This study designed a mediating pathways models to examine the theory, 'the influence of attachment relationship between adolescents and their parents affects on adolescents' psycho-social adjustment through the mediating variable of optimism'. Authors tried to examine if this theory is applied to group-home adolescents who live with surrogate care-givers instead of their parents. For this study, two models, 'Psychological Adjustment Model' and 'Social Adjustment Model' were constructed. Each model has path, 'Attachment with Care-givers → Psychological Adjustment' and ''Attachment with Care-givers → Social Adjustment' respectively. 'Optimism' is mediating variable in between these two variables. The results were very clear. In two models, no direct effects from 'Attachment' to 'Psychological Adjustment' and from 'Attachment' to 'Social Adjustment' were found. However, indirect effects from 'Attachment' to 'Psychological Adjustment' and from 'Attachment' to 'Social Adjustment' were statistically significant through the mediating variable of 'Optimism'. This study suggests that more research on 'Optimism' which has not been focused among social welfare researchers needs to be followed.

The coupling between different models for MDO (Multi-disciplinary Optimization) greatly increases the complexity of the computational framework, while at the same time increasing CPU time and memory usage. To overcome these difficulties, POD (Proper Orthogonal Decomposition) and RBF (Radial Basis Function) are used to solve the optimization problem of determining the thickness of composites and sandwich cores when composite sandwich structures are used as aircraft wing skin materials. POD and RBF are used to construct surrogate models for the wing shape and the load data. Optimization is performed using the objective function and constraint function values which are obtained from the surrogate models.

As the size of the web is growing explosively, search engines are becoming increasingly important as the primary means to retrieve information from the Internet. A search engine periodically downloads web pages and stores them in the database to provide readers with up-to-date search results. The web crawler is a program that downloads and stores web pages for this purpose. A large-scale search engines uses a parallel web crawler to retrieve the collection of web pages maximizing the download rate. However, the service architecture or experimental analysis of parallel web crawlers has not been fully discussed in the literature. In this paper, we propose an architecture of the parallel web crawler and discuss implementation issues in detail. The proposed parallel web crawler is based on the coordinator/agent model using multiple machines to download web pages in parallel. The coordinator/agent model consists of multiple agent machines to collect web pages and a single coordinator machine to manage them. The parallel web crawler consists of three components: a crawling module for collecting web pages, a converting module for transforming the web pages into a database-friendly format, a ranking module for rating web pages based on their relative importance. We explain each component of the parallel web crawler and implementation methods in detail. Finally, we conduct extensive experiments to analyze the effectiveness of the parallel web crawler. The experimental results clarify the merit of our architecture in that the proposed parallel web crawler is scalable to the number of web pages to crawl and the number of machines used.

The consolidants have been widely used for the consolidation of decaying heritage stone surfaces. In this study, X-ray diffraction analysis, polarized and stereo-microscope and scanning electron microscope were used to study the surface characterization of granite, sandstone and marble, and to assess the efficiency and the effects of the developed condolidants in the field. The developed consolidants used in this experiment are 100%1T1G and 3%40nm/97%1T1G. The effects of consolidants are 3%40nm/97%1T1G${\gg}$100%1T1G in granite, 3%40nm/97%1T1G>100%1T1G in sandstone, and 3%40nm/97% 1T1G=100%1T1G in marble. The characteristics of rock surface when treated with consolidants show different result according to consolidantes type. This result of treating with consolidant can be used for the conservation of an decaying heritage stone.

As hyperspectral sensors that can be mounted on drones are developed, it is possible to acquire hyperspectral imagery with high spatial and spectral resolution. Although the importance of atmospheric correction has been reduced since imagery of drones were acquired at a low altitude,studies on the conversion process from raw data to spectral reflectance should be done for studies such as estimating the concentration of surface materials using hyperspectral imagery. In this study, a vicarious radiometric calibration and an atmospheric correction algorithm based on atmospheric radiation transfer model were applied to hyperspectral data of drone and the results were compared and analyzed. The vicarious calibration method was applied to an empirical line calibration using the spectral reflectance of a tarp made of uniform material. The atmospheric correction algorithm used ATCOR-4 based Modran-5 that was widely used for the atmospheric correction of aerial hyperspectral imagery. As a result of analyzing the RMSE of the difference between the reference reflectance and the correction, the vicarious calibration using the tarp in a single period of hyperspectral image was the most accurate, but the atmospheric correction was possible according to the application purpose of using hyperspectral imagery. If the correction process of normalized spectral reflectance is carried out through the additional vicarious calibration for imagery from multiple periods in the future, accurate analysis using hyperspectral drone imagery will be possible.

