Effects of fruit body characteristics of Lentinula edodes according to irradiation intensity of the green LED with sawdust substrate cultivation (표고 톱밥배지 재배시 녹색LED 광량이 자실체 생육에 미치는 영향)

  • In previous studies, we selected the green LED(light emitting diodes) for suitable wavelength of the light by higher commercial yields and lower ratio of the abnormal fruit body in Lentinula edodes. In this study, we aimed to select efficient irradiation intensity of the green LED. Stronger irradiation intensity of the green LED resulted in more polyphenol content of fruit body. And Polyphenol content of fluorescent lamp was similar to that of the green LED $20umol{\cdot}m^{-2}{\cdot}s^{-1}$.. Ergosterol content of the green LED $5umol{\cdot}m^{-2}{\cdot}s^{-1}$ was showed higher 2.1 times than that of the fluorescent lamp. In four level of irradiation intensity, 5, 10, 15, $20umol{\cdot}m^{-2}{\cdot}s^{-1}$ there was no big difference in characteristics of the fruit body. However the yield of fruit body in the green LED $5umol{\cdot}m^{-2}{\cdot}s^{-1}$ is higher than the others. In addition, The amount of electricity used of the green LED $5umol{\cdot}m^{-2}{\cdot}s^{-1}$ was reduced 15.9% than that of the fluorescent lamp. In conclusion, we selected $5umol{\cdot}m^{-2}{\cdot}s^{-1}$ for suitable irradiation intensity in Lentinula edodes with sawdust substrate cultivation.

  • '2010 대한민국 녹색에너지대전'이 지식경제부 주최, 에너지관리공단 주관으로 지난 10월 13일부터 16일까지 4일간 서울 삼성동 코엑스홀에서 개최되었다. 올해로 30번째를 맞이한 대한민국 녹색에너지대전은 그 어느 해보다 의미가 크다고 할 수 있다. 30년이라는 긴 역사에 걸맞게 LG전자 현대중공업 삼성중공업 OCI 효성 등 대한민국을 대표하는 에너지 관련 기업들이 대거 참여하였고, 정부가 2010년까지 온실가스 배출전망량(BAU) 대비 30% 감축하겠다는 목표를 제시함은 물론 그에 맞춰 에너지온실가스 목표관리제가 도입돼 에너지 절약에 대한 관심이 그 어느 때보다 높기 때문이다. 더욱이 올해 처음 개최되는 신재생에너지대전이 함께 열리면서 참가기업이 251개, 총 1,008개 부스로 확대되었고, 에너지 효율 향상에 관한 대표적 프로젝트로 성장하고 있는 ESCO 산업 특별 테마관이 마련되기도 하였다. ESCO 산업 특별 테마관은 국내 ESCO 업체인 삼성에버랜드 LIG엔설팅 금호이엔지 에너지솔루션즈 지멘스 테크윈 등이 직접 참여하여 최신 기술과 정보를 전달하고 관련 상담을 진행하였다. 또한 최근 각광을 받고 있는 LED 고효율 조명관을 특별 조성해 국가 경제의 차세대 성장동력인 친환경 조명기술을 선보이기도 했다.

Quality Characteristics of Pleurotus eryngii Cultivated with Different Wavelength of LED Lights (LED광의 파장을 달리하여 재배한 새송이버섯의 품질특성)

  • The effect of the wavelength of the light emitted by the light-emitting diode (LED) on the growth characteristics and physicochemical and sensory qualities of Pleurotus eryngii were investigated. Pleurotus eryngii were grown under different light sources: blue light (450 nm), red light (650 nm), green light (525 nm), UV-A (365 nm), and mixed light ($B^*R$, $B^*G$, $R^*G$, $B^*R^*G^*UV-A$). The quantity of LED light was set up at 50% (LED: 64.9-108.0 $pmolm-2{\cdot}s-1$;fluorescentlight:11.7lux). Fluorescent light was used as control. There were no significant differences in the flesh firmness. In the case of the Pleurotuseryngii cultivated under red, green, and mixed light ($R^*G$), the color of the pileus and the length of the stipe were similar to those of the control group. The sensory scores were not significantly different between the LED lights (red, green, and $R^*G$) and the control. Among the three LED light conditions, the sample cultivated under red light recorded the highest score. The samples under UV-A, blue, and mixed light ($B^*R$, $B^*G$, $B^*R^*G^*U$) had a dark pileus color and had a short stipe. These results showed that the wavelength of LED light affected the growth and quality characteristics of Pleurotus eryngii, and that using red LED light is preferable for the cultivation of Pleurotus eryngii with better quality.

Neoliberal Energy Policy and the Limits to 'Green Growth' (신자유주의적 에너지정책과 '녹색성장'의 한계)

  • The current government tries to pursue a series of energy plans and strategies which have been recently established under the banner of 'green growth'. Although there have been several critical comments on the energy policy, the structural background under which the energy policy has been established and implemented has not yet been scrutinized. This paper understands the current government's strategy for 'green growth' and energy policy as a process of neoliberalization. In particular, the energy policy is characterized as industrialization, marketization, technologization, and financialization of energy, which bring about a lot of detailed issues. This kind of 'green growth' strategy is far from the model of sustainable development, and rather seems to be well interpreted in terms of what Harvey calls 'accumulation by dispossession'. As the government's strategy for 'green growth' and energy policy denies the roll of citizens and civil society which would mediate and arbitrate the contradiction between environment preservation and economic growth, and conflicts between market mechanism and state intervention, so alternatives to the 'green growth' strategy should be orientated to a citizen-participating and civil society-led energy policy.

