An Analysis of Strengths and Weaknesses in the Study of Elementary Mathematics Lessons via Teacher Learning Community (교사학습공동체를 기반으로 한 초등학교 수학 수업연구의 긍정적인 측면과 한계점 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the strengths and weaknesses resulting from a study of elementary mathematics lessons among in-service teachers and to discuss implications for the direction of improvement of the study on elementary mathematics lessons based on teacher learning community. The results of this study showed that the study on elementary mathematics lessons based on teacher learning community improved teacher knowledge related to teaching mathematics, enhanced teacher's accomplishment and self-esteem, made it possible for participant teachers to teach one another, created atmosphere in which teachers investigated instruction via sustainable and systematic lesson study. However, some limitations were noticed such as regulations by the social norms of the teacher learning community, the influence of an expert teacher, teachers' unprofessional decision making, and lack of systematic evaluation and reflection on lessons. Based on these results, this paper closes with critical implications to enhance teacher learning community.

  • The purposes of the study was to investigate BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) policy since it would be limited to distribute all of the digital devices required for the schools within the budget of the government. First, the concept and characteristics of BYOD were introduced. Then, the pros and cons of BYOD were analyzed according to the case studies of BYOD policies of the U.S. Based on the previous experiences, guidelines of domestic BYOD policies were established. Regarding the institutional aspect, technical issues, usage, damages, digital divide, information security, and resources were discussed. Additionally, conditions of technology, networks, filtering, software were also considered as essential infrastructure. In sum, as an alternative of distributing digital devices in schools, the importance of BYOD should be regarded as top priorities with systematic preparations in launching digital education. It would be expected that this study play a fundamental role in launching domestic BYOD policy by supporting specific strategies.

  • To investigate the role of positive emotion in education, we have reviewed the previous studies on positive emotion, learning and motivation. In the present study, we examined the definition of positive emotion, and influences of positive emotion on cognition, creativity, social relationship, psychological resource such as life satisfaction, and interactive relationship among positive emotion, motivation and learning. To investigate the role of positive emotion on motivation and learning more scientifically, we examined the recent results of neuroscience. In other words, we have reviewed diverse research on positive emotion, learning and motivation based on brain-based learning. We also examined the research of autonomy-supportive environment as the specific example of improving positive emotion. As one of the most effective methods for emotional education, we discussed brain-based learning, the new research field. As the future prospects, we discussed the implications, possibilities and limitations of brain-based learning.

  • 관계 추출 태스크는 주어진 텍스트로부터 두 개체 간의 적절한 관계를 추론하는 작업이며, 지식 베이스 구축 및 질의응답과 같은 응용 태스크의 기반이 된다. 최근 자연어처리 분야 전반에서 생성형 거대 언어모델의 내재 지식을 활용하여 뛰어난 성능을 성취하면서, 대표적인 정보 추출 태스크인 관계 추출에서 역시 이를 적극적으로 활용 가능한 방안에 대한 탐구가 필요하다. 특히, 실 세계의 추론 환경과의 유사성에서 기인하는 저자원 특히, 제로샷 환경에서의 관계 추출 연구의 중요성에 기반하여, 효과적인 프롬프팅 기법의 적용이 유의미함을 많은 기존 연구에서 증명해왔다. 따라서, 본 연구는 한국어 관계 추출 분야에서 거대 언어모델에 다각적인 프롬프팅 기법을 활용하여 제로샷 환경에서의 추론에 관한 비교 연구를 진행함으로써, 추후 한국어 관계 추출을 위한 최적의 거대 언어모델 프롬프팅 기법 심화 연구의 기반을 제공하고자 한다. 특히, 상식 추론 등의 도전적인 타 태스크에서 큰 성능 개선을 보인 사고의 연쇄(Chain-of-Thought) 및 자가 개선(Self-Refine)을 포함한 세 가지 프롬프팅 기법을 한국어 관계 추출에 도입하여 양적/질적으로 비교 분석을 제공한다. 실험 결과에 따르면, 사고의 연쇄 및 자가 개선 기법 보다 일반적인 태스크 지시 등이 포함된 프롬프팅이 정량적으로 가장 좋은 제로샷 성능을 보인다. 그러나, 이는 두 방법의 한계를 지적하는 것이 아닌, 한국어 관계 추출 태스크에의 최적화의 필요성을 암시한다고 해석 가능하며, 추후 이러한 방법론들을 발전시키는 여러 실험적 연구에 의해 개선될 것으로 판단된다.

A Study on Correction Approach for the Life Safety Index for Personalized Services Based on User Profiles (생활안전 예방서비스 사용자 프로파일 기반 맞춤형 서비스를 위한 생활안전지수 보정 방안 연구)

  • This study introduces a study on the adjustment methods of the Life Safety Index. The Life Safety Index is a service provided by the Life Safety Prevention Service System. It comprehensively evaluates individuals' levels of safety in their daily lives, continually monitors their safety status, and presents a comprehensive index to prevent safety accidents in advance. Previous studies have developed the Life Safety Index using evaluation criteria (items) for assessing life safety prevention services, incorporating both the AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) and Likert Scale techniques. In this study, we build upon this existing Life Safety Index and explore methods for applying adjustment factors based on individuals' characteristics to enhance its accuracy and customization. We develop adjustment factors using existing national statistics to provide personalized services tailored to individual profiles. Therefore, this paper proposes a method for providing customized services by applying adjustment factors to the Life Safety Index, contributing to the development and application of life safety index adjustment methodologies.

