Using data from 2011 Elderly Living Condition Survey database, this study analyzed risk factors for suicide ideation of Korean elderly persons. The analysis sample consists of 10,003 cases. The main purpose of this research was to explore the effects of social quality factor on suicide ideation of Korean elderly persons. Analysis results show that gender, age, area of residence, living alone, subjective standard of living, activities of daily living(ADLs), and geriatric depression are significant predictors of suicide ideation. Key findings are that social quality factor such as experiencing feeling hurt from others' words and actions like avoiding conversations, disregarding one's opinions, pretending to be not heard, getting irritated, grumbling, etc. has the largest effects on suicide ideation. Analysis results imply that without improving social quality, it would not be possible to lower elderly suicide rate.

Internet purchase is increasing according to the activation of Electronic Commerce. Currently, the hardware is main purchase items in the Electronic commerce. The on-line purchase of digital product, that is electronic file type of product, has many merits such as, does not cost in logistics, is ease of searching the product, and is possible of 'Try and Buy' system. But, actually digital products have not been major proudct because of tits piracy problem. The piracy problem of digital products comes from the lack of safety in DP license control technology. Current EC has no method to identify the object that has the right ot use the digital product. The protecting of object change is impossible and the protection of hacking is not enough and EC has any problems in efficient license control because of the incompletion of EC structure. In this paper, e propose the design and implementation of on-line DP circulation system, which can activate on-line circulation of DP in EC and protect its piracy, by using the new license control technology, that is Dynamic License control technology.

The purpose of this study is to forecast the ship-management market size and to propose a management improvement scheme to support Korean ship management companies in the stagnating world shipping market. Recently, global shipping companies have begun outsourcing all ship management activities. However, the Korean ship-management market represents just 3.75% of ocean shipping companies' sales, making it necessary to enlarge this market. This study performs a business analysis of ship management companies in Korea. The findings show that these companies' profitability and financial structures are not very good, mainly because of insufficient management ability and small firm sizes. Therefore, we propose that the Korean government supports crew training programs and shipping financial systems.

Households are categorized as exceptions in the Fire Services Act; oftentimes, the 'Golden Time' is missed at the early stages of a fire, resulting in loss of life. As such, due to the high number of deaths caused by household fires, the Korean government amended the Fire Services Act to make it mandatory for all detached houses to be equipped with a fire extinguisher from 2017 onwards. Only 34.8% of households were properly equipped with a fire extinguisher, according to the 2018 factual survey on fire extinguishing facilities in households conducted by the Fire Department. Fire extinguishers are crucial in case of fire but many households avoid them because they are red and have a rough aesthetic, which does not suit the household environment. There is now a need for diverse simple fire extinguisher designs so that they can be used as interior décor in the household in the day-to-day while being available for putting out a fire when necessary. If fire extinguishers have designs that go well with any household space like other decorative ornaments, this will greatly increase consumers' motivation to purchase them. It is greatly anticipated that various companies will work on developing designs for fire extinguishers to commercialize them for households in the future.

희귀질환이란 일반적으로 그 유병율이 인구 일만 명당 5명 이하인 질환을 말한다. 세계에는 약 7,000여종의 희귀질환이 알려져 있고 학술지에 매 주 대략 5종의 새로운 희귀질환이 보고되고 있다. 희귀 의약품(orphan drug)이란 희귀질환치료제 또는 수익성이 없어 개발을 기피하는 일반질환 치료제로서 정부가 지정한 의약품을 말한다. Orphan 의약품의 개발에는 많은 장점이 있다. Orphan 의약품으로 정부의 지정을 받으면 세금감면을 통한 연구비 지원, 임상시험 비용 지원, 신약허가 심사비 면제, 시장독점권 부여 등의 특혜가 주어진다. 희귀질환의 대부분은 단순한 유전적 결함에 의하는 경우가 많아 치료제의 표적발견이 비교적 쉬우므로 개발 성공률이 높고, 임상시험기간이 짧으며, 시판허가를 받을 확률이 높아 연구개발비용이 적게 든다. 그 결과 전세계 orphan 의약품 시장은 최근 매년 6%씩 성장하여 2014년에는 약 1,120억달러의 시장을 형성할 것으로 추정된다. Orphan 의약품 시장은 현재 매년 8.9%씩 성장하고 글로벌 시장의 51%를 점유하는 미국을 중심으로 확장되어 가고 있으며, 총매출액의 64.3%가 유전자재조합의약품에 의한 것으로 알려져 있다. 이러한 의약품시장의 변화와 사회적 요구에 부응하여 한국 또한 희귀질환 치료제 개발의 활성화를 위해 재정적 지원체계를 구축하고, 허가관리를 개선하며, 법률적 제도를 완비하는 과정에 있다. 현재 희귀질환의 치료적 타겟을 찾아 신물질이나 기존의 약물을 발굴하는 과정이 주로 대학이나 연구 중심 병원에서 이루어지고 있다. 제도가 잘 정립되어 있는 미국 시장을 겨낭하여 orphan 의약품 개발을 전략적으로 수행한다면 큰 성공을 거둘 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the teacher-students interactions shown in the images of elementary science class by preservice teachers. We applied nine analysis criteria in three domains such as emotional support (climate, regard for student perspectives, teacher sensitivity), classroom organization (instructional learning formats, behavior management, productivity), and instructional support (quality of feedback, language modeling, concept development) in the aspects of positive or negative interactions The results show that majority of student-teachers tended to prefer positive interactions especially regarding instructional learning formats or concept development. For the image of avoided class, they tended to show negative interactions related to instructional learning formats or regard for student perspectives. However, they showed extremely lower frequencies for some categories of negative interactions. Female preservice teachers tended to have slightly higher frequencies for some positive interactions than their counterpart. The findings indicate possible approaches to teachers' professional development and further research.

