The effect of anchor extremity and question difficulty on anchoring effect (기준점의 극단성과 문항 난이도가 기준점 효과에 미치는 영향)

  • Previous studies have reported that a plausible reference point has a greater anchoring effect than an extreme reference point. It is also known that the anchoring effect decreases when the individual's level of knowledge related to a given item is high. However, there has been no study examining the interaction of the plausibility of the reference point and the difficulty of the given question. Therefore, in this study, the effect of the reference plausibility and the difficulty of the questions on the anchoring effect were examined. The relationship between the response confidence and the anchoring effect was also examined. To do so, easy and difficult questions, plausible and extreme reference points were selected through preliminary research. The experiment was conducted following the 'standard anchoring task procedure'. As results, the extremity of the reference point and the difficulty of the question affected the size of the anchoring effect respectively. The difficulty of the question also affected the confidence of the response. Specifically, when a plausible reference point was presented and when a difficult question was presented, the anchoring effects were increased. In addition, the lower the confidence in one's performances, the greater the influence of the reference point when an extreme reference point was presented. These results show that the plausibility of the given reference point and the difficulty of the item have different effects on the magnitude of the anchoring effect and the degree of confidence. The results of this study support the attitude change perspective regarding the anchoring effect, which suggests that the anchoring effect varies depending on the characteristics of the reference point and the individual's knowledge.

How do Verbal Information and Cognitive Load adjust the Anchoring Effect? (언어정보와 인지부하는 기준점설정효과를 어떻게 조정하는가?)

  • This study examines the anchoring effect and the adjustment process of two variables(verbal information, cognition load) with snack products. In the results of this study, 1) we found the anchoring effect because the respondents predicted more the number of real units(goraebap) on the packaging painted 25 units than 5 ones. 2) We confirmed the moderating effect of verbal information. The difference of the number of real units predicted between the two packaging was decreased when the visual information was in company with verbal information. And 3) the moderating effect of cognitive load appeared because the more cognitive load was, the less the difference of the number of real units predicted was. This study has shown that we can reduce the errors and biases by adjusting the information frame or the cognitive load. This research provides a theoretical-practical implications to the marketing staffs like packaging designers as well as scholars to study consumer psychology.

A Exploratory Comparison Study on Anchoring Effect according to Regularity of Snack's Shape (스낵모양의 규칙성에 따른 앵커링 효과의 탐색적 비교연구)

  • The purpose of this study examines the influence of anchoring and adjustment according to regularity of snack's shape. Especially this study choose 'choco chip' as a snack with regularity to compare with 2012's study. The results of this study are as follows. 1) The anchoring and adjustment also appears in 'choco chip' with regularity. But statistical meaning is different from the result of prior study. 2) The difference of anchoring effect reduced according to additional verbal information in 'choco chip' with regularity. but has no statistical meaning of interaction effect. However the causes of two results are different. 3) The interaction effect of cognitive load(without vs. moderate vs. high) is meaningful statistically. difference of anchoring effect reduced according to additional verbal information in 'choco chip' with regularity in 'choco chip' with regularity. This study provides strategic implication that it overcomes the limitation of the prior resuarch and may reinforce the biased judgement by cognitive overload.

Reference Points Selection for Interpolation in Digital Elevation Model (수치표고모델의 보간기준점 선정에 관한 연구)

  • The method that selects reference points for interpolation is very important in Digital Elevation Model. However, there is no definition of an accurate standard until now, so users select the reference points for interpolation at their option. This paper aims to study on the accurate selection of the reference points for interpolation of DEM. This paper analyzed the method using the number of points and the reference points selection method by using the average distance calculated, from irregular points. Based on the analysis of the results, it shows that the Kriging method applying of the average distance is more efficient in construction of DEM.

  • 본 논문에서는 모바일 디바이스의 카메라로부터 얻은 RGB이미지를 분석하여 장애물을 안정적으로 탐지할 수 있는 프레임워크를 제안한다. 본 논문에서는 장애물을 안정적으로 찾기 위해 RANSAC(Random Sample Consensus)기반의 다중 평면 방식을 이용한 위험감지 시스템을 제안한다. 우리의 접근 방식은 RGB영상으로부터 특징점(Feature point)을 추출하고, 특징점을 분석(Feature point analysis)하여 영상내의 평면을 감지한다. 복잡한 지형으로 인해 생성되는 다수의 평면을 RANSAC을 통해 단일 평면으로 정규화하고, 이로부터 특징점을 분류하기 위한 기준점을 계산한다. 모바일 디바이스의 위치와 회전 제약 없이 효과적으로 기준평면(Reference plane)을 탐색할 수 있고, 영상 내 특징점을 실시간으로 계산한다. 다양한 실험을 통해 기준평면과 장애물과의 거리를 파악하여 장애물을 효과적으로 분류하는 결과를 얻었다. 우리의 기법은 실세계에서의 위험요소를 감지하고 모바일 디바이스 사용자의 안전성 확보에 활용할 수 있을 거라 기대한다.

