A Proposal for Unit Testing Procedure of Embedded Software Complied with Safety Assessment Criteria (안정성평가 기준에 적합한 내장형 소프트웨어 단위시험 절차 방안)

  • Recently, an important physical device of transportation, such as car, railroad, ship and aircraft has changed into electronic control unit. According to accident reports, the most of car accidents are caused by faults of embedded software loaded to computer control unit. The facts implies that the test to find defects in embedded software haven't performed sufficiently. As a result, it is necessary to establish the test procedures of embedded software based on safety assessment criteria. The objective of this proposal is to provide a unit test procedure complied with the safety assessment criteria for the embedded software. In addition, an effective unit testing procedure and defect analysis methods are proposed and a testing procedure using a safety criteria built-in tool is presented.

Flight Demonstration Test of a Smart Skin Antenna for Communication and Navigation (통신 항법용 스마트 스킨 안테나의 비행데모시험)

  • This paper suggests an installation procedure of a smart skin prototype into an aircraft, flight demonstration test procedures and test results. Four communication and navigation antennas are embedded into one Conformal Load-bearing Antenna Structure(CLAS). Log periodic patch type antenna was designed as a multi-band antenna to cover four antenna frequency bands. The requirements of CLAS were verified by ground tests before aircraft installation. A CLAS speed-brake was installed into KT-1 aircraft and performances of dual antennas were verified as multi-antenna tests on the ground. Electromagnetic compatibility tests were conducted to check compatibility between the CLAS and all existing equipments. Flight demonstration tests were conducted by one sortie of flight test for one antenna. The activeness and continuity of communication and navigation signal during the flight, null area of antenna signal along the circling flight were monitored. The embedded antennas worked better than expected during four sorties of flight tests.

  • 전자 의료기기는 이를 제어하는 의료용 소프트웨어의 발전과 더불어 성장해 왔으며 소프트웨어를 배제한 전자 의료기기는 생각하기 어려운 실정이다. 특히, 의료기기 내장형 소프트웨어는 인간의 생명과 직결되는 의료기기를 제어하는 소프트웨어이기 때문에 의료용 소프트웨어의 품질에 지대한 영향을 받게 되었다. 따라서, 의료용 소프트웨어의 품질 향상을 통해 의료 서비스의 질적 수준을 제고할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 ISO/IEC 12119를 기반으로 의료기기 내장형 소프트웨어를 시험하여 결과를 산출할 수 있는 시험모듈과 검사표를 개발하여 의료용 소프트웨어 시험에 적용할 수 있도록 하였다.

Ground Test & Evaluation of Conformal Load-bearing Antenna Structure for Communication and Navigation (통신 항법용 다중대역 안테나 내장 스킨구조의 지상시험평가)

  • This paper suggests a test and evaluation procedure of conformal load-bearing antenna structure(CLAS) for high speed military jet application. A log periodic patch type antenna was designed for multi-band communication and navigation antenna. Carbon/Glass fiber reinforced polymer was used as a structure supporting aerodynamic loads and honeycomb layer was used to improve antenna performance. Multi-layers were stacked and cured in a hot temperature oven. Gain, VSWR and polarization pattern of CLAS were measured using anechoic chamber within 0.15~2.0 GHz frequency range. Tension, shear, fatigue and impact load test were performed to evaluate structural strength of CLAS. Antenna performance test after every structural strength test was conducted to check the effect of structural test to antenna performance. After the application of new test and evaluation procedure to validate a new CLAS, a design improvement was found.

  • 내장형 시스템용 웹 서버는 일반 웹 서버와는 매우 다른 요구 사항을 가지고 있다. 예를 들어 작은 메모리의 사용, 특수 목적으로 정의된 정적 및 동적 페이지의 제공, 웹 서버 내부에 기본 시스템 및 네트워크 관리 기능의 내장, 내장형 응용 프로그램과 웹 서버와의 유연한 연결 그리고 다양한 내장형 프로세서의 지원 등의 요구 사항이 있다. 본 논문은 이러한 내장형 시스템용 웹 서버의 요구 사항을 기술하고, 이들 요구 사항을 바탕으로 우리 고유의 내장형 웹 서버인 "웹박스(Webox)"를 설계하고 내장형 리눅스 개발 환경에서 이를 구현하는 방법을 기술한다. 현재 내장형 웹 서버 웹박스의 알파 버전이 개발되어 시험 중이며 최종 결과물이 완성되면 공개 소프트웨어로 오픈할 예정이다.

