An Improved Multi-stage Timing Offset Estimation Scheme for OFDM Systems in Multipath Fading Channel (다중경로 페이딩 환경에서 OFDM 시스템을 위한 개선된 다중단계 타이밍 옵셋 추정기법)

  • This paper proposes an improved multi-stage timing offset estimation scheme for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems in multipath fading channel environment. The conventional multi-stage timing offset estimation scheme is very sensitive to the random multipath components. By exploiting the sample standard deviation of the cross-correlation values, the proposed scheme achieves a robustness to the random multipath components. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed scheme has a higher correct estimation probability and has a better mean square error (MSE) performance than the conventional scheme in multipath fading channels.

  • 본 논문에서는 디지털 통신 시스템의 블라인드 등화에 있어서, 다중레벨 modulus를 기준 신호로 사용하여 등화기의 탭 계수 갱신 식에 사용되는 오차 신호를 형성함으로써 등화기의 블라인드 수렴 특성을 개선한 다중레벨 modulus 알고리즘들의 성능을 분석하였다. 다중경로 채널 하에서 QAM 신호점에 대해 컴퓨터 모의실험을 통하여 단일/다중레벨 modulus 알고리즘(SMMA)과 기존의 modified constant modulus algorithm(MCMA) 및 최근에 제안된 다중레벨 modulus 알고리즘(MMA) 등의 블라인드 수렴 및 정상 상태 성능을 비교하였다.

  • For designing radio communication systems, radio-channel effects must be considered in order to obtain the desired communication quality, transmitting power, transmission speed and bit error rate. In radio channel, one of major factors that degrade communication quality is multipath fading between transmitting and receiving points. Therefore, a channel model which can describe fading effects correctly is requested. This paper deals with the composition of the channel simulator model that describes multipath fading effects and delay times which occur in the channel. For the performance analysis of the proposed model, trandmitting signal is used in the simulation. From simulation results, it can be shown that probability density function. level crossing rates and average fading-duration time distribution of the faded receive signal are very similar with theoretic values.

  • The Wireless Mesh Network uses a wireless communication technology with transmission rates similar to that of a cable, which is used as a backbone network. The topology structure is in a Mesh form which resembles an Ad-hoc network, however a metric is needed in order to set the channel and channel methods since the operation intentions and interior motions are different. This thesis proposes a metric(ETR : Expected Transmission Rate) that sets the channel with physical link performance and multi hop transmission capabilities. This metric will also be based on multi channel creation methods and Hop-by-hop routing techniques for an effective multi hop transmission with no loops.

  • A sueueing model is developed and analyzed to evaluate the performance of a local and a remote destination of one multicast connection subject to a simple two-level(binary) feedback-based adaptive rate control scheme. The reate control scheme is a simple extension of the one for point-to-point case. Individual cell loss probabilities at the local and remote destinations are obtained to study the fairness of the adaptive rate control scheme. Numerical results show that this simple adaptive rate control scheme, which is fair when it is applied to a multicast connection consisting of destinations with equal propagation delays, bears bias against remote destination.

  • This paper analyzes DLL(Delay lock loop) under the multipath fading effects. The evaluated performance measures include the steady-state timing error probability density function (PDF) and the mean-time-to-lose-lock (MTLL) under multipath fading effects. The discriminator characteristic S(${\epsilon}$) is shown to be zero at the point of timing error ${\epsilon}_{0}$ that is not zero, and the MTLL decreases as the delayed signal power $g_{2}$ and delayed time ${\tau}_{d}$ increase. We approximate the steady-state timing error PDF linearly with these variables and evaluate the steady-state timing error PDF and MTLL. The severe multipath fading effects result lower MTLL, in this case we make MTLL larger by increasing the early-late discriminator offset ${\Delta}$. First, we calculate the timing error point ${\epsilon}_{0}$, and present the performance of DLL under multipath fading. The timing error PDF, MTLL and the performance of DLL with ${\Delta}$ are also investigated. And we conclude that the larger ${\Delta}$ makes a higher MTLL and a better performance of DLL under multipath fading effects.

  • In an autonomous multi-mobile robot environment, optimal path planning without collision which connects the beginning and ending point is essential and primary important. Many mobile robots should move autonomously without prior or given information about obstacles which are stationary or dynamic. Collision free optimal path planning for multi mobile robots is proposed in this paper. The proposed approach is based on a potential field method and fuzzy logic system. First, a global path planner using potential field method selects the shortest path from each robot to its own target. Then, a local path planner modifies the path and orientation from the global planner to avoid collisions with static and dynamic obstacles using a fuzzy logic system. To verify performance of this method, several simulation-based experimental are done and their results are discussed. These results show that the path planning and collision avoidance strategies are effective and useful for multi-mobile robot systems.

  • 무선 센서 네트워크에서 센서 노드의 취약점으로 인해 공격자는 쉽게 훼손된 노드를 만들어 센서 네트워크를 공격한다. DoS 공격에 해당하는 플로딩 공격은 노드의 에너지 손실과 경로 상의 노드의 에너지를 전부 소비시켜 네트워크 수명이 단축된다. 본 논문에서 제안 기법은 노드의 에너지가 적은 지역에서 다중경로 라우팅을 적용해 각 노드의 부하를 줄이고 네트워크 수명을 증가시키는 보안기법을 제안한다.

Measurement of Multi Conflict Avoidance for Free flight Efficiency (자유비행 다중 충돌회피 효율성 측정 연구)

  • In this paper, study the substantial issues which occurs upon free flight environment by performing separation assurance under multiple conflict(over 3 Aircraft), recovery en route under the terms of time constrains and fixed way point after the conflict avoidance, correlations between conflict detection distance and separation assurance by utilizing Autonomous flight algorithm. Result of this experiment demonstrates that the extension of detection distance is advantageous to solution of separation assurance and enhancing of flight efficiency, choose to maneuver by applying time constrain terms and fixed way point according to the situation of conflict prediction in case of recovery maneuver after the conflict avoidance. And separation assurance can be solved by applying 2 degrees or more of bank angle. When choosing the optimal bank angle could be drastically improved flight efficiency.

  • 본 논문에서는 다중 사용자 간의 상호 작용과 공동 작업을 가능하게 하는 3차원 그래픽 기반의 가상 현실 시스템인 YVES(Yonsei Virtual Environment System) 의 성능향상을 위한 아바타 객체의 효과적인 동기화 방법에 대하여 제안하였다. YVES 는 연세대학교 컴퓨터과학과 멀티미디어 연구실에서 2001년도에 개발된 시스템이다. YVES의 사용자간 동기화 알고리즘은 기존의 방법에 비해 객체의 Poping현상을 없애고 동기화를 유지한 점에서 개선되었다고 할 수 있었다. 그러나 원래의 경로와는 변화된 다른 경로가 설정된다는 것과 이동이 완료되었을 때 수정된 경로로 향한 객체 진행 방향을 완료시점에서 원래의 진행방향으로 수정해야 항으로써 자연스럽지 못한 움직임을 보인다는 것이 문제점으로 지적되었다. 이를 보완하기 위해서 본 논문에서는 기존의 움직임 벡터를 새로 움직여야 할 움직임 벡터에 반영하여 새로운 경로가 원래의 경로와 보다 근접할 수 있도록 하고, 이동의 완료시점에서 객체가 향하는 방향이 원래 경로로 이동했을 경우와 동일하도록 하는 알고리즘을 제안하고, 각 알고리즘을 동일한 이동경로를 적용하여 비교하였다.
