Aggregation of Decision Inputs with Ordered Weighted Averaging Operators and Application to the Multiple Criteria Decision Making Problems (순위가중치평균법에 의한 의사전략 결합 및 다기준의사결정 문제로의 적용)

  • It's an important part to calculate the weights between criterions and to aggregate the decision inputs in a MCDM(Multi criterion decision making) This paper presents a method for aggregation cf decision inputs and application to the MCDM. We incorporate the fuzzy set theory and the basic nature of subjectivity due to ambiguity to achieve a flexible decision approach suitable for uncertain and fuzzy environments. To obtain the scoring that corresponds to the best alternative or the ranking of the alternatives, we need to use a total order for the fuzzy numbers involved in the problem. In this article, we consider a definition of such a total order, which is based on two subjective aspects: the degree of optimism/pessimism reflected with the ordered weighted averaging(OWA) oprators. A numerical example, expecially location analysis for anchorage area, is given to illustrate the approach.

Multicriteria Fuzzy Control using Evolutionary Programming (진화 프로그래밍을 이용한 다기준 퍼지 제어)

  • 본 논문에서는 진화 프로그래밍을 이용한 다기준 퍼지제어(MFC : Multicriteria Fuzzy Control)를 제안한다. MFC의 기본적인 아이디어는 출력응답의 속성을 분석하여 기존의 퍼지 제어에 퍼지 척도와 퍼지 적분 이론을 적용한 것이다. 퍼지 적분 평가를 위해서 rise time, overshoot, settling time의 세가지 속성이 사용된다. MFC를 통해서 이 세가지 속성을 조정할 수 있다. 진화 프로그래밍은 원하는 조정 특성을 갖도록 MFC의 퍼지 척도를 최적화한다. 모의 실험을 통해서 제안된 방법이 기존의 퍼지 제어보다 우수함을 보인다.

  • As society progresses and becomes more complicated, improvements and demanded in the quality of life according to various interest groups. In relation to environment concerns, waste landfill sites in particular have been of concern. Conflicts involving treatment of such sites and decision making policies have been a point of contention between local governments, residents, and concerned organizations. To resolve these conflicts, this study developed the Multi-Criteria Spatial Decision Support System (MC-SDSS). The results of the case study revealed several conclusions; first, the approach used in this study can help to yield a better consensus for deciding upon waste landfill sites; next, by conducing sensitivity analysis, technical errors which can occur during the decision making process can be minimized; and finally, resistance from specific opposition groups can be effectively dealt with by using MC-SDSS.

  • Generally, multi-criteria decisions are made by group of people because of their complexity. In the existing fuzzy aggregation method, the operators using minimum, maximum and average are used to aggregate the viewpoints of many staffs. These methods have problems in that they do not reflect the decision situation in the decision process. In order to solve these problems we propose a new fuzzy multi-criteria decision support systems model that aids the decision maker to aggregate the viewpoints of many staffs according to the decision situation. Moreover, we design the algorithms which can be used in the fuzzy multi-criteria decision support systems and develop its prototying system.

  • Since the preference for information recommendation service can change according to the context, we should know the user context before providing information recommendation. This paper proposes recommender system that considers multi-user preference in mobile environment and attempted to apply it to restaurant recommendation. To model the preference of individual users in mobile environment, we have used Bayesian network, and restaurant recommendation mostly should consider not an individual user but several users, so this paper has used AHP of multi-criteria decision making process to obtain the preference of several users based on one of individual users. For experiments, we conducted recommendation in 10 different situations, and finally, we confirmed that the proposed system was evaluated as a good one using a usability test of SUS.

  • River restoration plan and selection method are needed to reflect the diversity of river. Meanwhile, the ultimate purpose of river restoration is natural recovery of the river. Recently. hydrophilic enhancement is a tendency to include. In this study, naturalness of a river was used to establish alternative for the natural river recovery. Also, naturalness of a river calculated by using the evaluation of river naturalness that was developed using multi-criteria decision making to fit the environmental conditions in Korea. After selection the evaluation items for assessing the naturalness of the river based on the characteristics of the river, multiple alternatives were constructed and the naturalness of river for each of those alternatives were estimated. Comparing the estimated values has made the measurement of the natural recovery effect for each alternative efficient.

A Hybrid Recommender System based on Collaborative Filtering with Selective Use of Overall and Multicriteria Ratings (종합 평점과 다기준 평점을 선택적으로 활용하는 협업필터링 기반 하이브리드 추천 시스템)