As digital contents are widely used and require increasingly high quality, the data storage services over Internet also become more and more important. One of popular services, web-hard, provides lots of users with web-based functions for data storage, management and sharing but such storage utilization requires quite high cost compared to using portable storage devices. Moreover, some users may avoid putting their important data into open Internet area. On the other hand, portable storage devices are cheaper but can be used only when they are physically connected to host devices such as PC. Also additional management and security functions should be equipped to support data sharing among users. In this paper, we propose a web-based data storage system combining those advantages of aforementioned two approaches. The proposed system immediately provides web-based services for data management and sharing when a portable device such as SDD is connected to the server.

As a tropical plant, the neem tree (Azadirachta indica) has been used for a long time for disease and pest control and medical purposes. In this paper, we reviewed for the active ingredient of neem, the mode of action of azadirachtin in terms of insect growth regulation, repellent, feeding inhibition and oviposition against plant pests. And also we reviewed the current status of practical use in Korea. Among 57 products of neem-based eco-friendly organic agricultural materials distributed in Korea, seven products were certified for their efficacy. The average azadirachtin content of the seven products was 0.38%, which was 5.5 times less than the average content of 2.1% distributed worldwide. In the control effect on neem products in Korea, it showed some variation on aphids, but most showed a control effect of more than 90%. The treatment effects of Lycorma delicatula nymphs were 73-77%, and the control effects for thrips were obtained in the range of 50-72% mortality. The mortality effects against bug and moth species were generally low. It is expected that this review would provide important information necessary for the understanding of distributed neem products and the interpretation of experimental data.

The POSCO Outsourcing Partners(POSOP) consisted of 59 companies plays an important role in creating jobs in Gwangyang City of Jeonnam Province, the representative steel city of Korea. However POSOP are suffering from a job shortage. The purpose of this study is to analyze the mismatch between job-seekers and job-openers in relation to employment in Gwangyang City. As a result of the job-mismatch analysis of nine factors, there was a clear mismatch in recognition of suppliers, access to corporate and employment information, employment information acquisition path, and employment preference factors. However, there was no mismatch in the factors of employment avoidance and difficulty in the job-seeking and recruitment process. As solutions to the mismatch, it proposes to redefine the role of POPOS, promote capacity building projects for labor-management co-prosperity and cooperation, and gradually promote related projects in connection with the master plan related a comprehensive plan for youth jobs.

To prepare for and implement policies for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, which is characterized by convergence, super-connectivity, and AI, this study summarized the effects and characteristics of individual technologies on our society and discussed the issues with humanity and social science perspectives. As a result, in terms of AI technology, the issues of job losses, project-type works, basic income and robot taxes, accountability of AI, and algorithm inequality were dealt with. Security, cyber hacking and privacy infringement issues were highlighted in big-data technology. In the part of block-chain and bioengineering, the society of decentralization, the concentration, digital divide, and ethical issues were discussed. On-demand economic aspects highlighted the problems of civil ethics and human commercialization. Lastly, the development of VR is discussed including side effects such as cyber-syndrom, avoidance of reality, and so on.