  • 산업이 발달하고 전력소비의 경향이 고밀도화 되면서, 전력계통이 대용량화 초고압화 되어가고 있다. 이러한 전력 기술 동향에 대처하기 위해서 모든 전기부품들이 소형화 및 절연능력 향상이라는 두 가지의 기술상의 요구가 필수적으로 요구되고 있다. 또한 계통의 안정성을 확보하기 위해 활선상태에서의 전력계통 감시에 대한 필요성 역시 증대되고 있다. 이러한 요인을 충족시키기 위하여 전압검출 기능을 내장한 에폭시 부싱을 개발중에 있으며, 그 성능을 검증, 향상시키기 위한 작업을 수행하였다. 본 시험에서는 전기적 절연물로 사용되고 있는 에폭시 부싱에 관한 성능평가 시험을 수행 하였으며, 하계 학술대회에 그 내용을 일부 발표하였다. 본 논문은 전압검출기능을 내장한 에폭시 부싱의 특성 시험 수행결과중 추가로 평가된 부분을 서술하였다.

A Study on the Fire Safety of a Hybrid Composite Train Carbody (하이브리드 복합재 철도차량 차체의 화재 안전성 평가연구)

  • This paper explains fire safety tests of a hybrid composite train carbody with carbon/epoxy sandwich bodyshell and stainless steel underframe. In this study, a large scale mock-up was used to evaluate the fire safety of the composite train carbody. The test was conducted to the bare composite carbody mock-up without interior facilities and the fully equipped one. Tile fire propagation and temperature distribution of the carbon/epoxy bodyshell and the glass phenol interior panels was evaluated under the real fire accident scenario. The test scenario was based on the DaeGu subway fire accident. From the tests, both the surface temperature of the interiors and the composite bodyshell wore lower than tile ignition temperature. In addition, the fire spread along the surface of the interiors and bodyshell was not occurred.

Study on the Direct Tensile Test for Cemented Soils Using a Built-In Cylinder (내장형 실린더를 이용한 시멘트 고결토의 인장시험 방법에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, a cylinder embedded within cemented soils was used to cause directly tensile failure of cemented soils. An existing dumbbell type direct tensile test and a split tensile test that is most general indirect tensile test were also carried out to verify the developed built-in cylinder tensile test. Testing specimens with two different sand/cement ratios (1:1 and 3:1) and two curing periods (7 and 28 days) were prepared and tested. Total 10 specimens were prepared for each case and their average value was evaluated. Unconfined compression tests were also carried out and the ratio of compressive strength and tensile strength was evaluated. The tensile strength determined by built-in cylinder tensile test was slightly higher than that by dumbbell type direct tensile test. The dumbbell type test has often failed in joint part of specimen and showed some difficulty to prepare a specimen. Among three tensile testing methods, the standard deviation of tensile strength by split tensile test was highest. It was shown that the split tensile test is applicable to concrete or rock with elastic failure but not for cemented soils having lower strength.

  • 산업용 소프트웨어의 유형은 크게 패키지형, 내장형, 시스템형으로 구분할 수 있다. 패키지형 소프트웨어는 산업용 ERP를 의미하며, 내장형 소프트웨어는 산업용 기기에 내장되어 사용되고, 시스템형은 제조 및 생산 시스템의 전반적인 제어를 위한 소프트웨어이다. 본 연구에서는 산업용 내장형 소프트웨어를 대상으로 하여 품질시험 및 평가를 수행할 수 있는 평가모듈의 개발에 관해 기술하였다. 평가모듈의 객관성 및 타당성을 제고하기 위해서는 국제표준을 기반으로 한 체계 구축이 필수적이다. 관련된 국제표준으로는 소프트웨어 제품의 요구사항 및 평가에 관한 표준인 ISO/IEC 12119와 9126이 있으며, 평가모듈의 구성 형식을 규정하고 있는 ISO/IEC 14598-6이 있다. 이러한 표준들을 기반으로 하여 산업용 내장형 소프트웨어의 품질 요구사항을 추출하고 품질 요구의 만족 수준을 평가할 수 있는 평가 모듈을 구축하였다.

Embedding Built-in Tests in Hot Spots of an Object-Oriented Framework (객체지향 프레임웍의 Hot Spot에 Built-in Tests를 내장하는 방법)

  • Object-oriented frameworks need to be systematically tested because they are reused in developing many applications software. They also need additional testing whenever they are extended for reuse. Frameworks, however, have properties that make it difficult to control and observe the testing of the parts that were modified and extended. In this paper, we describe the method of embedding test components as BIT(Built-In Test) into the framework's hot spots in order to efficiently detect the faults through testing that occurred while implementing application programs by modifying and extending the framework. The test components embedded into a framework make it easy to control and observe testing the framework, and thereby improve the testability of frameworks. Test components designed by the method proposed in this paper can be dynamically attached and detached to/from hot spots of a framework without changes or intervention to the framework code.