  • Recommender system recommends the items expected to be purchased by a customer in the future according to his or her previous purchase behaviors. It has been served as a tool for realizing one-to-one personalization for an e-commerce service company. Traditional recommender systems, especially the recommender systems based on collaborative filtering (CF), which is the most popular recommendation algorithm in both academy and industry, are designed to generate the items list for recommendation by using 'overall rating' - a single criterion. However, it has critical limitations in understanding the customers' preferences in detail. Recently, to mitigate these limitations, some leading e-commerce companies have begun to get feedback from their customers in a form of 'multicritera ratings'. Multicriteria ratings enable the companies to understand their customers' preferences from the multidimensional viewpoints. Moreover, it is easy to handle and analyze the multidimensional ratings because they are quantitative. But, the recommendation using multicritera ratings also has limitation that it may omit detail information on a user's preference because it only considers three-to-five predetermined criteria in most cases. Under this background, this study proposes a novel hybrid recommendation system, which selectively uses the results from 'traditional CF' and 'CF using multicriteria ratings'. Our proposed system is based on the premise that some people have holistic preference scheme, whereas others have composite preference scheme. Thus, our system is designed to use traditional CF using overall rating for the users with holistic preference, and to use CF using multicriteria ratings for the users with composite preference. To validate the usefulness of the proposed system, we applied it to a real-world dataset regarding the recommendation for POI (point-of-interests). Providing personalized POI recommendation is getting more attentions as the popularity of the location-based services such as Yelp and Foursquare increases. The dataset was collected from university students via a Web-based online survey system. Using the survey system, we collected the overall ratings as well as the ratings for each criterion for 48 POIs that are located near K university in Seoul, South Korea. The criteria include 'food or taste', 'price' and 'service or mood'. As a result, we obtain 2,878 valid ratings from 112 users. Among 48 items, 38 items (80%) are used as training dataset, and the remaining 10 items (20%) are used as validation dataset. To examine the effectiveness of the proposed system (i.e. hybrid selective model), we compared its performance to the performances of two comparison models - the traditional CF and the CF with multicriteria ratings. The performances of recommender systems were evaluated by using two metrics - average MAE(mean absolute error) and precision-in-top-N. Precision-in-top-N represents the percentage of truly high overall ratings among those that the model predicted would be the N most relevant items for each user. The experimental system was developed using Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA). The experimental results showed that our proposed system (avg. MAE = 0.584) outperformed traditional CF (avg. MAE = 0.591) as well as multicriteria CF (avg. AVE = 0.608). We also found that multicriteria CF showed worse performance compared to traditional CF in our data set, which is contradictory to the results in the most previous studies. This result supports the premise of our study that people have two different types of preference schemes - holistic and composite. Besides MAE, the proposed system outperformed all the comparison models in precision-in-top-3, precision-in-top-5, and precision-in-top-7. The results from the paired samples t-test presented that our proposed system outperformed traditional CF with 10% statistical significance level, and multicriteria CF with 1% statistical significance level from the perspective of average MAE. The proposed system sheds light on how to understand and utilize user's preference schemes in recommender systems domain.

  • 평가기준과 대안의 종류가 다양한 경우 사용하는 다기준의사결정기법은 생산관리, 공공투자 분야 등에서 널리 사용되고 있으며 수자원분야에서는 주로 홍수위험지구 선정에 사용되어 왔다. 다기준의사결정기법은 평가기준의 한정여부 및 대안을 찾는 방식에 따라 다속성의사결정기법과 다목적의사결정기법으로 다시 구분할 수 있다. 홍수방어대안을 의사결정방법에 따라 결정하는 경우, 해당지역의 환경에 따라 가능한 대안은 유한하며 한 개의 최적해를 선정하기보다는 대안의 우선 순위를 결정하여 지역 상황에 적합한 대안을 설정할 수 있도록 한다는 측면에서 다속성의사결정 기법을 활용하여 순위를 정하는 것이 타당하다. 본 연구에서는 과거 홍수피해 지역에서 적용이 가능한 대안을 경제성분석을 동반하여 평가하고, 실제 대안의 실효성을 검증하였다. 홍수방어대안으로는 전통적인 구조물적 방법 및 비구조물적 방법에 도시계획 및 토지이용계획을 포함하여 가능한 대안을 검토하였다. 또한 적용 가능한 다른 대안을 다기준의사결정기법을 활용하여 우선순위를 결정하여 제시하였다. 향후 도시계획의 수립에 있어 홍수방어에 대해 고려할 수 있는 방법이 될 수 있다.

  • 수자원사업은 합리적이고 신뢰성 있는 의사결정이 필요한데 그동안 주로 경제성분석에 의존하여 왔다. 본 연구는 경제성분석위주의 기존 방법을 탈피하여 사업 필요성과 투자 타당성을 다양한 각도로 평가할 수 있는 합리적이고 객관적인 수자원사업 대안선정과 투자우선순위결정 방법을 도출하고자 하였다. 이를 위해, 대안 간에 동일한 기준으로 종합평가점수를 산정하여 우선순위를 결정할 수 있도록 다기준의사결정모형을 개발하였다. 적용결과는 취약성 기준에 큰 영향을 받으며, 정책적 기준, 경제성 기준의 순으로 분석되었다. 이는 전문가 설문에 의한 평가기준별 가중치의 영향으로, 수자원사업은 단순히 경제성 분석만으로 평가를 해서는 안 됨을 의미한다. 본 연구는 대규모의 예산이 투입되는 수자원사업에 대한 효율성과 취약지역에 대한 형평성을 제고하는데 기여할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • 현재 그리고, 미래의 지속가능한 수자원 확보를 위해 수자원 계획 및 관리에 관한 제반 문제는 기술적인 측면과 사회적인 측면에서의 위험요소들에 대한 불확실성이 고려되어야 할 뿐만 아니라 이와 관련된 다양한 집단들의 이해관계도 상호작용하기 때문에 문제해결을 위한 다양한 기준과 내재적 갈등이 상존한다. 이에 본 연구는 농업용저수지의 연계운영 및 관리를 위한 다기준 의사결정시스템 구축을 하고자 하였으며 환경여건, 지형여건, 홍수위험도, 주민호응도, 용수수요량을 고려하여 농업용저수지의 연계운영에서 다수의 의사결정 요소들에 대한 가중치를 산출하였다. 이는 기존의 우선순위에 의한 용수배분이 최하순위의 용도나 지역에서 모든 물 부족분에 대한 위험을 부담하는데 반하여 의사결정 요소들의 상대적 가중치에 의한 용수배분은 전체 용도와 지역의 용수배분에 대한 위험이 분산되므로 보다 합리적인 것으로 판단된다.
