All the visiting customers makes a queue and then can be served at an unoccupied server, in the queueing system of multi-server. The customer and server, however, have a conflictive feeling of satisfaction at all times. To solve the problem, in this paper, it is proposed that new design method of server number to maximize the satisfaction level of customer and server by the hzzy concept which is applied to the queuing system.

본 연구는 초고속통신망하에서 GIS를 이용하여 상시 자동대기측정망으로부터의 대기정보에 대한 데이터베이스를 구축하고 1시간 간격으로 일반사용자가 특정지역의 대기상태 및 예경보 현황을 인터넷 서비스 받을 수 있는 시스템 개발을 연구 목적으로 한다. 본 연구의 결과를 이용하면 일반사용자도 대기상황에 대한 정보를 쉽게 이해할 수 있고, 구축된 GIS 데이터베이스를 이용하여 지역별로 측정 및 예측된 오염상태를 활용한 총 대기오염의 현황을 산출할 수 있다. 또한 대기측정기 이상에 의한 자료입력 불능에 대비한 날씨, 시간, 요일 별 대기상황 예측이 가능할 것이며, 대기오염측정기의 최적설치장소 선정 및 관리에도 활용할 수 있을 기대된다. 그리고 지속적이고 신뢰성 있는 데이터베이스 구축을 통해 중장기 대기오염측정 및 저감대책을 수립하는데 기여할 수 있을 것이다.

Participants of a NVE(networked virtual environment) may have different hardwares and network environments, and to guarantee the fairness, messages of participants should be synchronized. A solution for the synchronization problem is to wait for a certain amount of time until the server processes the message. It is not easy to determine a suitable waiting period because of the trade-off between the fairness and the responsiveness. In this paper we propose a method to decide a waiting period by considering only the participants with small network delays and perform experiments for the performance evaluation. Experiments show that the proposed method leads to significant improvement of responsiveness, while retaining fairness.

One of the most important functionality that commercial video storage servers should provide is to maximize the number of concurrent streams and to minimize the initial latency of new requests. In this paper, we propose a data placement scheme whose disk read unit size can be twice large than that of conventional striping methods. The proposed scheme can significantly increase the number of concurrent streams, since the ratio of rotational latency time is decreased and the disks are effectively utilized. The disk scheduling scheme we propose guarantees constant initial latency time. We also propose a procedural design method for a storage server by introducing the concept of allowed initial latency. The comparison with previous research shows that the proposed scheme provides better performance.

In general, crowded places, such as banks, government offices and hospitals, require the customer to wait for a certain period of time. Thus according to the order of the wait, customers takes waiting numbers. In this way, so customers should always check the order of waiting processes that they can not carry on another affairs. In this paper, we develop an application, that is SmartQ, managing queue using a mobile handset. SmartQ is an easy-to-use application allowing customers an alternative to the classic queue management systems. With this application, they are aware of the waiting conditions in real time for each of their services. They can indicate the time they wish to come and take a virtual ticket in the queue. It provides service notification, the number of waiting person, and expected waiting time.

This research suggests a new tram signal priority model which determines signal timings and tram intersection waiting time using analytical method. This model can calculate the signal timings for Early Green and Green Extension among the active tram signal priority techniques by tram detection time of upstream detector. Moreover, it can determine the tram intersection waiting time that means tram intersection travel time delay from a vantage point of tram travel. Under the active tram signal priority condition, priority phases can bring additional green time from variable green time of non-priority phases. In this study, the signal timing and tram intersection waiting time calculation model was set up using analytical methods. In case studies using an isolated intersection, this study checks tram intersection waiting time ranged 12.7 to 29.4 seconds when variable green times of non-priority phases are 44 to 10 seconds under 120 seconds of cycle length.

The waiting delays of internet VOD users are inevitable in this policy since the services are not taken immediately upon requests but upon every scheduling points. An inefficient management of such delays makes an unfair service to users and increases the possibility of higher reneging rates. This paper proposes an efficient service scheduling scheme which improves the average waiting time of users requests and reduces the starvation problem of users requesting less popular movies. Experimental results of simulations show that the proposed scheme improves about 20 percentage of average waiting time and reduces significantly the starving requesters comparing with those of conventional methods such as FCFS and MQL.

본 실험은 1.5Kg 무게의 고기를 3가지 다른 내부온도(60$^{\circ}C$-rare, 70$^{\circ}C$-medium, 80$^{\circ}C$-well done)에 이르도록 3가지 다른 출력의 전자파(40%, 60%, 100%)로 조리시에 나타나는 고기의 조리조건(조리시간, 대기시간 및 대기시 상승온도)과 고거의 물리 화학적인 변화(수분, 단백질, 지방, vit $B_1$의 함량, 콜라겐의 용해도, 보수력, texture)를 관찰하였다. 각 처리구 간에 Kg당 조리시간은 유의적인 차이를 나타내었으나 대기시간은 유의적인 차이를 나타내지 않았다. 그러나 고기의 내부용도가 낮은 처리구일수록 긴 대기 시간이 요구되었다. 대기시 상승온도도 각 처리구 간에 유의적인 차이를 나타내지 않았으나 거의 모든 처리구에서 10도 이상의 상승온도가 관찰되었다. 고기의 내부온도가 상승할수록 조리시 중량손실도 증가되었고, 수분함량, 수분: 단백질의 비, 보수력, 비타민 $B_1$의 함량도 감소되었다. Texture를 측정한 항목들에서는 각 처리구간의 유의척인 차이를 나타내지 않았다. 콜라겐의 용해도는 각 처리구간에 유의적인 차이를 나타내지 않았으나 내부온도 60$^{\circ}C$와 70$^{\circ}C$ 처리구 사이의 용해도는 뚜렷한 증가가 관찰되었다.

In this paper several access schemes for voice and data packet over CPCH with waiting time signalling are proposed. Waiting time signalling is used for reducing the excessive attempt of UE when all the CPCH channel resources is being used by other UEs. The proposed schemes in this paper are better than other schemes in view of the voice/data packets? dropping probability, average access attempt to transmit voice/data packets successfully and the average throughput.

문제: 환자가 수술장 내에서 수술을 기다리면서 느끼는 불안감을 최소화할 수 있도록 해야 하지만 수술실의 효율성 및 의료진 편의성 위주로 운영되고 있어 수술실 내 대기시간이 연장되고 있다. 목적: 수술장 내 대기시간을 단축시키기 위해 수술환자의 이동경로에 따른 지연요인과 문제점을 파악하고 개선하여 환자가 수술을 기다리면서 느끼는 불안감을 최소화하고자 한다. 의료기관: 부산시에 소재한 481병상의 종합병원 수술실 질 향상 활동: 수술환자의 대기시간 지연요인과 문제점을 파악하고 개선을 통해 질 향상을 도모하였다. 개선효과: 대기시간 수행율에서 수술장 도착까지의 수행율이 개선전 95%에서 개선후98%로, 수술방 입실까지의 수행율이 개선전 88%에서 개선후 94%로, 마취시작까지의 수행율이 개선전 93%에서 개선후 96%로 수행율이 높아졌다.