A Case Study on Teaching and Learning of the Linear Function in Constant Velocity Movement: Focus on Integrated Curriculum of Mathematics and Science (등속도 운동에서 일차함수 교수-학습 과정에 관한 사례연구: 수학과 과학의 통합교육 관점을 기반으로)

  • As a theoretical background for this research, the literatures which focus on teaching and loaming of connecting with mathematics and science were investigated. And the rationale of integrated curriculum on the basis of the 7th mathematics curriculum and the goal of mathematics education and the forms of integrated curriculum and the integrated curriculum in foreign school were investigated. Depending on this review, the implement method of the integrated curriculum of mathematics and science in Korea school is suggested as the following: It requires designing inter-disciplinary into-grated problem or various teaching and learning materials which are based upon concept, skill, and principle by commonality found across the subject matter. Based on the analyses upon described above, three inter-disciplinary integrated teaching and learning materials were developed. And then, based on the case stud)', the research questions were analyzed in depth. Students could understand the developing process of linear function, develop the formula and grape representing the relationship between time and velocity, time and distance, and interpret realistic meaning of the slope.

Research on the Effectiveness of the Mentoring System to Support Beginning Science Teachers (초임 과학교사 지원을 위한 멘토링의 효율성 연구)

  • The purpose of this research is to investigate ways to introduce mentoring system to support beginning and experienced teachers for their professional development. As an alternative to existing teacher training programs, we planned and implemented a mentoring system to examine its effects in developing professionalism among teachers-in-need, and those who have not met the teacher's evaluation standards. Mentoring is defined as being concerned with promoting the 'development of an individual to his/her full potential,' both professionally and personally. It is linked with professional and career development, and is somewhat characterized by an 'expert-novice' relationship. The mentoring system in science features group mentoring, where 3 prot$\'{e}$g$\'{e}$-mentor teams gathered together for instructional consulting using their videotaped classroom teaching. Through video-based discussions, teachers could share reflective experiences through collaborative investigations based on evidences revealed in classroom teaching videos. Using open-ended interviews with the teachers and video-based discussions, we extracted needs and goals of mentoring, the need of mentoring system to support beginning teachers, and the requirement of mentor quality in light of mentor's expected roles. Conclusions and recommendations related to teachers' mentoring and for the government's development of mentoring system are discussed.

정보통신윤리교육을 위한 사례중심 코스웨어의 적용 및 효과 분석

  • 매스컴을 통해 자주 보도되는 정보통신 윤리 관련 범죄는 정보통신 윤리 교육의 필요성이 강조되게 하고 있으며, 최근 교육학자들은 정보 윤리 교육의 실행방안에 대해 많은 연구를 하고 있다. 추병완(2001)은 가상공간의 질서 유지를 위한 네티켓은 강제적이고 억압적인 외적규제보다는 네티즌 자신의 자율성에 의존하는 내적 규제라는 점을 고려해 볼 때, 정보통신윤리 교육은 학생들의 자율성을 발달시켜 주는 방향으로 실시되어야한다고 제시한다. 정보 윤리 교육이 학생들의 자발적인 활동과 체험을 중시하는 가운데 양방향적으로 이루어질 수 있게 하기 위한 방법을 제시하고 설명형, 탐구형, 시범형, 활동형방법의 네 가지 방법을 통합적으로 활용하는 것이 바람직하다고 하였다. 정보통신윤리 교육방법을 통합적으로 활용할 수 있는 코스웨어가 필요하며 그 대안으로 GBS(Goal-Based Scenarios) 방식의 코스웨어를 제시하며 초등학생을 대상으로 하여 GBS를 기반으로 정보통신윤리교육을 위한 사례중심 프로그램을 개발하고 적용해 봄으로써 그 효과를 검증해 보고자 정보 나열형 코스웨어와 사례중심형 코스웨에의 두 가지 종류의 프로그램으로 사전검사를 통해 동질집단으로 밝혀진 두 집단을 학습시키고 사후검사를 통해 두 집단간 비교를 하였으며 각 집단의 사전 사후 대응 검정을 통하여 프로그램의 효과를 검증하였다.

Development and Evaluation of an English Speaking Task Using Smartphone and Text-to-Speech (스마트폰과 음성합성을 활용한 영어 말하기 과제의 개발과 평가)

  • This study explores the effects of an video-recording English speaking task model on learners. The learning model, a form of mobile learning, was developed to facilitate the learners' output practice applying advantages of a smartphone and Text-to Speech. The survey results shows the positive effects of the speaking task on the domain of pronunciation, speaking, listening, writing in terms of students' confidence, as well as general English ability. The study further examines the possibilities and limitations of the speaking task in assisting Korean learners improve their speaking ability, who do not have sufficient exposure to English input or output practice due to the situational limitations where English is learned as a foreign language.

  • This study is to design Flipped Learning classrooms of learner-centered education on the pre-service math teachers education. The study aims to explore the feasibility of teaching and learning method. To achieve the objectives of the study was to explore the teaching and learning model. Flipped learing classroom design includes a main step of a typical process of teaching system. And we designed the model based on the ADDIE Model. This model contains the design steps and the Flipped learning component of the teaching and learning design model. Designed classroom presented in three steps that are before classroom, during classroom and after classroom.
