Safety Index Evaluation from Resistivity Monitoring Data for a Reservoir Dyke (전기비저항 상시관측에 의한 제체 안전도 지수 산출)

  • An abnormal seepage flow, which is mainly caused by the piping, is one of the major reasons for embankment dam failure. A leakage detection is therefore a vital part of an embankment dam's monitoring. Resistivity method, which is an efficient tool to detect leakage zones, has been used all over the world for an embankment dam's monitoring. Although the resistivity method gives us very useful information about the leakage problem, there is no more quantitative interpretation than the low resistivity zones in the 2-dimensional resistivity section are regraded simply as the anomalous seepage zones. Recently, resistivity monitoring technique is applied for the detection of leakage zones. However, its interpretation still remains in the stage of presenting the resistivity ratio itself. An increased seepage flow increases a porosity and an increasing porosity decreases the dam's stability. Therefore, the porosity is one of the major factors for an embankment dam's stability. Based on Archie's experimental formula, we try to evaluate a porosity distribution from the resistivity data which is obtained on the dam's crest. We also attempt to represent a procedure to evaluate a safety index of the embankment dam from the resistivity monitoring data.

  • 기존의 밸브 수압측정기는 압력조절을 수동으로 조절함으로서 정확한 압력측정을 할 수 없는 불편함이 있었다. 이를 밸브의 수압측정 시 압력조절센서를 이용하여 압력조절을 안전하고 정확하게 개선한다. 또한 3차원 유한요소 코드인 ANSYS를 활용하여 설계된 수압측정기에 대하여 구조해석을 수행하여 수압측정기 내부압력에 따른 내부누수, 응력, 변형률, 총변형량 등을 구하였다.

  • Developed ground cavity due to leakage of decrepit old sewer pipe causes ground surface settlement and brittle fracture of pavement. Recently, for 5 years, frequency of occurrence of ground subsidence phenomenon tends to increase rapidly and/or steadily. It is difficult to investigate ground surface settlement and/or subsidence in urban area because most ground surfaces are covered with asphalt or concrete pavement. In this research, therefore, ground surface settlement, influence zone and settlement of sewer pipe were analyzed using finite element method. Not only reinforced effect of pseudo-plastic backfill that is applied to prevent ground surface settlement or subsidence spot, was compared and analyzed using numerical analysis program, but also direct shear test was carried out to determine strength parameters of pseudo-plastic backfill.

  • In this paper, highly linear power amplifier using bandpass filter based on metamaterial and Composite Right- / Left-Handed (CRLH) structure is proposed. The proposed bandpass filter consist of the series capacitor, series microstrip line and the parallel inductor, parallel microstrip line. The insertion loss is minimized at operation frequency and the $2^{nd}$ harmonic is suppressed by the bandpass filter using the CRLH structure. And we improved the Adjacent Channel Leakage Ratio (ACLR) using the characteristic of the proposed bandpass filter. At 2.14 GHz, we have obtained the output power of 38.83 dBm, the $2^{nd}$ harmonic of .61.33 dBc, the $3^{rd}$ IMD of .54.67 dBc, and ACLR of .51.33 dBc at 5 MHz offset, -56.50 dBc at 10 MHz offset, respectively.

  • Waterproofing is one of the important factor to improve performance of building elements. But existing repair system for waterproofing have many problems like a damage of waterproof layer due to movement of concrete substrate, blistering effect and moisture condition. So waterproofing layer can not play an important part to improve waterproofing function and performance of building. Therefore, new waterproofing system to solve these problems of existing waterproofing system is developed. In this paper, new waterproofing system in water-leakage repair for remodeling is introduced

  • 기존의 수압측정기와 다르게 물을 좌 우로 보내고 밸브를 수평 수직으로 변환할 수 있으며 컨트롤러를 장착하여 압력을 조절할 수 있는 신모델 밸브 수압측정기를 개발하였다. 신모델 밸브 수압측정기는 CATIA를 활용하여 모델링하였다. 또한 신모델 밸브 수압측정기의 구조해석은 유한요소해석 코드인 ANSYS를 활용하여 내부압력에 따른 누수, 응력, 변형률, 변형량을 구하였다.

  • Existing hydraulic valve meter used in industrial fields precise pressure measurement gives inconvenience in precise measurement due to manually regulated pressures. In order to improve this inconvenience, the hydraulic valve meter was designed by using automatic design program CATIA and structural analysis of the designed hydraulic valve meter was conducted and internal water leaking, stress, strain and total deformation were obtained by applying three dimensional finite element code ANSYS. These results will be provided to develop new concepts of hydraulic valve meters as fundamental data.

  • High pressure valve tester used in industrial fields precise measurement gives inconvenience in precise measurement due to manually regulated pressures. In order to improve this inconvenience, the high pressure valve tester was designed by using CATIA and structural analysis of the designed high pressure valve tester was conducted and water leaking, total deformation, strain and stress were obtained by applying ANSYS. These results will be provided to develop new concepts of high pressure valve tester as initial data.

Effect of Surface Flaw Type on Ultrasonic Backscattering Profile (표면결함유형이 초음파 후방산란 프로파일에 미치는 영향)

  • The classification of surface flaw types was performed on the basis of angular dependence of backscattered ultrasound. The copper line adhered on the surface, cower line filled in groove, pure groove and the normal edge were adopted as various surface flaw patterns of glass specimen. A backward longitudinal profile was formed probably by the longitudinal wane scattering at and near 1st critical angle. The wave trains at the peak angles of the backward radiation profiles showed different shapes according to the superposition ratio of scattered and leaky waves. The asymmetry of the backward radiation profile arose due to the scattering effect of flaw. The additive resonance effect of copper line appeared in the left side of the profile. The peak angles of both the longitudinal and radiation profiles were shifted toward small angle by the scattering effect.

  • PVC(Polyvinyl Chloride)와 HDPE(High-density Polyethlene) 하수도관은 수많은 고분자 재료 중에도 높은 기계적 강도를 가지며, 광범위하게 사용되고 있다. 하지만, PVC와 HDPE 하수관을 연결하기 위해 소모 접착제나 고무링 이용한 소켓 방법 이음 방법은 낮은 수밀성과 기계적 강도로 오 폐수의 누수가 발생되고, 이것이 흙에 스며들어 지하수, 하천 및 토양을 오염시키고 있다. 따라서, 대안으로 최근에는 열판을 이용한 맞대기 융착 용접을 PE 하수도 관에 제한적으로 적용하여 시공하고 있다. 그러나, PVC 하수관은 열을 가할 시 열에 의한 민감한 거동으로 인해 맞대기 융착 용접법이 적용되지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 하수도 관 중, 국내에서 가장 많이 사용되고 있는 내 충격 PVC 하수도관과 HDPE 이중 벽관의 DSC(Diffential Scanning Calorimeter), TGA(Thermogravimetric analyzer), TMA(Thermomechanical Analysis), DMA(Dynamic Mechanical Analysis) 분석으로 온도에 따른 열적 거동을 분석하여, 적절한 융착 온도 조건을 제시하였다. 또한 접합강도 향상을 위한 이음부 설계를 제안하여, 융착 용접 특성을 평가하였다.