Updating of Digital Map using Digital Image and LIDAR (디지털 영상과 LIDAR 자료를 이용한 수치지도 갱신)

  • LIDAR(Light Detection and Ranging) is a new technology for obtaining DEM(Digital Elevation Model)ewith high density and high point acuracy. As LIDAR emerged, DEM could be developed in the earthsurface more efficiently and more economically, compared to the conventional aerial photogrametry.In this study, a digital camera is simultaneously used in combined LIDAR surveying, and acquired digitial image and DEM produce digital orthoimage. In this process, methods of combining sensor andorthoimage, GCPs determined by GPS surveying are used. Two digital orthoimage are produced; onewith a few GCP and the other without them. The produced maps can be used to corect or revised1:1,000 or 1:5,000 scale maps acordingly.

Transformation UIS DB and Determination of Coordinates Transformation Coefficients for Wonju City with Translation of Nation Geodetic Datum (국가측지좌표계 전환에 따른 변환계수 결정 및 도시기반정보 데이터베이스 변환 -원주시를 대상으로-)

  • With the use of world geodetic system, the UIS DB of WonJu City, which was established on Korea coordinate system becomes to face the need of coordinates transformation. However, the UIS DB of Wonju City is based on dualistic control points of Korea geodetic system, which means the coordinates system is not standardized. Therefore it is required to establish a plan for transformation into world geodetic system. For this purpose, we calculated coordinate transformation coefficients per control point data of Korea geodetic system and verified the accuracy of transformation coefficients. Through the process, we propose a plan for transforming the coordinate system of UIS DB in WonJu City, which has been based on dualistic control point data of Korea geodetic system, efficiently into the world geodetic system.

Dynamics of Asset Returns Considering Asymmetric Volatility Effects: Evidences from Korean Asset Markets (우리나라 자산가격 변동의 기준점 효과 및 전망이론적 해석 가능성 검정)

  • In this paper, we claim the asymmetric response of asset returns on the past asset returns' signs may be explained from the market behavioral portfolio choice of investors. For this, we admit the anchor and adjustment mechanism of investors which partly explains the momentum in the asset prices. We also claim the prospect theory based on the risk aversions may simultaneously work with the anchor and adjustment effect, whenever the lagged asset return was positive and investors accrued the gain. To identify these effects empirically in a threshold autoregressive model, we suppose the risk aversions inducing the volatility effect is related with the past volatility of asset returns. In application of suggested method to Korean stock and real estate markets, we found these effect exist as expected.

  • 본 연구에서는 소매업 변동에 관한 제 이론 검토와 입지 이론에서는 수요이론과 공급 이론에 대하여 두 이론이 부분적 적정성을 갖는 한편 양 이론이 동시적 고찰하지 못함에 따라 소매업태 입지 관련 적용에는 한계가 있다는 점을 지적하였다. 체인오퍼레이션의 의사결정 프로세스 분석을 통하여 새로운 체인 입지와 관련 문제점으로 공간 경쟁 효과와 시스템에 대한 매력효과를 검토하여 장단점을 복합적으로 반영하여 신규 출점 입지 의사결정을 하여야 한다는 것이다. 기존 선진 소매기업의 의사결정 기법을 통하여 국내 기업의 입지 의사결정에 기초 자료로 제공하고 실증 연구로서는 포화기 단계에 들어선 한국 할인점 시장(인천지역 T사의 기 출점)을 대상으로 의사결정단계의 일반 기준과 세부 기준을 제시를 통하여 AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) 계층 분석 방법으로 중요도를 평가하였다.

Multi-Image RPCs Sensor Modeling of High-Resolution Satellite Images Without GCPs (고해상도 위성영상 무기준점 기반 다중영상 센서 모델링)

  • High-resolution satellite images have high potential to acquire geospatial information over inaccessible areas such as Antarctica. Reference data are often required to increase the positional accuracy of the satellite data but the data are not available in many inland areas in Antarctica. Therefore this paper presents a multi-image RPCs (Rational Polynomial Coefficients) sensor modeling without any ground controls or reference data. Conjugate points between multi-images are extracted and used for the multi-image sensor modeling. The experiment was carried out for Kompsat-3A and showed that the significant accuracy increase was not observed but the approach has potential to suppress the maximum errors, especially the vertical errors.
