  • The Representatives of Korea & India hold The Sixth negotiation for conclusion of Korean-India CEPA(Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement) at IFANS(Institute of Foreign Affairs & National Security) in Seoul at April 4, 2007. The latest, India is paid attention by the citizen of the world as the leading country that it lead the 21C's world economic with the China, India is called one of the BRICs and Chindia countries. Now, the concern of the citizen of world inclines huge potential energy of India. It is that time, we must change our concern from Chinas to India slowly.   • The purpose of this study is to develop New-IT internship and to search for the way to reduce quality mismatch and unemployment ratio and to ultimately enhance its effectiveness of university-industry collaboration(UIC) in the field of information technology in Korea. To achieve the goal of this study, we tried to come up with more job creation than educational UIC. The survey(based on CIPP model) based on the reaction of companies and interns participating in IT internship program promoted by MKE(Ministry of Knowledge and Economy) shows that intern experience helped them to get jobs and longer intern period gave them to find job more easily. This program is designed to focus on intern matching between students' major and their intern jobs, and requires new employees' level of job quality. They(56%) preferred to hire local college students majoring in special technology area related to regional innovation industry cluster. It also found that intern companies(87%) wanted to participate in this program again and hired intern students(61%) as showing the possible connection of internship and employment. IT Internship program affected students(68.3%) good images about small and medium enterprises(SME) after finishing internship.

  • This paper explores the triple helix innovation system in Food Valley in the Netherlands which is considered one of the most innovative food clusters in the world. The triple helix approach has been so far little tackled in the literature on innovation system and cluster. However, tills approach can be a useful tool for understanding the dynamic characters and knowledge transfer mechanism of industrial cluster. On the basis of an in-depth case study, we argue that Food Valley has evolved through four circles of growth in the triple helix innovation system. From the mid-2000s onward, it is seen that Food Valley has been on the stabilized circle in the triple helix system of innovation. Centered upon Wageningen UR, local universities and research centers play a pivotal role in building the triple helix innovation system. To cope with radical changes in markets and technology since the late 1980s, local firms have made a great deal of effort to reinforce the university-industry partnership. On the other hand, government agencies have played a critical role for establishing institutional milieu that facilitate university-industry partnerships and local knowledge transfer and spillover.

  • This study seeks to understand the inter-relationship between employee enthusiasm, trust, immersion and satisfaction of employees working at a hospitality company based in Gwangju Metropolitan City. The purpose of this study is to examine the human resources management of workers in the hospitality industry by grasping the current situation of employees working in the service enterprise. As a result, corporate organizational support in the hospitality industry has a significant impact on the enthusiasm of employees. The enthusiasm of the employee is shown to be trusting, immersing, and satisfying in the work of the employee in the hospitality company, which can be seen as an organization, showing that the employee's passion plays a positive role in trust, immersion and satisfaction. As the employee's enthusiasm is reflected in the quality of the service product as a result, it can be regarded as the quality of the relationship that the employee is responsible for or positive feelings about the company in which he or she is in charge. Personnel management measures are required to strengthen pride and desire to achieve work so that employees can exercise their passion to feel trust, immersion, and satisfaction in their businesses and work. Therefore, it is necessary to provide tangible and intangible organizational support and introduce and implement personnel-related programs to enhance work pride and desire to achieve.

Analysis of PBL for Korean Apprenticeship Program in Mechanical Engineering (기계분야 일학습병행제에서의 PBL 실태 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to analysis of PBL for Korean Apprenticeship Program in Mechanical Engineering. The details of the study were as follows: First, the perception related to the PBL of Korean apprenticeship program was investigated. Second, the utilization and the operational difficulties of PBL for Korean Apprenticeship Program were investigated. Third, the supporting system for PBL was suggested. Research methods were literature research, questionnaire survey and FGI. The survey was conducted online from July 15 to August 14, 2021. A total of 515 respondents responded. A total of 108 in 515 respondents were in Mechanical Engineering. FGI conducted a total of 25 people who actual use PBL in the field of Korean Apprenticeship Program. Conclusions and suggestions based upon the result of this study are as follows. First, It is necessary to improve the utilization of PBL for Korean Apprenticeship Program in Industry. Second, PBL is necessary to apply optionally according to the job and field situation. Third, it is necessary to support system of evaluation for PBL in Korean Apprenticeship Program. Finally, related operation model and guideline need to be prepared for best practice.

