  • Recently, the cooling water of power plant was included in RPS(Renewable Portpolio Standard) as water heat energy. Thus the trend of cooling water application is growing bigger for agriculture and fishing industry. Especially as energy consumption cost in agriculture and fishing industry is a vital element, the interests for energy efficiency is growing bigger. The advanced agriculture country like Netherlands is distributing diagnosis software to the farmers based on ICT diagnostic system for the efficient energy consumption and energy demand amounts depend on crops of cultivation in automated horticulture. Hereafter, in the preparation of the expansion of the automated agriculture domestically by the cooling water of power plant, we would like to propose the energy application case(Greenery) in the advanced countries abroad in agriculture and EMS system about the application of the cooling water in power plant.

  • This study aimed to clarify the effect of information technology (IT) education on the efficiency and effectiveness of working processes among agriculture corporations. Survey data on information levels from 222 agriculture corporations were collected from the Korean Agency of Education, Promotion, and Information Service in Food, Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries (EPIS) for a governmental white paper. Structural equation modeling was used for analysis. This study found that IT education increases the ratio of the use of information systems in working processes, especially given the use of data accumulated through information and communications technologies (ICT). The findings of this study suggest that the use of ICT data as an aspect of IT education is beneficial for the agricultural sector.

  • Smart farming education service focuses on the dissemination of farming information that is the farming knowledge, farming skill, and farmer's experiences and knowhow, etc. This farming information is supposed from current activities, farming product and from the experience of farmer on the field. If the information is not available, or if available and not in a form that is amenable to being brought to the end producer then the process stalls at this point. The core component of the automation process for smart farming education service is the creation of a data store which will be a repository for the information of the smart farming education. The farming sector will benefit immensely from the implementation of farming data in farming contents repository which will serve as the knowledge base for the smart farming education service.

  • IT Convergence with agriculture is expected to bring more efficiency and quality improvement in producing, distributing, consuming of agricultural products with the aid of information processing and autonomous control technologies of the IT area. However, there exist many difficulties to establish services and systems to actualize the IT convergence service in the agricultural field to cope with various objects such as time-varying weather changes, growth condition of farm products, and continual diseases. In this paper, we suggest standard technology service requirements for ubiquitous environments agriculture based on network.

  • There are many damages due to the unstable climate. Among them, agriculture will be the most affected by the climate. Agriculture has limited crops that can be grown along with climate and seasons. We will develop smart farms that integrate information technology(ICT) into agricultural technology and improve the productivity of existing agricultural technology. It uses Raspberry Pi and Arduino to control the hardware and software, and uses various sensors to recognize the environment necessary for crop cultivation and maintain optimal environment. In addition, it is possible to manipulate these Smart Farm as mobile or personal PC to implement a flexible Smart Farm.

  • This study explored the effects of adoption of innovation and resistant attitude on farmers' perspectives and also was deigned for developing prompt spread of ICT and facilitating stronghold support center in the convergence agricultural field. To closely examine the variation for exploitation intent of stronghold support center in the ICT convergence agriculture, 110 farmers who had experienced introduction for ICT hybrid environmental control system were participated in the study using the questionnaire. The results revealed the several findings. Firstly, there was no significant differences between the self-efficacy such as confidence of application technology for farmers and adoption of innovative technique (p=.075). Secondly, suitability of using ICT hybrid environmental control system showed a significant difference in the adoption of innovation (p=2.750) while complexity of using ICT hybrid environmental control system indicated the negative effects on the adoption of innovation (p=3.591). Thirdly, introduction cost of ICT hybrid environmental control system showed the negative effects in the adoption of innovation (p=2.278), whereas adoption of innovation indicated a significant difference in the stronghold support center in the convergence agricultural field (p=5.500). Finally, resistance of ICT adoption of innovative technique revealed the negative effects on the stronghold support center in the ICT convergence agriculture. This study, therefore, demonstrated that educational assistance for acquiring ICT technique, suggestion of influences for productivity, and development for skills were needed to extend ICT convergence technology. Additionally, the study indicated the strategies related with promotion as well as ways of minimizing introduction cost.

  • Korean government has planned to increase the productivity of horticultural crops and to expand supply smart greenhouse for energy saving by modernization of horticultural facilities based on ICT in policy. However, the diversity and linkages of monitoring and control are significantly insufficient in the agricultural sector in the current situation. Therefore, development of a service system with smart-farm based on the internet of things(IoT) for intelligent systemization of all the process of agricultural production through remote control using complex algorithm for diverse monitoring and control is required. In this study, domestic and international research trend related to ICT-based horticultural facilities was briefly introduced and limits were analyzed in the domestic application of the advanced technology. Finally, future core technologies feasible to graft in agricultural field were reviewed.

  • This paper propose a system to notify the user that detects failure of malfunction of smart farm ICT devices. As the fourth industrial revolution approaches, agriculture is also fused with ICT technology to improve competitiveness. Smart farming market is rapidly growing every year, but there is still a lack of standardization and certification systems. Especially, smart farm devices that are widely used in Korea are different in product specifications, software and hardware are developed separately, and quality and compatibility are poor. Therefore, a system that can recognize the abnormality of the equipment due to the frequent damage of farmers using low cost smart farm equipment is needed. In this paper, we review smart farm domestic and overseas policy trends and domestic smart agriculture trends, analyze smart farm failure or malfunctions and proactively prevent them, and propose a system to inform users when problems occur.