(주)한진중공업 컨소시엄 인천공항사업소는 인천국제공항 여객터미널, 탑승동 신축공사에 참여해 사업을 성공적으로 마무리한 데 이어 개항 후에는 공항시설의 유지관리 업무를 맡아 공항의 안정적인 운영에 기여를 하고 있다. 인천국제공항에서 이곳 사업소가 차지하고 있는 비중은 상당하다. 주요 시설물의 관리운영 및 유지보수를 철저히 시행하여 각 시설물들이 완벽한 성능과 기능을 유지토록 하고 있는 것. 사실상 공항 관련기관 관계자 및 상주직원, 공항 이용객 등이 사업소 덕분에 공항을 안전하고 편안하게 이용하고 있다고 해도 과언이 아니다. 빈틈없는 안전관리로 공항을 찾는 사람들에게 행복과 기쁨을 선사하고 있는 이곳 사업소의 안전관리자 박영재 대리를 만나봤다.

(사)한국포장협회(회장 신동호)는 2월 25일 '포장인의 날'을 맞아 제19회 한용교포장인상 시상식을 개최했다. 제19회 한용교포장인상은 일반 부문과 장학생 부문에 대해 수상자를 선정하고 시상했다. 일반 부문 시상식에서는 연구개발 분야에서만 수상자를 2명 선정, (주)태방파텍 연구개발실 김남용 대리와 (주)한두패키지 디자인연구소 김현도 소장이 수상했다. 장학생으로 선정된 수상자는 ▲ 연세대학교 패키징학과 백승혜 ▲ 용인송담대학 유통과 이철 학생이다. 한용교포장인상은 한국포장협회 한용교 명예회장이 희사한 재원으로 포장인들에게 연구의욕을 높이고 자긍심을 고취, 포장산업을 발전시키고자 지난 1996년 제정됐다. 본 고에서는 제19회 한용교포장인상 수상자들의 활약상을 살펴본다.

본지는 대한인쇄문화협회가 지난해 조성한 인쇄역사문화관 개관을 기념해 인쇄업계 경영인 2세들을 초청, 지난 1월8일 문화관 자료실에서 '정보화시대의 인쇄'라는 주제로 특별좌담되를 개최했다. 이날 좌담회에는 신원인쇄사(대표 김정숙) 김승효이사, 홍일문화인쇄사(회장 이연지) 장원혁실장, 성문인쇄사(대표 장현수) 장완호대리, 대양인쇄사(대표 양기성) 양종호과장, 홍보컴(대표 이광옥) 이지훈실장이 참석했으며 본지 유창준 국장의 사회로 진행됐다. 이날 좌담회 참석자는 디지털시대와 코드가 맞는 40대 이하이면서도 입사 기간이 10년이내인 경영인 2세들로 범위를 한정했다.

닭 수정란을 이용한 생명공학 기술은 일반적인 포유류 가축의 수정란에 적용되고 있는 기술과 비교 해 볼 때, 기본적인 배 발생 단계에서부터 개체 탄생에 이르기까지 상당 부분에 걸쳐 상이한 점이 많다. 왜냐하면, 조류는 발생학적 특성상 수정과 초기 배 발생을 제외한 거의 대부분의 개체 발생 과정이 난각 속에서 진행되기 때문이다. 또한, 포유류는 새끼를 낳는 반면, 조류는 몸밖에 알을 낳아 적당한 습도와 온도에서 일정기간 품은 다음 병아리를 부화시키는 동물이다. (중략)
