회주철의 접종효과에 미치는 S의 영향 (Influence of Sulfur on the Inoculation Effect of Gray Cast Iron)

  • The effect of sulfur content and inoculant on solidification microstructure and mechanical properties of gray cast iron have been investigated. The main results obtained are as follows, 1. In the FeSi3Ca1Ba inoculated irons, with the variation of sulfur content, low sulfur levels (${\sim}0.03%$) yield low chill depth, high tensile strength, good wear resistance and type A graphite with a pearlite matrix. High sulfur levels( >0.08%) provide high chill depth, low mechanical proper ties and type D graphite with small amount ferrite. 2. In case of inoculant variation with normal FeSi, FeSi3Ca1Ba, 30CaSi and uninoculation at 0.03%S level, lower chill depth and higher tensile strength was obtained in the order ; 30CaSi, FeSi3Ca1Ba normal FeSi, uninoculation.

  • In this paper, we have designed and fabricated 7-bands (GSM 850/900, DCS/PCS, and UMTS 3 bands) LTCC front end module (FEM) embedded LPF (low pass filter) to efficiently eliminate harmonics generated in TX path. The proposed FEM is composed of flip-chip typed CMOS SP9T switch to select transceiver signals, dual type SAW filters to receive Rx signals, and 0603 size chip components for the antenna matching and ESD protection. The whole size of FEM is $4.5{\times}3.2{\times}1.2mm^3$. The insertion loss of Tx and Rx ports are measured at 1.7 dB and 4.8 dB, respectively.

Mg-Li-AI-Zr 합금의 시효거동 (Aging Behaviors of a Mg-Li-AI-Zr Alloy)

  • Zr이 0.03wt%함유된 Mg-8.14Li-3.93AI 합금의 시효거동을 미소경도와 미세조직의 변화, 열분석 등으로 조사하였다. Zr의 첨가로 인하여 3원계 Mg-8.23Li-4.02A에 비하여 조직이 미세화되었으며 모든 시효조건에서 경도값이 높게 나타났다. 열분석결과 발열피크는 준안정 석출상인 MgLi2AI($\theta$)의 석출과 $\theta$상에서 안정상인 AILi으로의 변화와 관련된 것이고, 흡열피크는 $\theta$와 AILi상의 재용해에 대응되는 것으로 판단되었다. 피크 경도값(103Hv)은 $\theta$의 석출이 완료되는 393K에서 0.5시간 시효시 나타났으며 피크 경도조건에서의 미세조건은 $\beta$기지에 $\theta$와 AILi상이 공존하고 있음을 투과식 전자현미경으로 확인하였다.

  • Effects of temperature on the tensile properties of annealed and hydirded Zircaloy-4 plate in which hydrides are precitated paralled to the rolling direction were investigated. The main results obtained are as follows : 1) In annealed Zircaloy-4, yield point phenomenon was found in the temperature range of $200-550^{\circ}C$, while in hydrided alloy the phenomenon was found in the range of $200-400^{\circ}C$. 2) The dynamic strain aging behavior was occurd in the temperature interval of 400-$550^{\circ}C$in both annealed and hydrided Zircaloy-4. 3) The nearly values of yield strength, tensile stength and elongation are obtained in both annealed and hydried Zircaloy-4. From this result, we are led to conclude that the hydrides which are preiptated parallel to the circumferenial direction of nucler fuel are not so harmful for tensile properties of the clad.

  • Base isolation bearings are known as an effective system to Protect bridges from the earthquake damage. There are many types of base isolation bearings in the market. Among them, steel hysteretic damper, made of mild steel and one of the oldest ones, has some good features. Since steel hysteretic damper is made of steel and has simple structure, it is cheeper and easier to maintain than other types. Despite the advantages, steel hysteretic damper with pin-type elements has no application in Korea. The steel hysteretic damper with pin-type elements are tested to examin the basic characteristics and to evaluate antiseismic performance. In this paper, the results of the test are presented.

