QoS Implementation by using PID Control of TCP Buffer in Data Grid (데이타 그리드상에서 TCP 버퍼의 PID 제어를 통한 QoS 구현)

  • It is aware that Bandwidth management with dramatically increasing traffic on account of frequent and large file transmission in a data grid environment is one of essential needs. A this paper we propose new method which guarantees QoS (Quality of Service) by being in control of resources in TCP layer based on existing studies that manage bandwidth over TCP buffer tuning. General QoS solutions manage network resources subsequent to observing them in IP or link layer, but the scheme in the paper is able to control network resources in TCP layer that is network upper layer. Consequently, bandwidth allocation to each user can be efficiently controlled depending on an authority each user is given so that users could be use different bandwidth. It is expected that a new paradigm is supposed in network resource management and the method of levies for users' bandwidth uses.

TFRC Flow Control Mechanism based on RTP/RTCP for Real-time Traffic Transmission (실시간 트래픽 전송을 위한 RTP/RTCP의 TFRC 흐름제어 기법)

  • In this paper, to resolve the problem caused by a network state information inaccuracy the slow delay time that conclusion of network state of one way delay time which accuracy delay time information, according to network state changes on the based TFRC flow control, and suggest that flow control mechanism to adjust transfer rate fit of real time multimedia data. In simulation, to measure of netowork state information that on the average about 12% difference of compared RTT and $OWD{\times}2$. When used RTT, used fair bandwidth TFRC much better than TCP about 32%, when used OWD, difference about 3% used fair bandwidth. Thus, conclusion of accuracy network state that used fair bandwidth according to network state changes on the based TFRC, users can support service of high quality that flow control mechanism to adjust transfer rate fit of real time data.

  • In ATM network there exist several traffics according to QoS, such as CBR, rt-VBR, nrt-VBR, UBR, and ABR. Many studies have done at the traffic management of ABR which uses the unused network bandwidth. Many flow control mechanisms have proposed to use efficiently the unused bandwidth. In TMWG(Traffic Management Working Group) of ATM Forum, there exist rate-based, credit-based, and mixture of them to manage flow control of ABR traffic. Among these, rate-based mechanisms adopted as standard because it is flexible and also makes it possible to implement ATM switch with low price and high capacity. In this paper, we study the switch that uses EFCI, ER and VS/VD(Virtual Source/Virtual Destination) with rate-based mechanism. Instead of using queue threshold, we propose a new algorithm which uses bandwidth threshold of input stage of switch, and manages efficiently ABR traffic with EPRCA algorithm.

  • 수학을 기반으로 경제학에서 널리 사용되던 게임이론이 최근 네트워크 디자인 분야에서 중요한 수단으로 활용되고 있다. 통신 네트워크에서 게임이론의 응용 분야로는 혼잡 제어, 네트워크 라우팅, 네트워크 부하균형, 통신보안, 대역폭 가격선정, 무선 협력통신, 트래픽 컨트롤, 전력제어, 자원 할당과 서비스 품질 보장 등 다양한 분야가 존재한다. 본 고에서는 최근 주목받고 있는 게임이론의 기본개념과 발전해온 역사, 그리고 대표적인 게임모델들에 대하여 간단히 소개하고자 한다.

  • Generally, the performance of the computer network may differ according to various parameters like routing, bandwidth and timers. Since the network system requirements may widely very according to specific application, computer network must be tailored at tailored at the design starge by selection of appropriate protocols and assignment of degfault parameter. However, since the condition under which a network actually operates may change from that considered at the design stage, control and managment action are required to adjust the network parameter so that the perforance of network is satisfied.

  • We propose a soft QoS-based borrowing scheme for call admission control(CAC) in DVB-RCS(Digital Video Broadcast-Return Channel via Satellite). Some of the ongoing calls temporarily and fairly release bandwidths that can be used to accommodate a new call in an overloaded satellite network. The amount of bandwidth borrowed from each call is proportional to each user's critical bandwidth ratio, one of parameters for soft QoS mechanism. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme improves the system performance in terms of call blocking probability and bandwidth utilization.

  • In this paper, we propose a congestion control scheme to control the congestion due to the mobility of ubiquitous devices on ubiquitous computing environment. Especially, this congestion control scheme provides a reverse congestion avoidance state which can classify between packet error by features of wireless network and packet dropping by congestion. Also, it provides a slow stop state which can minimize bandwidth waste due to congestion control. The proposed congestion control scheme controls more adaptive than existing congestion control schemes. The proposed congestion control scheme is designed based on DCCP(Datagram Congestion Control Protocol) being proposed by IETF(Internet Engineering Task Force) and implemented on the Linux kernel. In simulation results, the proposed congestion control scheme provides good bandwidth throughput in wireless network as well as in wired network.

  • In this paper, a frequency controlled bandwidth adjustable bandpass filter consisting of 4-path system is precented. It is shown that this system has characteristics similar to ihose of the magneticuly coupled double tuned amplifier and the center frequency of the passband is able to be shifted contineolisly. The adjustable range of the bartdwidth of the filter system is anslyzed for she case of the double and single tuned characteristics. The experiment has been conducted to verify the theory of this system and the experimental resulis are in good agreement with the theoretically calculated values.

  • In this paper, we develop radio resource management queueing model in IEEE 802.IS networks considering both connection and packet level. In the upper level connection, we model connection admission control depending on availability of bandwidth and priority queue in each service class. In the lower level packet, we model dynamic bandwidth allocation considering threshold and availability of bandwidth in each service class simultaneously. Hierarchical model is built using an extended Petri Nets, SRN (Stochastic Reward Nets). Bandwidth utilization and normal throughput as performance index for all service classes of traffic are calculated and numerical results are obtained.

  • 본 고에서는 분산제어 및 자동화 시스템에서 필드버스 기술의 필요성과 현황 및 앞으로의 전망에 대하여 기술하였다. 또한, 필드버스에 접속되는 장비들에서 생성되는 데이터들은 크게 주기적, 실시간 및 비실시간 데이터 트래픽의 세가지로 나눌 수 있으며, 필드버스 네트워크의 제한된 대역폭이 이러한 데이터 트래픽을 수용하는 경우에 실시간 및 주기적 데이터의 전송지연시간에 대한 요구사항을 만족시키는 동시에 네트워크 설계기법을 소개하였다.
