  • This paper presents a variation method of the parent ship using sectional area curve & the definition of NURBS curve. That is, global variation of the hull form is made systematically by the geometrical property of sectional area curve, and Local variation of the hull form is executed by the definition of NURBS curve. Then the designer may determine New hull form considering New section area curve, design condition, etc.

  • 본 논문에서는 경추 초음파 DICOM 영상에서 심부 경부 굴곡근의 하단 후보 경계선을 이용하여 경추가 위치하는 후보 영역을 추출한다. 추출한 경추 후보 영역에 퍼지 시그마 이진화 기법을 적용하여 경추 객체를 추출한다. 심부 경부 굴곡근의 두께를 측정하기 위한 측정 기준점을 정확하게 추출하기 위해 심부 경부 굴곡근의 하단 경계선의 위치 정보를 이용하여 심부 경부 굴곡근내의 지방이 경추 객체로 추출되는 문제점을 개선하고, 개선된 영상에서 경추 객체들이 가진 픽셀 좌표를 이용하여 측정 기준점을 설정한다. 그 후, 객체들의 위치 정보를 이용하여 측정 기준점을 다시 설정한다. 심부 경부 굴곡근 영역과 측정 기준점을 이용하여 심부 경부 굴곡근의 두께를 측정한다. 제안된 방법을 경추 초음파 DICOM 영상에 적용하여 심부 경부 굴곡근의 두께를 측정한 결과, 기존의 심부 경부 굴곡근 두께 측정 방법보다 정확한 결과를 얻을 수 있는 것을 확인하였다.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the aspect that the traffic distribution function changes, according to the direction of the datum line and the horizontal and vertical positions of the datum point applied when it is calculated. Targeting routes at the entrance of Mokpo Harbor, this study tested using AIS survey data of January 2013 the effects of the three variables-direction of the datum line(${\theta}$), horizontal position($\mathfrak{L}_H$) and vertical position($\mathfrak{L}_V$) on mean ($\bar{x}$) and standard deviation (${\delta}$). The test result showed that $\bar{x}$ and ${\delta}$ were changed according to the change of ${\theta}$, because the extracted sample data were changed according to ${\theta}$; and the changes of $\bar{x}$ and ${\delta}$ according to ${\theta}$ were drawn as the relation of the sine function' sum. In addition, it was found that setting up ${\theta}$ that the change value of ${\delta}$ becomes the least as the direction of the datum line was valid, to determine the optimum passage distribution function on complex waters with multiple branches of route. The result of this study is expected to be used as basic data to understand maritime traffic flow based on more quantified data of normal distribution and make decisions related to maritime traffic safety management.

A Study on the Improvement of the Facial Image Recognition by Extraction of Tilted Angle (기울기 검출에 의한 얼굴영상의 인식의 개선에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, robust recognition system for tilted facial image was developed. At first, standard facial image and lilted facial image are captured by CCTV camera and then transformed into binary image. The binary image is processed in order to obtain contour image by Laplacian edge operator. We trace and delete outermost edge line and use inner contour lines. We label four inner contour lines in order among the inner lines, and then we extract left and right eye with known distance relationship and with two eyes coordinates, and calculate slope information. At last, we rotate the tilted image in accordance with slope information and then calculate the ten distance features between element and element. In order to make the system invariant to image scale, we normalize these features with distance between left and righ eye. Experimental results show 88% recognition rate for twenty five face images when tilted degree is considered and 60% recognition rate when tilted degree is not considered.

Development of Korean Container Freight Index Based on Trade Volume (물동량 기반의 한국 정기선 운임지수 개발)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a new Korean container freight index by applying weights based on the global trade volume. To achieve this, it was decided to determine the conditions such as establishment of routes and regions, weighting of trade volumes which based on prior research and expert advice. Based on this, the individual index and regional index and composite index were calculated, and then reliability and statistical significance of the index was verified through correlation analysis and Granger causality analyses. This study suggest the following findings, through the development of the Korean container freight index. Firstly, Korean freight index reflects the overall market situation and can be used as a benchmark for determining the conditions of each market, consisting of criteria of region and routes. Secondly, it is possible to reflect the market conditions in which actual freight differences exist, since it has developed separate indexes for export and import routes. Finally, The composite index is the only index that reflects not only exports and imports but also 27 individual routes based on Busan, which is the most comprehensive indicator of the korean container freight market.

A Study on Development of Median Encroachment Accident Model (중앙선침범사고 예측모델의 개발에 관한 연구)

  • The median encroachment accident model proposed in this paper is the first step to develop cost-effective criteria about installing facilities preventing traffic accidents by median encroachment. This model consists of expected annual number of median encroachment on roadway and conditional probability to collide with vehicles on opposite lane after encroachment. Expected encroachment number is related to traffic volume and quote from a study of Hutchinson & Kennedy(1966). The probability of vehicle collision is composed of assumed headway distribution of opposite directional vehicles (negative exponential distribution), driving time of encroaching vehicle and Gap & Gap acceptance model. By using expected accident number yielded from the presented model, it will be able to calculate the benefit of reduced accident and to analyze the cost of installing facilities. Therefore this will help develop cost-effective criteria of what, to install in the median.

  • 국내의 송전선 지지물 설계는 전기설비기술기준과 한국전력공사 송전설계기준에 근거하여 적용되며, 철탑하중에 큰 비중을 갖는 풍하중기준은 1985년 기상청의 풍속 데이터를 반영하여 1987년경에 제정된 지침을 지금까지 적용하고 있다. 당시 제정된 설계기준에서는 지역별 풍속 차이에 따라 I, II, III, 지역 및 울릉도로 구분하여 차등 적용하는 설계개념으로 주변여건을 고려하지 않고 동일한 지역내에 위치하고 있는 송전지지물의 경우에는 동일한 풍하중을 적용하는 방식이다. 최근 해외 철탑설계기준과 국내 건축물 설계기준에서는 전산기술의 발달로 국부적인 지형영향을 고려하여 철탑별로 개별적인 풍하중을 산정하는 방식을 채택하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 상용 송전선로 설계가 진행되고 있는 군산-새만금 예정 경과지 가운데 지형조건을 고려한 풍속할증이 요구되는 개소에 대한 설계 풍하중 검토사례를 소개한다.

Position Fixing Accuracy of TDOA Direction Finding Method (TDOA 방위탐지방식의 위치표정 정확도)

  • The technology of direction finding is very important to make high position fixing accuracy. TDOA(time difference of arrival) direction finding technology is a high accuracy technology and is used in RF system from 1990. The principle of TDOA is to receive an emitter signal with two antennas, measure the time difference of received signal and then convert the time differences to azimuth angle. For high DF(direction finding) accuracy long basis line and high SNR at receiving system are needed. The DF accuracy and position fixing accuracy are simulated with different SNRs and antenna base lines. We obtain the DF accuracy of $0.51^{\circ}$ at $0^{\circ}$ incident azimuth angle in case of 50m base line and 40dB SNR.
