A Study on Dry and Wet Wipe Test for Radioisotope Leakage Checking (방사성동위원소 누설 점검을 위한 건식 및 습식 문지름 시험법 연구)

  • A dry and wet wipe test for radioisotope leakage checking was conducted by fixing the radioisotope $^{14}C$ to the glass surface and used for observing the transfer factor and surface shape of the test paper through wipe test. The dry wipe test showed that transfer factor in the tissue paper was twice as high as in the paper filter, and the wet wipe test showed that transfer factor in the paper filter paper was three times higher than the tissue paper. Although paper filters are general choice for leakage checking, it has been shown that tissue paper can be an alternative in the dry wipe test.

  • Recently, Guard lamp was divided from electric facilities for general use as dangerous zone of safety management. This paper presents a remote inspection system of guard lamp that can monitor electrical safety factor. Especially, the developed system adopts the measurement algorithm for detecting resistive leakage current($I_{gr}$) flowing based on the phase difference checkable for sensing at a monitor. Also, It was fabricated the repeater for data transmission and the MMI program At this system, we made experiment on stability of resistive leakage current to verify phase comparison detecting algorism.

  • 전기사업법 제 66조 및 동법 시행규칙 제 35조에 따라 실시하고 있는 일반용 전기설비의 정기점검은 점검의 효율성을 향상시키기 위해 무정전으로 누설전류 및 절연저항 등을 측정할 필요가 있다. 본 논문에서는 누설전류, 절연저항 및 접지저항 측정기능을 갖고 휴대가 편리하며 PDA와 통신이 가능한 다기능 전기안전측정장치를 개발하였다. 개발된 시스템은 가정집, 사무실, 상가 둥에서 기존의 계측기와 비교시험을 통해 오차율이 ${\pm}5%$ 이하가 되도록 하였다.

  • The present study presented the implementation of a remote control/supervision system for guard lamps used in public illumination with little endeavor by far for safe management, which makes possible to supervise the state and to control the functions remotely including electric safety elements. Especially, the developed system adopts the measurement algorithm for detecting resistive leakage current(Igr) flowing based on the phase difference checkable for sensing at a monitor, being allowable for monitoring at MMI and transmitter for data transmittance. To verify reliability about the algorithm to accurately detect Igr leakage current, the laboratory-based functional test was performed.

  • In this paper, a device for safety inspection of a guard lamp with an automatic switch which has been recently employed in some local autonomous entities was developed. It is technically enhanced by installing a separate inspection box down below, which allows the inspectors can measure the leakage current, the sound function of the electric leakage breaker(ELB), the insulation resistance and the grounding resistance, on the ground. This inspection box makes the inspectors free from the electric shock by being designed to minimize the potential direct contact with the energized terminals. The deliverables of this paper are expected to contribute to carry out the inspection for the guard lamps safely and effectively.

  • If leakage current is neglected, it can become a cause for disasters such as electric shock and fire, therefore a continuous monitoring is necessary. However in most cases, because management of substations is performed by unmanned systems, or walk-around inspections, continuous monitor is difficult. So when an accident occurs and the cause is not immediately resolved causing the emergency generator's OCGR getting activated by the leakage current that in turn cut off the ACB, the emergency generator may stop working. To prevent such a problem, a real-time integrated monitoring system for monitoring the leakage current returning to the grounding wire of neutral point of the low voltage side of transformer is proposed. Therefore in this paper, the effects of flow of leakage current, which is caused by insulation degradation phenomena or insulation destroy phenomena, were identified by simulation. And through cases studies; the excellence of integrated monitoring system was verified.

  • In this study, an automated cable non-destructive testing(NDT) system was developed to monitor the steel cables that are a core component of cable-stayed bridges. The magnetic flux leakage(MFL) method, which is suitable for ferromagnetic continuum structures and has been verified in previous studies, was applied to the cable inspection. A multi-channel MFL sensor head was fabricated using hall sensors and permanent magnets. A wheel-based cable climbing robot was fabricated to improve the accessibility to the cables, and operating software was developed to monitor the MFL-based NDT research and control the climbing robot. Remote data transmission and robot control were realized by applying wireless LAN communication. Finally, the developed element techniques were integrated into an MFL-based cable NDT system, and the field applicability of this system was verified through a field test at Seohae Bridge, which is a typical cable-stayed bridge currently in operation.

  • LBB 설계법은 오늘날 같이 플랜트의 대형화 및 복잡화함에 따라서, 균열이 발생하였다고 하여도 기기의 점검시 발견하지 못하는 수가 있을 것이다. 이러한 경우에 있어서 LBB 설계법은 fail safe design으로서 만일의 손상이 발생하더라도 플랜트의 안전성 및 경제성 확보를 위하여 매우 중요한 설계법이다. 이 LBB 설계법은 위에서도 설명하였듯이 선진제국에서는 상당히 연구가 진전되어 있으나, 우리나라에서는 이 분야에 연구가 전혀 없는 실정이다. 특히 에너지자원이 부족한 우리나라로서는 LNG, LPG 가스의 수입에 있어서, 이러한 저온가스를 운반할 tanker의 개발에 있어서도 LBB의 확보가 중요한 것이다. 또한 발전에너지원을 석유에만 의존하는 현재의 추세에서, 우라늄 등에 의한 원자력발전으로 대체되어 가고 있는 현재 전 발전능력의 약 50%를 의존하고 있는 실정이다. 이러한 면에서 실제의 구조물이 일시에 파단이 일어나지 않고, 파단 신뢰성이 충분히 높다는 것을 실증하여 둔다는 것은 안전성평가상 지극히 중요한 것이다.

  • A electrical fault is defined as any abnormal condition caused by a reduction in the insulation strength. To define the potential risk of the electric installation, measurement of leakage current has been getting considered, but because the measured leakage current value also contained leakage current by capacitance, the measured value could not be adapted to absolute reference to the installation. Therefore, in this paper, the correlation between the condition of electric installation and leakage current were analyzed. The result focuses on to detect them in a cost efficient way.