  • Recent public concern about air pollution caused by swine production facilities has forced to develop the methods to reduce and control the swine odors. Swine odors were affected the life of pig farm neighborhoods, swine productivity, pig health, diseases, and human right, safety, sanity as negatively. The first approaches of control of swine odors are the change or improve of the classical management systems, which are manure treatment method, manure storage facility, phase feeding, sex-divided feeding, feeder type, liquid-slurry feeding, environment control of swine building and dust control of indoor swine facility. The methods to control odor emission from manure have to include the diet modification as nutritional basis. In recent, research emphasis has focused on manipulating the swine diet to increase the nutrient utilization of the diet to reduce excretion products and reduction of odors. There are lots of feed additives and pit additives introduced as practical basis for reducing odor emissions. The ozone treatment method is candidate as the good system for reducing swine odor. But this system is still too expensive to practice in present.

  • Effects of oxide film which is grown by heat treatment on the hydrogen embrittlement (HE) of 17-4 PH stainless steel were investigated. Specimems were tensile tested after cathodic hydrogen charging and the be haviors of HE were evaluated from the elongation change. It was found that specimems solution treated at $1040^{\circ}C$ for 1/2hour showed best retardation ability to HE for both aging conditions i.e. $480^{\circ}C{\times}1hr$ and $620^{\circ}C{\times}4hrs$. X-ray and Auger study revealed that the major composition of oxide films are $Cr_2O_3$ and $CuCr_2O_4$.

마르텐사이트계 스테인레스강의 기계적 성질에 미치는 침탄처리의 영향 (Influence of Carburizing on the Mechanical Properties of Martensitic Stainless Steel)

  • Carburizing of a 12%Cr steel containing 0.6%Si was performed at 950$^{\circ}C$ for various times, and the microstructure, hardness and the water characteristics of the carburized chromium steel were examined. The results obtained in this study are as follows: 1. Carbide-dispersed layer (CD layer) with fine dispersion of $Cr_7C_3$ in martensite matrix was formed by carburizing. The radius and amount of the carbides in the surface region of CD layer were about 0.3${\mu}m$ and 35% by volume, respectively. 2. Chromium steel carburized and quench-tempered showed better wear resistance and hardness than ordinary high chromium tool steel. It is concluded from these results that fine dispered carbides are very effective in improving wear resistance and hardness.

  • 7050AI합금의 미세조직 및 기계적성질에 미치는 2단시효처리의 영향을 투과전자현미경, 열분석, 경도시험 및 인장 시험을 통하여 조사하였다. 12$0^{\circ}C$에서 6시간 1차 시효처리한 후 1$65^{\circ}C$와 175$^{\circ}C$에서 2차 시효처리하였을때 1$65^{\circ}C$에서는 6시간 시효시 최대경도값 201.3Hv를 나타내었고, 175$^{\circ}C$에서는 3시간 시효처리하였을때 최대경도값 197Hv를 나타내었다.

  • 최근 국내에서는 "특별회계 및 기금 정비방안"에 관한 공청회가 열리는 등 공공기관에 의한 기금 및 적립금의 목적과 운용 행태에 대한 관심이 촉발되고 있다. 그러나 공공경제학을 공부하는 이들에게 중앙은행의 적립금은 별 관심의 대상이 아니었다. 다분히 실험적 연구의 성격을 띤 본 논문은 61개국 자료를 이용하여 각국 중앙은행이 내부 유보한 적립금이 통화정책 당국의 재량권확대 유인과 밀접한 관련이 있음을 보인다. 구체적으로 통화정책에 있어서 통화당국 관료의 재량권 여지가 큰 중앙은행 대출이 적립금과 직접적인 관계가 있음을 실증분석을 통해 검증한다. 한국의 경우, 이미 김인배 외(2001)에서 중앙은행 적립금이 중앙은행 대출과 관련이 있음을 보였던바, 이를 국제자료를 통해 확인함으로써 중앙은행 적립금의 성격과 의미를 재고하며 동시에 가설의 일반화를 시도한다.
