At present we have access to a plethora of university journals. The purpose of this study is to estimate the use of these university Journals in research fields by focussing on the level of usage in each discipline in addition to the level of usage of each university journal in linguistics. The results indicate the level of academic use of each Journal in lingustics as well as of usage levels between disciplines. From these results, the follow-up measure is requested for differentiation and specialization of university journals.

In this paper, we analyzed 3,668 papers of JKIICE from 2007 to 2016 using text mining methods for understanding research fields. We used web scraping programs of Python language for data collection, and utilized topic modeling methods based on LDA algorithm implemented by R language. In the results, we verified that representative research areas of JKIICE could be downsized to 9 areas only by the analysis though the submission areas were 19 areas by 2016.

In web search engines, there are two main methods: directory searching and keyword searching. Keyword searching shows high recall rate but tends to come up with too many search results to find which users want to see the pages. Directory searching has also a difficulty to find the pages that users want in case of selecting improper category without knowing the exact category, that is, it shows high precision rates but low recall rates. We designed and implemented a new web search engine to resolve the problems of directory search method. It regards a category as a fuzzy set which contains keywords and calculate the degree of inclusion between categories. The merit of this method is to enhance the recall rate of directory searching by expanding subcategories on the basis of similarity.

본 논문에서는 한글 문서 검색 시스템에서 자연어 질의어로 검색할경우, 질의어를 주제어와 참조어로 나누어 재구성하여 검색하는 방법을 제시하였다. 먼저 주제어로 전문검색을 하여 후보 카드들을 추출한 후 비주제어로 다시 본문 탐색을 하여 추출된 카드의 가중치를 재조정함으로써 카드추출의 정확성을 높였다. 이 논문에 제시된 방법의 실험은 한국전자통신연구소 언어정보연구실에서 개발한 멀티미디어 전자 백과 사전의 자연어 검색모듈에서 행하여 졌다. 이 방법으로 별다른 검색속도의 저하나, 저장공간의 추가가 없이 기존의 검색 방법에서보다 약 58%정도의 검색의 정확성이 올라갔다. 본 논문에서 제시한 검색의 방법은 여러가지 응용의 자연어 인터페이스에서 데이타를 검색하는 정보검색의 분야에 적용되어 정확성을 높일 수 있을 것이다.

CHES는 암호 알고리즘의 하드웨어/소프트웨어 구현의 설계 및 분석에 대한 다양한 성과가 발표되는 부채널 분석 분야 최대 규모의 보안 컨퍼런스이다. 본 기고는 CHES 컨퍼런스에 발표된 논문들에 대하여 부채널 공격 관점, 부채널 대응 및 구현 관점, CHES에서 주제로 다루는 암호 알고리즘의 추이 관점으로 구분하여 동향을 분석한다. 이를 위하여 오류주입 공격, 머신러닝 기반 부채널 공격, 캐시공격, 부채널 누출 검증 방법론과 부채널 역공학 기술 등 다양한 부채널 공격을 소개하고 최신 논문 주제의 흐름에 대하여 논의한다. 또한, 소프트웨어 고차 마스킹과 하드웨어 TI, PUF/난수 발생기 등의 부채널 대응기술 및 구현 동향을 분석하며, CHES에 발표된 논문들이 주제로 다루는 대칭키, 공개키 암호 및 화이트박스 암호 추이를 분석한다. 이러한 CHES 컨퍼런스의 주제별 연구 동향 분석 결과는 부채널 분석 연구자에게 유용한 정보를 제공하고 향후 연구 방향에 대한 중요한 지표가 될 수 있을 것이다.

The aims of this study were to provide a global overview of research trends in information science and to trace its changes in the main research topics over time using trends analysis. The study examined the topics of research articles published in Journal of Korean Society for Information Management between 1984 and 2009. Rather than taking a single snapshot of a given point in time, this study attempted to present a series of such pictures in order to identify trends over time. The fairly arbitrary decision was taken to divide the period under consideration into three 'publication windows': 1984-1994, 1995-2002, 2003-2009. The study revealed that the most productive areas were 'Information Service', followed by 'Information Organization', and 'Information System'. The most productive sub-areas were 'Library Service', 'User Study', 'Automatic Document Analysis', 'ILS', 'Thesaurus/Ontology', and 'Digital Library'. From the comparisons of intellectual structures of title keywords, the key research area in the field of Information Science was 'Information Retrieval'. The studies of IT applications and service system evaluation have been expanded.

e-Navigation은 해사안전과 관련하여 국내외에서 가장 주목받고 있는 주제임에 분명하다. 본 논문은 e-Navigation에서 주요한 요소로 다루고 있는 PNT(Position, Navigation, Timing)의 중요성과 역할에 대해서 설명한다. 그리고 국제기구에서 논의되고 있는 PNT 관련 쟁점 사항들을 주제별로 분류하고, 각각의 주제가 해결하고자 하는 문제를 정의한다. 더불어 본 논문은 최근에 국제기구가 요구하고 있는 PNT 성능이 정의한 문제와 어떠한 상관관계가 있는지를 보인다. 마지막으로 e-Navigation에서 목표로 하는 PNT 성능을 구현하기 위한 주요 선진국의 대응 현황에 대해 알아보고, 향후 발전방향에 대해 전망한다.

한국출판문화산업진흥원(원장 이재호)은 최근 프레스센터 내셔널 프레스클럽에서 '창조경제시대, 문화융성을 견인하는 출판정책'이라는 주제로 포럼을 개최했다. 이날 포럼은 김기태 세명대학교 교수의 사회로 진행됐으며, 이민화 카이스트 초빙교수가 '창조경제와 출판'에 대해, 김기덕 건국대 교수가 '문화융성과 출판'에 대해 주제발표를 진행했다. 본지에서는 김기덕 교수가 주제 발표한 내용을 요약 게재한다.

한국출판문화산업진흥원(원장)은 지난 1월 30일 국립중앙도서관 국제회의장에서 '출판을 말한다, 그리고 바란다' 라는 주제로 포럼을 개최했다. 이날 포럼은 부길만 동원대학교 교수의 사회로 진행됐으며, 이재호 원장이 '2013년을 출판 르네상스의 원년으로' 에 대해, 김민웅 성공회대 교수가 '책 읽는 나라, 책을 소중히 여기는 나라를 만들 수 있는가' 에 대해 주제발표를 진행했다. 본지에서는 김민웅 교수가 주제발표한 내용을 게재한다.

대용량 석탄화력발전소는 크게 보일러와 터빈으로 구성되며 이를 제어하기 위한 보일러 주제어기와 터빈 주제어기가 있다. 국내 대용량 석탄화력발전소에서는 외국 분산제어설비제작사의 제어 알고리즘을 사용하고 있는데 본 논문에서는 국내기술로 개발하고 있는 전체 알고리즘 중에서 터빈 주제어기 생성에 대해 간략히 기술하였다. 터빈 주제어기 알고리즘은 보일러 주제어기가 보일러 압력을 제어하는 동안 보일러 주제어기와 협조하여 발전기 출력을 제어한다. 이번에 개발하는 알고리즘은 국내기술로 개발 중인 분산제어시스템에 장착하여 신뢰성을 검증한 후 실제로 운용 중인 발전소에 설치할 계획이다.
