Comparison of Factors associated with SmartPhone over-Usage: Focusing on Self-Control, Mental health and Interrelationship (대학생들의 스마트폰사용수준에 따른 자기통제력, 정신건강, 대인관계 비교)

  • This study was conducted, to investigate the level of self-control, mental health and the interrelationship of college students and to analyze the differences between these variables according to the level of smart phone usage. The subjects of our study were collected 246 students. The survey was conducted from April 25th to May 28th in 2012. The result indicated that cellphone overuse group has the lowerer self-control(t=3.53, p=.001) and the more mental health discomfort(t=-3.61, p=.000) than non-smart phone overuse group. In non-smart phone overuse group, the usage of smart phone was negatively correlated with self-control(r=-0.27, p=.005) and communication(r=-0.20, p=.043). And in the other group, the usage of smart phone was positively correlated with mental health discomfort(r=0.22, p=.009). These findings imply that it maybe needed to examine effect factors of the smart phone usage according to the level of smart phone usage.

A Study of Influence on Adolescent Psychological Well-Being - Focusing on Strengths of Family Life and Satisfaction with School Life in the IT-based Society (청소년의 심리적 안녕감에 미치는 영향력에 관한 연구 -IT기반 사회의 가정생활건강성과 학교생활만족도를 중심으로-)

  • This study examined influence of strengths of family life and satisfaction with school life on adolescent psychological well-being, particularly targeting at high school students in the rapidly changing IT-based society. In order to investigate influence of factors related to home and school as the main living spaces on improving adolescent psychological well-being, a survey of 251 students at K academic high school in Busan was conducted and then multiple regression analysis was carried out. Firstly, the analysis showed that adolescents' sharing time at home could make a positive impact on their positive interpersonal relationships. It also showed that family bonds could have a positive impact on adolescents' positive interpersonal relationships, the goal of life, and personal growth, and thus satisfaction in communication at home was a factor that could be helpful to environmental control. Secondly, it indicated that adolescents' satisfaction with school life was a factor that had a positive impact on self-acceptance, environmental control, and the goal of life among the sub-factors of psychological well-being. It turned out that peer relationships could have a positive impact on positive interpersonal relationships, likewise school lessons and peer relationships could have a positive impact on autonomy. According to the results of analysis, factors related to strengths of family life and satisfaction with school life could affect adolescent psychological well-being. Therefore, these findings can be applied to establishing major youth policy.

The Effects of Adlerian Encouragement Program on the Interpersonal Satisfaction, Self-efficacy and Self-esteem among Elementary School Students (아들러 심리학에 기반한 격려 프로그램이 초등학생의 대인관계 만족도, 자기효능감, 자아존중감에 미치는 효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of Adlerian Encouragement Program on the interpersonal satisfaction, self-efficacy and self-esteem among elementary school students. The program was consisted of 8 sessions: 1st session was for introducing programs and making positive nicknames, 2nd~5th sessions were for abandoning inferiority and discouraged thoughts, displaying posters of success experiences, creating merit trees, 6th~7th sessions were for self-encouragement and other people encouragement, 8th session was for closing the program. Subjects were 40 students who were the fifth grader students at I elementary school in G city. The subjects were divided into an experimental group(N=21) and a control group(N=19). All participants were asked to complete the Interpersonal Satisfaction scale(Kim, 2010), Self-efficacy scale(Han, 2003) and Self-esteem scale(Choi & Jeon, 1993). The pretest and post-test were taken in order to verify the effectiveness of the program. The data were analyzed with ANCOVA. The results are as follows: the Adlerian Encouragement Program had a significant impact on interpersonal satisfaction and self-esteem but didn't show a significant impact on self-efficacy. The study confirmed that the Adlerian Encouragement Program had a significant effect on interpersonal satisfaction and self-esteem of elementary school students, suggesting the encouragement, a key technique in Adlerian psychology, is an important educational philosophy and method for healthy development and democratic class management.