  • 최근 10여년 사이에 III-nitride 화합물 반도체가 전 세계적으로 주목을 받고 있다. 이는 질화물의 조성에 따라 자외선 영역에서 가시 광선의 전 파장, 측 자색에서 적색 영역대의 광소자 및 고온 고출력 전자소자에 쓰일 수 있기 때문이다. 지금까지 고휘도의 청색, 녹색 LED(Light Emitting Diode)는 상용화되어 있어, UC LD(Ultra-Violet Laser Diode)는 10,000 시간 상온 연속 발진에 성공하여 상용화의 단계에 이르고 있다. 그러나 많은 연구 투입에 비례하여 얻어지는 결과물의 효율은 그리 높지 않은 분야로 LED를 수준 급으로 상용화하는 곳은 세계에서 5개정도로 국한되면, 그 기술이 전파됨이 그리 쉽지 않다. LD(laser Diode)의 경우 상용화 초기 단계로 보편적 신뢰성을 확보하기까지는 또 다른 breakthrough 확보가 필요하며, 궁극적인 기술 전개는 기판을 해결하는 것에서 올 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 III-nitride 반도체 소자 개발을 가능하게 한 MOCVD(Metaloganic Chemical Vapor Deposition) 결정 성장 방법과, 기존에 사용화 되어 있는 LED 소자 특성 및 국내외 개발 동향 및 향후 발전 방향을 소개하고자 한다.

  • LED lighting, which many companies are pursuing commercialization, is a representative green energy technology. However, the LED lighting for broadcasting image should have high output and easy portability compared with general LED lighting devices for street lamps, advertisement or transportation devices. Therefore, while shooting a broadcast image if you use LEDs as a substitute light source for halogen lamps and fluorescent lamps that are large in size and uncomfortable to handle it is expected that the lightening of the equipment will activate the broadcasting image lighting equipment industry. After considering the mass production of the LED module board and the SMT production size of the chip mounter, the board size was determined considering the overall size of the product by model. In this paper, four 20W LED boards are arranged vertically in order to produce an 80W board. In other words, by sharing LED module board size by model, high power LED lighting equipments of 120W and 200W can be selected as an increase in the number of boards.

  • LEDs are using widely in a field of illumination, LCD LED backlight, mobile signals because they have several merits, such as low power consumption, long lifetime, high brightness, fast response, environment friendly. To achieve high performance LEDs, one needs to enhance output power, reduce operation voltage, and improve device reliability. In this paper, we have proposed that the optimum design and specialized process could improve the performance of LED chip. It was showed an output power of 7cd and input supplied voltage of 3.2V by the insertion technique of current blocking layer. In this paper, GaN-based LED chip which is built on the sapphire epi-wafer by selective MOCVD were designed and developed. After that, their performances were measured. It showed the output power of 7cd more than conventional GaN-based chip. It will be used the lighting source of a medical equipment and LCD LED TV with GaN-based LED chip.

  • A LED (light emitting diode) was attached inside the cold $(4^{\circ}C)$ compartment of a home refrigerator to investigate a possible effect on freshness prolongation of cabbage over 10 d of storage. The LED increased chlorophyll synthesis, inhibited vitamin C degradation and increased the content of phenolics, compared to values measured in cabbages stored in an identical refrigerator without the LED. In the refrigerator with the LED, the color of cabbage leaves remained green for a period fourfold longer than that seen in a conventional refrigerator. Vitamin C content was twice that of a conventionally stored cabbage, and phenolic consent was 14% higher in the LED-illuminated vegetables.

  • This study uses the LEAP model that is a long-term energy analysis model to analyze reduction potential on S city residential sector energy usage for greenhouse gas emission. Energy consumption of S-si in 2009 is consumed most in residential and commerce sector by 39.1%. Also, energy and greenhouse gas emission of residential sector is expected to increase due to increase of households. Therefore, greenhouse gas reduction measures are desperately required in residential sector. For this study recognizes energy consumption of S-si residential sector and has established reduction measure of S-si residential sector greenhouse gas through literature search on domestic and foreign climate change correspondence policies. Also, construction of greenhouse gas reduction potential by reduction measures through LEAP model. There were a total of 5 reduction measures scenarios is Reference Scenario, LED Lighting, Energy Alternative, Green Life Practice, and Total Reduction Measure. As a result, greenhouse gas emission of Light Emitting Diode Lightings by 2020 was $1,181.0thousand\;tonCO_2eq$, decrease of 6.1% compared to the Reference Scenario and Greenhouse gas emission of Energy Alternative by 2020 was $1,171.6thousand\;tonCO_2eq$, decrease of 6.8% compared to the Reference Scenario. Greenhouse gas emission of Green Life Practice by 2020 was $1,128.7thousand\;tonCO_2eq$, decrease of 10.2% compared to the Reference Scenario. For Total Reduction Measures by 2020 emission was $966.9thousand\;tonCO_2eq$, decrease 23.1% compared to Reference Scenario.

  • In this paper, we installed three high brightness red, green, and blue LED in one socket and made one pixel unit. And we also developed the full-color display board module and control unit which can express various images such as text, graphics, video image with the combination of pixel units and a number of modules. LED display driver module have a driver circuit within the combination of the RGB pixel dot on unit area. These modules of the existing form can be high priced because of implementation a fixed resolution in specific space and installation space. To overcome these shortcomings, we developed a LED driver and LED pixel modules free in array at random pitch intervals. Display board module of this paper enabled to display smoothly video image which have many data processing quantity through dragging data speed up 36 frames per second. Also there are an effect which is provided more clear image because of improving the flickering of the existing display board.
