The objective of the study is to examine the impact of researcher's commercialization support on the success of commercialization after technology transfer of public research institutes. Logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the effect of researcher's commercialization support on commercialization success with 204 license agreements from ETRI. As a result, it has been empirically verified that there is a significant impact to the success of the commercialization of transferred technology when the researcher is participating in the commercialization process and transfers the latent knowledge gained in the invention process to the licensed company. The result is suggestive of the effective directions of government's and public research institutes' policy for SME support.

This study investigates key factors affecting the activity of defense technology transfer through the questionnaire survey in Korea. Defense R&D investment has played an important role in promoting the commercial technology development as well as the targeted defense sector through the spin-off mechanism as shown in many countries. Recognizing the importance of effective and efficient investment in defense technology development, the advanced countries in defense technology are trying to establish optimal technology transfer mechanism to maximize the effect of the invested R&D at the national level considering the idiosyncratic features of their own countries. Because the technology transfer mechanisms are very distinct from country to country, it is natural to question "what are the determinants of the effective and efficient technology transfer in Korea?" We tested 19 potential factors and identified 11 factors that are significantly important as the determinants of technology transfer. From the empirical findings, we discuss some policy implications to promote the technology transfer.

There are increasing policy and academic interests on technology commercialization of public research organizations. Prior researches have focused on institutional factors and organizational differences between academics and public research organizations. Using a new data on individual-level characteristics and commercialization, we examine the effects of prior experience and total number of research projects on commercialization performance. We find strong positive relationships between prior experience and commercialization performance. Also we find a inverted U-curved relationships between total number of research projects and commercialization. Based on these results, we suggest some policy implications to promote technology commercializations of public research organizations.

The first purpose of this study is to find out whether internal support factors such as evaluation system, education support program, and human resources of universities are factors that influencing the motivation of technology transfer and commercialization among those engaged in technology transfer and commercialization activities. Second, verified the regulation effect of social support from the cause-and-effect relationship between motivation of technology transfer commercialization and the said internal factors. In order to analyze the above research, a questionnaire survey was conducted for the professors and employees engaged in the technology transfer and commercialization organization of 40 universities in Korea. A total of 160 surveys were distributed, of which 145 were collected. The results of analysis using SPSS Statistics 22.0 are as follows. First, all internal factors of university such as evaluation system, education support program, and human resources have significant influence on the motivation for technology transfer and commercialization. Second, as a result of analyzing the regulation effect of the social support in relation to the internal factor of the university and the motivation of technology transfer and commercialization, the quasi regulation effect can be founded in between evaluation system and motivation of technology transfer and commercialization. However, there is no regulation effect of social support between the education support program, human resources and motivation for technology transfer and commercialization. Based on the results of this study, suggestions can be founded for establishing a support policy for those who are engaged in technology transfer and commercialization in universities.

The aim of online technology transfer market is not just to offer meeting place for technology seller and technology buyer, but to save cost and time in technology transfer by providing information on technology transfer. Providing timely information in technology transfer is important. As such integrated management system of the technology transfer information is required for efficient management of information on technology transfer. The existing online technology transfer sites provide simple technology information and can not check and update information from technology seller or buyer. This paper present an example of integrated management system of the technology transfer information which provides technology seller and buyer timely information.

This paper suggests that the introduction of Seoul-Pusan High Speed rail system makes related railway industry to be developed through transfer of high technology and other related industries to be jointly grown by technology' ripple effects. Technology transfer and localization implementation process in the period of technology introduction was reviewed synthetically and problems at that period was also analyzed. And technology development countermeasures of railway industry was discussed in order to maintain and expand railway system technology in the future.

The competition between countries became internationalized in the market. However, a situation in which globalization is concerned is important to domestic corporates. Corporate strategy to survive in the domestic market are also juggling the limit of survival. Technology transfer and commercialization at this point has important implications now. The same applies to the national level. Public-to-private technology transfer has been more important, in order to overcome the international competitions. Although various studies have been made to promote technology transfer, in the livestock sector rarely attempted. Taking into account that few previous research and theory development has been achieved, the paper explored the technology transfer phenomenon in the sector employing the grounded theory approach by Strauss & Corbin(1998). Corporates that licensed in technologies through the Foundation of Agri. Tech. Commercialization & Transfer, were targeted as informants or interviewees. Finally, eight informants were selected sequentially utilizing theoretical sampling technique to the saturation point. As the result of open coding and axial coding of the interview data using NVivo10 by QSR International, 77 concepts, 20 sub-categories, and 7 categories were derived while paradigm model was established. Through selective coding, 'the factors affecting technology transfer in livestock sector' was identified as core category. The story line about the core category was developed based on four main categories. Finally, it is expected that the concepts, categories, and the relationship between them can be an important basis for further research.

Nowadays, the R&D policy has gradually emphasized the creation of economic values added through technology transfer of R&D performance. Technology transfer plays an important role in making a profit on commercialization of technology, but the performance of technology transfer is a great difference between countries. Therefore, this study analyzes the effects of the science and technology environment on technology transfer from a national point of view. In this study, the science and technology environment largely consists of openness, ease of firms, protection of intellectual property, emphasis of science in schools. We select OECD 34 countries as the subject of this study and collect the data from IMD between 2002 and 2011. The results show that all hypotheses are supported. Openness and ease of firms are related to technology transfer as they help to improve the understanding and willingness about technology transfer nationally. Protection of intellectual property also influences the spread of R&D performance positively, and the environment that is emphasized science in school actively promotes both creation and technology transfer of R&D performance. Although prior studies have focused on technical capabilities to improve the performance of technology transfer, we consider the influence of the science and technology environment from an institutional perspective. This study will do much for formulate the R&D policy.

The research is to develop U-IT Technology Transfer Re-auction System Model for technology transfer enable transactions of buyer-oriented. The buyer sends condition technology parts and data informations to provider. The First step, The buyer sends condition technology parts and data informations to provider. The Second step, the buyer's technology and conditions in the First step will be transferred to the DB of a provider who can provide that technology. The Third step, a provider can bid after inputting the conditions. The Fourth step, the buyer decides the ranking of successful bids in condition-optimized auction process. The Fifth step, the buyer invites a provider to be a successful bidder. The last step, if there's no successful bid within the period, the sale considered failed. The buyer-oriented re-auction system is that the deal will become extinct automatically when its sale failed more than two times.