The Correlation between Sensory Process Type and Interpersonal Problems, Adult Attachment on University Students (대학생의 감각처리 유형과 대인관계문제 및 성인애착의 관계)

  • Objective : This study was to find out the level of sensory process type, adult attachment and interpersonal problems on university students and then to investigate the correlation. Methods : For this study, 169 students who don't know about the evaluation tool in university students of K area in Korea were participated. To execute evaluation, Adolescents/Adults Sensory Profile (AASP) was used for the sensory process type, Short Form of the Korean Inventory of Interpersonal Problems Circumplex Scale (KIIP-SC) was used for interpersonal problems, and Experiences in Close Relationships Scale-Revised (ECR-R) was used for the adult attachment. The correlation between sensory process type and interpersonal problems, adult attachment was analyzed by using pearson correlation analysis. Results : Sensory process type of university students appeared that sensory seeking was lower than general people, and the rest of items showed similar results with general people. For interpersonal problems, there was a lot of difficulty in self-sacrificing and overly accommodating, whereas there was a little difficulty in vindictive and domineering / controlling. For adult attachment, attachment avoiding was more stable than attachment anxiety. Also, low registration and sensory sensitivity all showed positive correlation with interpersonal problems and adult attachment. Among interpersonal problems, self-sacrificing and intrusive showed positive correlation with sensory seeking whereas cold, socially inhibited, nonassertive, and overly accommodating showed positive correlation with sensory avoiding. Thus, sensory seeking and sensory avoiding showed different results (p<.05). Conclusion : In occupational therapy clinic, not only the disabled but non-disabled people that experience issue of interpersonal problems and attachment could be helped with managing high quality social activity if they execute intervention according to sensory process type.

A Study of Psychological Description of Scientifically Gifted Students through the Sojabo Post Noticed on their Bookshelves (서가대에 게시된 소자보를 통해 본 과학영재들의 심리적 특성)

  • The contents of scribbling made by scientifically gifted students, what is called Sojabo, were analyzed in order to investigate their interests and goals in the future. The scientifically gifted students were those who attended a senior high school of science in Taejeon Metropolitan City. The scribbling shown on a bulletin board in a bookroom were gathered for seven years. The results showed that the gifted students interested in school work and university entrance. And they showed goal-oriented behaviors to achieve self-actualization. They were stressed under competition among friends. They showed difficulties in making good relationship with their teachers. However, they could be characterized as invulnerable students.

Determinants of Earnings Repsponse Coefficients in Korean Stock Market : Cross-Sectional Analysis (우리나라 자본시장에서의 이익반응계수 결정요인에 대한 연구 : 기업의 성장성변수를 중심으로)

  • 본 논문에서는 기업의 성장성변수(기업지분의 시장가치 대 장부가치 비율, MB)가 이익반응 계수에 체계적인 영향은 미치는가를 1991년부터 1994년까지 한국증권시장을 대상으로 재무분석가의 예측치에 의한 사건시점방법을 사용하여 실증적으로 분석하였다. 여러 사건시점을 분석한 결과 기업의 성장성과 이익반응계수가 유의적인 정의 관계가 있다는 것을 발견하였다. 이는 우리나라 증권시장에서 성장성이 높은 기업에서의 이익변화가 성장성이 낮은 기업에 비하여 주식수익률에 더 큰 영향을 미친다는 것을 의미한다, 이에 추가로 Skinner와 Sloan(1998)에서 발견된 고성장기업에서 부의 비기대이익에 대한 큰 폭의 주식수익률 하락이 우리나라 시장에서도 나타나는가를 분석하였다. 이들의 결과와는 달리 우리나라 증권시장에서는 이러한 현상이 발견되지 않았으며, 이는 고성장기업에 대하여서도 이익정보가 주식시장에 적절하게 반영된 다는 것을 나타낸다. 본 논문은 우리나라 증권시장에서 기업이익과 수익률간의 사건시점방법을 통한 연구에 있어서 기업의 성장성변수(기업의 시장가치대 장부가치의 비율)가 통제되어야 하는 변수라는 것을 나타낸다.

Agency Problem, Corporate Diversification and Corporate Value (대리권문제와 기업다각화가 기업가치에 미치는 영향에 관한 실증연구)

