한동안 인쇄-출판계의 관심에서 멀어졌던 e-Book이 새롭게 각광을 받고 있다. 시장규모가 점차 커지고 e-Book 콘텐츠의 숫자도 대폭 늘어나고 있다. 하지만 이러한 시장의 외형적인 성장에도 불구하고 e-Book 산업은 아직까지 견실한 수익구조를 제대로 갖추지 못하고 있는 상황이다. 지금까지의 전자책 회사의 수익구조는 B2C와 B2B에 의존하는 단순한 수익모델을 가지고 있었다. 그러나 최근 출판 및 학계를 중심으로 우리나라 e-Book 산업의 수익구조 개선방안을 모색하기 위한 다각적인 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 다음은 지난 해 한국출판연구소가 주최한 '2005 한국출판평론.학술상'공모에서 출판학술상을 수상한 이용준 교수의 논문을 발췌,요약한 것이다.

In addition to emphasizing practicality, as in some academic disciplines, LIS is also interested in the research activities and journal publishing of librarians. Despite the high interest, there are few Korean studies on librarian authors' publishing. This study focuses on analyzing the status of librarians' publishing and finding ways to activate their journal publishing. This study analyzed the papers of the librarian authors published from 2014 to 2018 in Journal of the Korean Biblia Society for Library and Information Science and identified the characteristics of librarians who are publishing. As a result, librarians accounted for 15.56% of all authors. However, it is encouraging that the number of librarians' authorship stabilized, and that many librarians are the main authors. Librarians who were energetically publishing were public or school librarians, and academic librarians were slightly behind. There were graduate student librarians who collaborated with the advisor. In order to increase the librarian's publishing, it seemed to be necessary to improve not only the librarian's efforts but also the recognition and assistance of his/her library. Both the librarian and his/her library should be aware of the importance of publishing the journals, and should establish concrete plans such as resilience, compensation, and support. In this way, the librarian's valuable practical experience will be published in research papers and widely shared among researchers and practitioners.

김윤덕 최재천 국회의원은 지난 4월 17일 국회 입법조사처 대회의실에서 '출판문화산업 진흥을 위한 도서정가제 법제화 공청회'를 개최했다. 200여명의 출판 서점인이 참가한 가운데 진행된 이날 공청회에서는 부길만 한국출판학회 회장이 '출판문화산업 진흥을 위한 도서정가제 법제화'라는 주제로 발제를 진행했다. 본지에서는 부길만 회장의 발제를 요약 게재한다.

한국출판문화산업진흥원(원장 이재호)은 최근 프레스센터 내셔널 프레스클럽에서 '창조경제시대, 문화융성을 견인하는 출판정책'이라는 주제로 포럼을 개최했다. 이날 포럼은 김기태 세명대학교 교수의 사회로 진행됐으며, 이민화 카이스트 초빙교수가 '창조경제와 출판'에 대해, 김기덕 건국대 교수가 '문화융성과 출판'에 대해 주제발표를 진행했다. 본지에서는 김기덕 교수가 주제 발표한 내용을 요약 게재한다.

한국출판연구소(이사장 윤청광)는 지난해 12월 4일 ‘2002 한국출판평론.학술상’ 수상자를 선정.발표하였다. 이번 한국출판학술상은 2001년 9월 이후 발표된 관련 논문이나 단행본을 대상으로 수상자를 선정한 것으로, 반갑게도 한국출판학술상 우수상 수상자 명단에 국립중앙도서관 자료조직과의 김미해 사서가 포함되어 있었다. 김미해사서는 2002년 2월 중앙대학교 신문방송대학원 출판잡지전공 석사졸업논문인 ‘국제표준자료번호(ISBN/ISSN)의 활용도 제고방안 연구’를 제출하여 수사의 영광을 안았다. 이번 김미해 사서의 수상을 계기로 사서들도 도서관과 밀접한 관련이 있는 출판정책에 관심을 가지고, 또한 출판계와 도서관계의 유기적인 협력관계를 통해 21세기 지식정보화 사회의 인프라 구축을 굳건히 할 계기가 되기를 바라면서 인터뷰를 하였다.

In this paper, we propose an effective use of SuperSQL for efficient media publication that utilizes relational databases. SuperSQL is an enhanced SQL processing system that converts data stored in relational databases into a variety or applied formats, such as XML and HTML, as a result or query. In order to integrate various media generators in SuperSQL query processor, we discuss methods to prepare both for new media promptly and for efficient media publication processing system. This research makes two main contributions: (1) it is a study about methods to integrate media generators by combining common processes in SuperSQL query processor, and (2) it introduces the trinity data model, which divide the media generating processes into three aspects, which are value, structure and medium abstraction. We also show the good performance and feasibility of our system.
