Reconstitution of Digital Multiplanar Images based on Cinerama System (시네라마 시스템 기반의 디지털 다면영상의 재구성)

  • The development of digital image technology has realized high definition throughout the image industry including film and broadcasting. Such high definition images are used in various media and forms through convergence with innovative displays. The analog image production mode is combined with image content production using digital technology. The purpose of this research is to present a method to reconstitute high definition multiplanar images on the wider and bigger screen by applying the Cinerama system, one of the analog image systems in the past, to digital technology.

  • Multiplanar image video has been used in various fields advertising, exhibitions, and PR. But the content is applied therein, image synthesis, and graphics in most cases. That for taking pictures become a stock video exactly not only very difficult, to complement work in the second half of the problems of the shooting stage is difficult. Therefore, in this study, and then grasp the problems later work with imaging and attempts to validate the experiment improvements. As the study specific method, it is intended to advance the experiments for determining the distance to minimize the distortion generated at the edges of the image varies with the distance between cameras. It is intended to contribute to the creation of the content of the image-based, which can be utilized more effectively excellence media of the video if to build on this.

  • Filming using multiple cameras is required for the production of the multi-screen content. It can fill the viewer's field of view (FOV) entirely to provide an increased sense of immersion. In such a filming scenario, it is very important to monitor how images captured by multiple cameras are displayed as a single content or how the content will be displayed in an actual theatre. Most recent studies on creating the content of special format have been focused on their own purposes, such as stereoscopic and panoramic images. There is no research on content creation optimized for theatres that use three screens that are spreading recently. In this paper, we propose a novel content production system with a rig that can control three cameras and monitoring software specialized for multi-screen content. The proposed rig can precisely control the angles between the cameras and capture wide angle of view with three cameras. It works with monitoring software via remote communication. The monitoring software automatically aligned the content in real time, and the alignment of the content is updated according to the angle of camera rig. Futher, the producion efficiency is greatly improved by making the alignment information available for post-production.

  • 회사에서 사원 평가 항목에서 다면 평가가 활용되는 경우는 많지만 대부분의 중소기업들은 자체적인 인사관리 시스템이 부재로 인해서 많은 시간과 노력을 필요로 하면서 효율적이지 못하면서 공정하지 못한 평가로 이루어지지 못한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구는 회사에서 원하는 다면 평가 시스템 구축에 관해서 자동화로 이루어 질 수 있게 한다.

Implementation of Panoramic Realistic Images with the Use of Ultra High Definition(UHD) TV (초고선명(UHD)TV를 이용한 파노라마 실감영상구현)

  • Digital broadcast environment led to the emergence of UHDTV following HDTV. The demands for realistic images which are created with the use of UHDTV have been applied to various fields. Of various application methods, multiplanar imaging, which is used to display high definition image contents after multiple HD or UHD displays are connected with each other up and down, and left and right, is often applied to display images and the advertising market. Today, the firms that make high-definition multiplanar images mostly use their independently developed program. Therefore, it costs higher than other general works. For the reason, multiplanar image contents are mostly made in the way of enlarging HD images over 2 to 5 times. In this experiment, the software application widely known for UHDTV based multiplanar images is applied to test a method of implementing UHD panoramic realistic images without quality degradation.

A Study on Registration Correction and Layout for Multi-view Videos Implementation (실감영상 구현을 위한 다면영상 정합보정 및 화면구성에 대한 연구)

  • Realistic videos using multi-view videos are created so that the contents shown on multi-view displays or screens look realistic. These images have been mostly used for special videos for exhibition, but, recently, systems such as Screen X have given rise to multi-view images as a format for storytelling contents such as movies. This study used HD-level broadcasting digital video camera with three zoom lenses for shooting wide to close-up shots focusing on a person, in the same way as Screen X, and identified and analyzed problems found during multi-view image registration correction. The results of this study suggested, provided the shooting technique and equipment are improved, the multi-view format can be used for conveying stories and information. Future research will need to investigate and supplement relevant techniques that will enable production of high-quality multi-view image contents by using a cinema-grade camera with standard lenses, instead of using broadcasting-grade zoom lenses.

  • 본 연구는 매해 가트너에서 발표하는 'Emerging Technology'들 중 최근 5년간의 하이프 기술들의 포지셔닝을 기준으로 주요 국가의 연구 문헌과 특허 정보를 이용하여 국가별 기술 경쟁력 평가 지표에 대한 다면적 분석 방법을 제안한다. 급변하는 IT 기술 환경에서 미래 산업을 선도하기 위해서는 국가 R&D 기획에 있어 더욱 면밀하고 창의적인 방안들의 연구가 필요하며, 특히 다양한 산업 분야 중 급속한 변화를 보여주는 ICT 분야에 있어서는 이를 뒷받침할 고도의 R&D 투자방향을 예측할 수 있어야 한다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 많은 방법들 중 세계 기술 성숙도를 다루는 가트너 하이프 사이클과 연구 개발 투자가 집중되는 특허 정보 다면적 요소들을 통합 분석한 후, 국가별 기술 경쟁력의 평가 지표를 선정하였고, 이를 판단할 수 있는 기준으로 시장성, 잠재성, 확장성, 감소성을 제시하였다. 그 결과 가트너 하이프 사이클 기술들의 포지셔닝의 움직임과 다면적 분석 결과 변화가 유사하게 나타났다. 이에 따라 본 연구를 통해 ICT 기술 변화와 경쟁력 등을 직관적으로 파악할 수 있었고, 국가 R&D 투자방향을 설정하는데 도움을 줄 수 있을 것으로 예상된다

  • Digital Signage and multi-view image system are used as the 4th media to deliver stories and information due to their strong immersion. A content image displayed on large Digital Signage is produced with the use of computer graphics, rather than reality image. That is because the images shot for content making have an extremely limited range of production and their limitation to high resolution, and thereby have difficulty being displayed in a large and wide Digital Signage screen. In case of Screen X and Escape that employ the left and right walls of in the center a movie theater as a screen, images are shot with three cameras for Digital Cinema, and are screened in a cinema with multi-view image system after stitching work is applied. Such realistic images help viewers experience real-life content. This research will be able to display high-resolution images on Digital Signage without quality degradation by using the multi-view image making technique of Screen X and Chroma key technique are showed the high-resolution Digital Signage content making method.

  • 자체별 또는 연도별과 같은 공통 요소를 통한 교차 분석이 가능하도록 통합 DB를 설계함으로써 다면적인 연구 분석을 위한 프레임워크를 구축하는 데 중점을 두어야 한다. 본 연구는 지자체 통합 데이터베이스에 구축되고 있는 지자체 통합 데이터의 활용성 검증을 위하여, 데이터마이닝 기법을 적용하여 지자체 통합 데이터를 분석하고자 한다. 데이터마이닝 기법을 적용하기 위해서 데이터의 추출, 적재, 변환의 과정을 수행하고, 이렇게 준비된 데이터를 실제 데이터마이닝 기법을 이용하여 분석하고 결과를 검증하는 과정을 수행하면서 지자체 통합 데이터의 활용성을 검증하고자 한다.