Systemic literature review on the impact of government financial support on innovation in private firms (정부의 기술혁신 재정지원 정책효과에 대한 체계적 문헌연구)

  • The government has supported the innovation of private firms by intervening the market for various purposes, such as preventing market failure, alleviating information asymmetry, and allocating resources efficiently. Although the government's R&D budget increased rapidly in the 2000s, it is not clear whether the government intervention has made desirable impact on the market. To address this, the current study attempts to explore this issue by doing a systematic literature review on foreign and domestic papers in an integrated way. In total, 168 studies are analyzed using contents analysis approach and various lens, such as policy additionality, policy tools, firm size, unit of analysis, data and method, are adopted for analysis. Overlapping policy target, time lag between government intervention and policy effects, non-linearity of financial supports, interference between different polices, and out-dated R&D tax incentive system are reported as factors hampering the effect of the government intervention. Many policy prescriptions, such as program evaluation indices reflecting behavioral additionality, an introduction of policy mix and evidence-based policy using machine learning, are suggested to improve these hurdles.

Multiple Case Analysis Study on Business Model Types and Components of Startups: Focusing on Leading Overseas Smart Farm Companies (스타트업의 비즈니스 모델 유형 및 구성요소에 대한 다중 사례 분석 연구: 해외 스마트팜 선도기업을 중심으로)

  • In order to secure sustainable competitiveness of startups, business model innovation is an important task to achieve competitive advantage by transforming the various elements that make up the business model. This study conducted a multi-case analysis study on leading smart farm companies around the world using an analysis framework based on business model theory. Through this, we sought to identify business model types and their constituent elements. For this, 19 companies were selected from the list of top 10 investment startups of the year for the past three years published by Agfunder, a global investment research company specializing in AgTech. Then data collection and analysis of the company cases were conducted according to the case study protocol. As a result of the study, the business model types were analyzed into four types: large-scale centralized production model, medium-to-large local distributed production model, small-scale hyperlocal modular FaaS model, and small-scale hyperlocal turnkey solution supply model. A comparative analysis was conducted on five business model components for each type, and strategic implications were derived through this. This study is expected to contribute to improving the competitiveness of domestic smart farm startups and diversifying their strategies by identifying the business models of overseas leading companies in the smart farm field using an academic analysis framework.

  • Since the third generation (3G) mobile communication service has been launched by most mobile communication operators in Korea, the portion of data service in mobile communication service becomes one of the most important factors in mobile communication service market. In past mobile communication market, most mobile communication operators made their profit mostly from voice communication service. However, the portion of profit from data service has gradually increased based on both video phone call and mobile Internet service. In this situation, LG telecom launched the full browsing mobile Internet service. This service provides a new type of mobile Internet service platform which enables to access the World Wide Web using mobile browsers, so we generally access the Web using web browsers in the desktop computer. Under the open network structure of mobile Internet like situation, it is very important to analyze the factors which can affect the competition between mobile communication service companies. So, in this paper, we first present the current state of full browsing service, followed by the expectation of its growth potentials and barriers. Then, we analyze the advantages and disadvantage of LG telecom as a first-mover and SK telecom/KTF as followers. Finally, based on this analysis, we predict the future competition among these companies and the market.

  • Recent research on organizational innovation, such as. new managerial processes, practices, suggests it can be an important source of firm's competitive advantage. The challenge is not only offering new products and services, but also changing the nature of management within organizations. In this study, we focus on management innovation at the organization level and investigate the role of transformational leadership behavior as a key antecedent. Transformational leadership may complement an organization''s increasing rigidity by maintaining a sense of meaningfulness in members of the organization, which may be more flourishing to organizational innovation. Due to its prominent role within organizations, CEO has the ability to greatly influence management innovation. In particular, we focus on leadership behavior and examine transformational leadership of CEO. Additionally, as contextual variables like organizational structure(complexity, formalization, centralization) may influence the impact of transformational leadership, we investigate its moderating role. Findings show that transformational leadership behaviors positively contribute to organizational innovation. In addition, our study indicate that less complex, less formal and less central, organizations have benefit more from transactional leadership in strengthening organizational innovation.

CJ O Shopping's global marketing strategy focused on asian countries including China, India, Vietnam, and Japan is going successfully, which enables top ranked on-line retailing company in asia as well as in Korea. CJ O Shopping effectively penetrated into overseas market with both core competence based on Korean home shopping model and rigorous preliminary study on target market. Especially shoppertainment (Shopping+Entertainment) that is unique feature of globally competitive Korean home shopping created huge differentiations in target market. Also choosing the influential local partner, sharing the business goals, and building the joint venture could make stable operations, thereby easily earning of well-established awareness from target consumers. A step ahead entry of competitors and intensive localization of CJ O Shopping's core competence for arriving safe in target market were additional key factors for global marketing success. We can extract above key factors for success as implications of case study on CJ O Shopping's global marketing, and expect those factors to be spread into lots of Korean companies and utilized as successful strategies for global marketing.
