Determination of Blow Efficiency of the Forging Hammer (단조해머의 타격효율 결정)

  • Copper blow test to measure the forging capability of 35 ton counterblow hammer and upset of plasticine on the model hammer to investigate the change of the blow efficiency during the forging process have been performed together with finite element analyses of these experiments. The blow efficiency of the hammer has been found to be dependent on the friction and on the contact area between the die and the workpiece. The effects of the volume and the aspect ratio of the billet have not been found. Inferring from the experimental results and Schey's empirical formula on the forging load, we expect that the efficiency also varies with the flow stress of the workpiece material and with the shape complexity of the forging product.

  • Aluminum alloys are gaining increased acceptance in the automotive and electronic industeries and cold & hot forging is the most efficient method of manufacturing such mass produced parts. This study has been investigated the microstructures and mechanical properties of A6061(Al-1.2Mg-0.8Si) alloy fabricated by cold & hot forging process for development of the future compressor block. The microstructure of cold & hot forginged specimen were composed of eutectic structure aluminum solid solution and $Mg_2Si$ precipitates. The tensile strength of as-solid solution treatment A6061 alloy revealed 291.7MPa. It was fabricated that a trial future compressor cylinder block using cold & hot forging.

  • The vibration characteristics of a hammer press are important parameters for machine design and production control. In this study, a counterblow hammer press was mathematically modelled as a mass-spring-damper system in order to analyze its vibration characteristics. The forging efficiency was theoretically derived as a function of the mass ratio, momentum ratio, and the coefficient of restitution And the effects of the mass ratio, momentum ratio and the restitution coefficient on the forging efficiency were also investigated for two particular cases of the unit mass ratio and unit momentum ratio. Additionally, the vibration responses of the counterblow hammer press due to the ram colliding impact were analyzed, and the force transmitted to the foundation through the mounting unit was determined.

  • Finite failure NHPP models presented in the literature exhibit either constant, monotonic increasing or monotonic decreasing failure occurrence rates per fault. In this paper, Goel-Okumoto and Yamada-Ohba-Osaki model was reviewed, proposes the Kappa(2) reliability model, which can capture the nomotonic decreasing nature of the failure occurrence rate per fault. Algorithm to estimate the parameters used to maximum likelihood estimator and bisection method, model selection based on sum of the squared errors and Kolmogorov distance, for the sake of efficient model, was employed. Analysis of failure using real data set, SYS2(Allen P.Nikora and Michael R.Lyu), for the sake of proposing two parameter of the Kappa distribution, was employed. This analysis of failure data compared with the Kappa model and the existing model using arithmetic and Laplace trend tests, bias tests is presented.

Algorithm to estimate the parameters used to maximum likelihood estimator and bisection method. model selection based on SSE statistics for the sake of efficient model, was employed.

  • This paper intends to provide applied economists which study the effects of research and development with valuable information on econometric model selection. It includes extensive discussion on econometric models which have been applied for the study on the relationship between research and development and productivity. In particular, it compares various stochastic production frontier models which have been developed recently. The discussion decomposes them into models with scaling property and the ones with nonscaling property as well as models with monotonic and nonmonotonic relationships between research and development and productivity. Finally, this paper applies the models to two different panel data sets (firm level data and country level data) and compare estimation results from competing econometric models.

  • 플런저(Plunger)의 부품 용도는 점화 플러그와 조립 되는 부품으로 연료 분사장치에 적용하여 연료 효율이 약 15~20% 개선됨이 일본에서 검증되어 일본은 상용화 되었다. 국내에서는 개발단계로 처음에 냉간단조로 개발하였다가 원가 및 생산성 문제로 프로그레시브금형(Progressive Die)로 개발 하려는 단계이다. 디젤기관에 사용되며 기관의 출력을 조절하기 위해 플런저를 이용하여 연료의 토출량을 조절할 때 사용이 된다. 이에 본 논문에서는 디젤 차량에 장착되는 플런저를 냉간단조방식이 아닌 원가 및 생산성을 확보할 수 있는 프로그레시브 금형에 적용하여 양산할 수 있는 스트립 레이아웃을 개발하고자 하였다.

  • 플런저(Plunger)의 부품 용도는 점화 플러그와 조립 되는 부품으로 연료 분사장치에 적용하여 연료 효율이 약 15~20% 개선됨이 일본에서 검증되어 일본은 상용화 되었다. 국내에서는 개발단계로 처음에 냉간단조로 개발하였다가 원가 및 생산성 문제로 프로그레시브금형(Progressive Die)로 개발 하려는 단계이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 디젤 차량에 장착되는 플런저를 냉간단조방식이 아닌 원가 및 생산성을 확보할 수 있는 프로그레시브 금형에 적용하여 양산할 수 있는 스트립 레이아웃을 개발한 결과를 바탕으로 금형설계 및 제작을 하고, 프레스에 장착하여 트라이얼 하였고 이를 통하여 기존 설비 대비 1/20의 금액투자로 플런저 생산원가를 확보할 수 있었다.

A Study on Software Reliability using kappa(2) Distribution (kappa(2)분포를 이용한 소프트웨어 성장모형에 관한 연구)

  • 본 논문에서는 순서 통계량을 이용한 유한 고장 NHPP 모형들이 제안되었다. 이 모형들은 결함당 고장발생률이 단조 증가하거나 단조 감소하는 패턴을 가진다. 그리고 수명 분포에서는 기존의 모형들과 비교하고 kappa(2) 분포를 이용한 소프트웨어 신뢰성 모형을 제안하여 이 모형의 특성과 효율성에 대하여 제시하였다. 고장 간격 시간 자료를 이용한 무한고장 NHPP 모형들에 대한 모수 추정은 최우 추정법을 사용하였고 적용 분포들의 적용을 용이하게 하기 위하여 특수한 형태를 제시하였다. 실제고장 자료를 이용한 자료분석에서는 편차자승합을 이용한 모형 선택과 적합도 및 치우침 검정을 실시하여 그 결과를 나열 하였다.
