A Scheme of Access Network Management in Convergence Networks (융합망에서 액세스 네트워크 관리 방안)

  • The B3G networks that provide the internetworking techniques of heterogeneous network systems and services are constructed to support various service requirements of mobile users. In this paper, we represent the internetworking scheme of heterogeneous networks systems such like UMTS and WLAN which can be used as access networks, and illustrate the service providing of each network system and the internetworking service based on heterogeneous access networks. UMTS and WLAN can provide each proper service to mobile users, and is included to B3G networks to increase the service usage effectiveness by using complementary service for mobile users.

  • In this paper, performance of MAP management system traffic is analyzed, to realize the network management function in automated manufacturing network mini-MAP. The network management system, which controls and supervises the network resources in the communication network, is the function that is necessarily required in this network. Since the real time response must be required in the Mini-MAP network, the delay performance of the network needs to be analyzed. By means of both analytical method and simulation for cyclic queueing model, the delay time distributions due to the increasement of transmission data are obtained in the implemented management network where SLAM II package is used for simulation. In addition, the parameters of the management function affecting the transmission delay are considered so that these parameters can be used to implement network management system.

  • It is not future story that host mobility in wireless network. We already have many devices which can access network among moving our locations. Internet protocol is extended to support not only host mobility but also network mobility. But nesting mobile networks and mobile hosts, there is a problem that routing path of packet becomes complex. By sequential tunneling on outgoing packet at mobile router and toward mobile network at correspondent node, it can be setting up direct path in nested mobile network environment. In this paper, we propose a method for delivering packet through optimized path by sequential tunneling. And evaluate this method by equations and simulations.

  • The sensor networks should be appropriately designed by applied network purpose, so that they can support proper application functions. Based on the design of suitable network model, the network lifetime can be maximized than using other general strategies which have not the consideration of specific network environments. In this paper, we propose a non-deterministic agent scheme to the mobile sink in distributed wireless sensor networks. The sensor network area can be divided into several sensor regions. Hence, to these such networks, the specified suitable scheme is requested by the applied network model to implement satisfactory network management. In this paper, we theoretically represent the proposed scheme, and provide the evaluation with the simulation results.

  • This paper aims at analyzing the role of Korean ethnic network in the settlement process of Korean immigrants, and elucidating their utilization measures, through the case Study of Korean Immigrants in LA. The main results of this study are as follows. Firstly, the majority of respondents used Korean ethnic networks and Korean town in the immigration process. According to the results of ANOVA test, Korean ethnic network are more importantly considered by the groups such as elderly, livers in Korean town, and people who the first settlement was LA. Secondly, respondents more frequently use Korean ethnic network in the activities such as church, shopping and business. Especially, the groups such as short immigration term, elderly, poor English ability are more frequently use Korean ethnic network. Thirdly, Viewing the cognition of respondents about the necessity of Korean ethnic networks, respondents want to use them for strengthening the ties of domination society. Finally, utilization of Korean ethnic churches, Korean ethnic business organizations and Korean ethnic web-site portal are proposed for activating Korean ethnic networks.

Influence of Innovator or Hub in Relational Network to Early Takeoff and Diffusion Size at Takeoff (관계네트워크의 정보 확산에서 혁신자와 허브가 Early Takeoff와 확산크기에 미치는 영향 연구)

  • This study is identifying early takeoff phenomenon in relational network like SNS and investigates influence of innovator or hub at early takeoff and diffusion size at takeoff point. The major finding of this study are as follows. First, multinominal-logit analysis conducted to explore the impact of innovator and hub at early stage of information diffusion and early takeoff. Hub in early stage of information diffusion impact early takeoff. Second, our study shows that innovator and hub at early stage of information diffusion impact diffusion size at takeoff point. Third, hub is more impact early takeoff and diffusion size at takeoff point then innovator. This study provides implication for professionals by confirming hub's influence in study of successful information diffusion by early takeoff. The limitation and future direction are discussed.

Methodology for the efficiency of routing summary algorithms in discontiguous networks (Discontiguous Network에서 라우팅 축약 알고리즘의 효율화에 대한 방법론)

  • In this paper, we consider the efficiency of the scheme for for routing summary algorithms in discontiguous networks. Router than updating and transmitting the entire subnet information in the routing protocol, only the shortened update information is sent and the routing table is shortened to make the router resources more efficient and improve network stability and performance. However, if a discontiguous network is formed in the network design process, a problem arises due to the network contraction function and does not bring about the result of fundamental router efficiency. Using different major networks subnets one major network, causing problems in communication and routing information exchange if the configuration is incorrect. The algorithm proposed in this paper removes only the auto-summary algorithm from the existing algorithm, which increases the complexity and stability of the routing table and reduces the CPU utilization of network equipment from 16.5% to 6.5% Confirmed.

  • In this research, we investigated users' social capital and subjective well-being in social network games. We had Focus Group Interview(FGI) and analyzed the interview data. Our finding is that the social capital was either decreasing or slightly increasing only between acquaintances, with the subjective well-being increasing, affected by the users' achievements, continuous caring, and interaction with NPCs, while not affected by the social capital. Our research also found the independent increase of subjective well being, not being affected by the increase of social capital.

  • Recently, the patterns of cyber attack through internet have been various and have become more complicated and thus it is difficult to detect a network intruder effectively and to response the intrusion quickly. Therefore, It is almost not possible to chase the real location of a network intruder and to isolate the Intruder from network in UDP based DoS or DDoS attacks spoofing source IP address and in TCP based detour connection attacks. In this paper, we propose active security architecture on active network to correspond to various cyber attacks promptly. Security management framework is designed using active technology, and security control mechanism to chase and isolate a network intruder is implemented. We also test the operation of the active security mechanism implemented on test_bed according to several attack scenarios and analyze the experiment results.

  • Networked Virtual Reality systems provide a consistent virtual world to the users, possibly ditributed across long distance, and have been widely applied in the military war game, network game. edutainment, architectural areas, and shopping mall etc. Large processing requirements. however. made these systems be mainly researched on the platforms of high-performence system graphics workstations. This study paper Presents several problems when networked virtual reality systems are implemented on commodity Internet : two problems related with 3D graphical Processing, and the other related with network bandwidth and transmission delay. We also suggest solutions to these problems and analyze their performance effect based on an architectural simulation application.