  • 본 연구에서는 우리나라 266개 상장기업을 대상으로 기업다각화의 동기를 밝히고, 대리권문제와 기업다각화가 기업가치에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 기업다각화수준의 결정에 있어 대리권문제의 영향을 분석한 실증결과에 의하면, 첫째, 내부 지분율이 낮을수록 다각화가 많이 이루어지고, 내부지분율이 높을수록 다각화수준이 낮아지는 것으로 나타나, 우리나라 기업의 다각화 동기를 대리권문제 관점에서 찾을 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 외부대주주지분율과 다각화수준간에는 유의적인 관계를 발견하지 못하여, 외부대주주들이 경영자를 감시 통제함으로써 대리권문제를 축소시키고, 기업의 다각화를 억제할 것이라는 가설은 기각되는 것으로 나타났다. 다각화가 기업가치에 미치는 영향에 대한 분석결과에서는, 첫째, 다각화가 기업가치의 감소를 유발시켜 다각화수준이 높을수록 기업가치가 낮을 것이라는 가설은 기각되는 것으로 나타났다. 오히려 우리나라 기업에 없어 다각화는 기업가치에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 둘째, 관련다각화 기업과 비관련다각화 기업의 가치를 비교해본 결과 비관련다각화 기업의 가치가 관련다각화 기업의 가치보다 높은 것으로 나타났다.

Exploring the Experiences of People with Disabilities in Korea before and after Using Personal Assistance Services (장애인의 활동보조서비스 이용 이후 삶의 변화에 대한 연구: 신체적, 심리적, 사회관계적 측면을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the experiences of people with disabilities using Personal Assistance Services (PAS) in Korea. A qualitative study based on face-to-face interviews with people with mobility disabilities was conducted. Nine consumers with disabilities participated in the study. Study participants pointed out five changes in their life after using PAS: 1) increase in daily life activities, 2) increased perceived control, 3)increased psychological self-reliance, 4) growth of relationships with others in terms of both degree and frequency, and 5) more equalized relationships with family, Finally, article makes recommendations regarding the future provision of PAS.

The mediating effect between the degree to provide emotional labor and personal relationship in the intent to stay for Care worker (돌봄 여성노동자의 감정노동수행정도와 직무지속의사와의 관계에 있어 대인관계의 매개효과)

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the relationship among the degree to provide emotional labor, personal relationship and the intent to stay of female care service workers. Specifically, this study focuses on the mediating effect of the personal relationship (client and agency relation). The path analysis and structural equation modeling analysis were performed on the collected data using SPSS18.0. and AMOS 8.0. And Sobel test conducted for examine the mediating effect. The results are the followings. First, the result of the analysis showed that agency relationship was an indirect factor as the partial mediating effect on relationship between the degree to provide emotional labor and the intent to stay for the care women workers. The result suggests that education utilizing various techniques and strategies to overcome the difficulty accompanied by emotional labor such as communication education and the government try to effort managing and controlling the agency which impact on the labor condition of care workers. Second, the government also tries to provide the trust and collaboration network system which construct a good relationship between the care worker and the agency.

Adolescent delinquent behavior and the influence of friends: With specific focus on self-efficacy, parent-child conflict and parental control (친구가 청소년의 일탈행동에 미치는 영향: 자기효능감, 부모자녀 갈등 및 부모의 통제를 중심으로)

  • This study examines adolescent delinquent behavior and the influence of friends, focusing specifically on friends' delinquent behavior and the influence of self-efficacy, parent-child conflict and parental control. A total of 1,399 adolescents attending five different high schools (male=642, female=756, consisting of 915 student attending high school and 484 students attending vocational high school) completed a questionnaire developed by Ahn, Hwang, Kim and Park (1997) and Bandura's (1995a) self-efficacy scale. Results indicate that those students who attend high school had parents with higher education, socio-economic status and better studying environment at home, while students attending vocational high school had higher parent-child conflict. Students attending high school had higher self-efficacy scores, while students attending vocational high school had higher scores on delinquent behavior. The results of LISREL analyses revealed a similar pattern for high school and vocational high school students. Combined analysis indicate that friends' delinquent behavior, parent-child conflict and parental control had direct and positive effect on students' delinquency behavior. Self-efficacy had a direct and negative influence of delinquency behavior. Similar pattern was obtained for friends' delinquency behavior, in which self-efficacy had a direct and negative influence of their delinquency behavior and their parent-child conflict and parental control had direct and positive effect on their delinquency behavior. In summary, those students who had lower self-efficacy, higher parent-child conflict and parental control, and with friends who are more likely to engage in delinquent behavior, had higher scores on delinquent behavior. Also, those students who had friends with lower self-efficacy scores and with higher parent-child conflict and parental control are more likely to engage in delinquent behavior, which in turn influenced their delinquent behavior. Friends' delinquent behavior had the greatest influence on students' delinquent behavior indicating the role of friends in influencing delinquency among adolescents.
