충청북도, 남쪽으로 전라북도와 접하고, 서쪽은 황해에 면하고 있으며, 태안반도가 있다. 서해안은 해안선이 매우 불규칙하게 발달하여 아산만, 가로림만, 서산만, 천수만 같은 만들이 발달되어 있다. 차령산맥을 중심으로 동고서저형이며, 평균고도가 100m내외로 전국에서 가장 저평한 지역이다. 대전광역시는 면적 539.84$\textrm{km}^2$로 동쪽으로 충청북도 보은군ㆍ옥천군, 북쪽으로 충청북도 청원군, 충청남도 연기군, 남쪽으로 충청남도 금산군, 서쪽으로 충청남도 논산군ㆍ공주시에 접한다.(중략)

This study analyzes relative efficiency analysis for universities or colleges of Chung Cheong regions using data envelopment analysis. The main results of this study can by summarized as follows. First, in case of efficiency for CCR, the number of efficient universities(CCR value is one) are five universities. and mean value of CCR for universities located in Chungbuk region was most high. Second, the number of efficient colleges(CCR value is one) are three colleges. and mean value of CCR for colleges located in Daejeon region was most high. Third, in case of efficiency for BCC, the number of efficient universities(BCC value is one) are nine universities. and mean value of BCC for universities located in Chungbuk region was most high. Fourth, the number of efficient colleges(BCC value is one) are seven colleges. and mean value of BCC for colleges located in Chungbuk region was most high.

This study aims to identify the characteristics of the regional innovation system(RIS) and the determinants of innovation performance of SMEs. Data were collected from a questionnaire survey on 64 SMEs in the Daejeon and Chungcheong regions to uncover the relationship between capabilities, regional innovation capacities and innovation performance. The moderating effects of regional innovation capacities on the relationship between firms' innovation capabilities and performance were also tested. Empirical results revealed that R&D, marketing and entrepreneurial orientation had positive effects. The moderating effect of regional innovation capabilities on the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation (risk taking) and performance was also confirmed.

This study has analyzed the situation and space structure of Chungcheong Region using the variables of land prices. The total amount of land prices of Chungcheon Region was 950 trillion KRW as of December 2013, showing that it has increased by 6.46 times compared to 147 trillion KRW of 1980, which was the time of initial analysis. As a result of analyzing the dynamic changes in the region based on the land prices from 1980 through 2013, there were significant changes in the space structures only in the 1980s. The analysis of centrality based on the land prices of Chungcheong Region has shown that the center of Chungcheong Region was to the northeast of Sejong City in the 1980s and moved to the right with the rise in the land prices of Daejeon Region. The standard deviation of distance showed concentration around Daejeon entering the 1990s from the 1980s, and almost no concentration has been found after that.

The Material·Part·Equipment industry is mostly an industry centered on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and is an important industry for revitalizing the local economy, which is the source of manufacturing competitiveness. In this study, we tried to derive the implications necessary for the development of the Material·Part·Equipment industries by analyzing the competitiveness of the Material·Part·Equipment industries in the Chungcheong region. To this end, we analyzed the industrial development stage and competitiveness of each region (Daejeon, Sejong, Chungnam, and Chungbuk) based on business scale factor, industrial growth rate, industrial specialization, and regional competitiveness for the Material·Part·Equipment industries in the Chungcheong region. Using data such as the number of employees, the number of businesses, and the amount of production in 2014 and 2019, significant industrial groups by region were identified considering the level of industrial specialization and regional competitiveness. In addition, by identifying the positions of these significant industrial groups in the stage of industrial development, suggestions for the development of the Material·Part·Equipment industries in the Chungcheong region were presented.
