  • In this research, what megatrends will be derived for the future society and what new packaging technology will be required in the future were researched. Megatrends were researched in the five major categories, demographical, social, consumer, packaging related science and technology, governmental regulations and law trend. The six new packaging technologies were predicted, Active/Passive packaging technology, Intelligent Communication packaging technology, Nanotechnology packaging technology, Universal Convenience packaging technology, Environmental Friendly packaging technology, and Package Design technology.

  • 본 연구는 최근 Horizon report 2020에서 소개하는 고등교육 분야에 영향을 줄 트렌드와 기술 사례들을 수집하여 고등교육의 미래 동향과 학습 분석적 측면에서 분석하였다. 고등 교육이 교수·학습을 중심으로 영향을 줄 트렌드로는 기술적 트렌드, 고등교육 트렌드, 경제적 트렌드 등이 있으며 기술 사례로는 적응형 학습, 인공지능/머신기능 기술의 교육적 활용, 학업 성취도 분석을 위한 학습 분석, 확장 현실 기술 등이 있다. 이 중 학습 분석 기술은 학습자의 학업 성취도를 높이기 위한 방법으로 사용되는 유용한 기술이기도 하며 고등교육에 영향을 줄 가장 핵심 트렌드이기도 하다. 그러나 현실 학습에 적용하는데는 데이터 격차, 품질 문제, 개인 정보보호에 대한 문제 등 윤리적 문제를 함께 고려해야한다. 본 연구를 기반으로 한 향후 학습 분석 시스템을 개발하고자 한다.

Trend Analysis of Technical Terms Using Term Life Cycle Modeling (용어 활용주기 모델링을 이용한 기술용어 트렌드 분석)

  • The trends of technical terms express the changes of particular subjects in a specific research field over time. However, the amount of academic literature and patent data is too large to be analyzed by human resources. In this paper, we propose a method that can detect and analyze the trends of terms by modeling the life cycle of the terms. The proposed method is composed of the following steps. First, the technical terms are extracted from academic literature data, and the TDVs(Term Dominance Values) of terms are computed on a periodic basis. Based on the TDVs, the life cycles of terms are modeled, and technical terms with similar temporal patterns of the life cycles are classified into the same trends class. The experiments shown in this paper is performed by exploiting the NDSL academic literature data maintained by KISTI.

  • 본 연구는 우주 분야의 미래 연구개발 방향성 정립과 정책적인 대응 방안 마련을 목적으로 우선 연구와 산업의 관점에서 항공우주 분야에 특화된 미래예측을 수행하였다. 특히 우주 분야에서 핵심적인 위성, 발사체, 우주탐사 분야를 중심으로 여러 문헌을 조사분석하여 메가트렌드와 마이크로트렌드로 구분하고, 각 마이크로트렌드별 분석결과와 시사점을 분석하였다. 나아가 이를 통해 한국 우주 연구개발의 정책적인 대응을 위한 요구방향에 대해 기술하였다. 본 연구는 전세계 항공우주 미래 연구와 산업의 패러다임의 변화를 예측한 결과를 바탕으로 한국 우주 분야가 나아가야 할 방향을 통찰했다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

  • 정보통신산업과 조우한 지식정보산업의 기술변화가 숨가쁘게 이뤄지고 있다. 이와 함께 기술적 트렌드를 반영하는 유행어도 수시로 바뀌고 있다. 2000년대 초까지는 인터넷이 폭풍처럼 몰아치더니 이후에는 클러스터, 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅, 유틸리티 컴퓨팅 등이 이를 대변했다. 얼마 전까지는 클라우드가 유행처럼 번지더니 최근에는 빅데이터가 '뜨고' 있다. 지식과 정보를 다루는 인쇄산업의 입장에서 관심이 가는 측면도 있지만, 도대체 얼마나 관련이 있는지 감이 잡히질 않는다. 하지만 메가트렌드의 한 요소라면 분명 짚고 넘어갈 필요가 있다.

Analysis of Global Research Trend on Information Security (정보보안에 대한 연구 트렌드 분석)

  • This paper analyzes global research trend on information security. All technical fields based on information requires security so that discovering technologies (technical terms) which are developing newly or dramatically is able to guide the future direction of the field of information security. In this paper, the ultimate of this research is to figure out the technologies related to information security and to forecast the future through understanding their trends. The paper, as a beginning for the analysis on macroscopic viewpoint, contains measurement of yearly relatedness between technical terms from 2001 to 2014 by using temporal co-occurrence and interpretation of its meaning through comparing the relatedness with trends of top-related technical terms. And to conclude, we could find that Android platform, Big data, Internet of things, Mobile technologies, and Cloud computing are emerging technologies on information security.

  • As global interests in the 4th Industrial Revolution have recently increased, it becomes critical for the construction industry to pro-actively cope with it. For effective actions, the construction industry needs to make active use of 4th Industrial Revolution technologies based on the up-to-date understanding of the trends of construction technology development employing the 4th Industrial Revolution technologies. The objective of the study is to investigate and identify key trends of ICT construction technology development over the last ten years based on Big Data Analytics. The study identifies eleven key trends and discusses that ICT construction technology development has not been as active as expected and software technologies have been less developed compared to hardware technologies.

A Study of Agenda Mining for Humanities-Based Convergence Research (인문사회기반 융합연구 의제 도출 연구)

  • In this study, we analyzed future emerging technologies from the perspective of convergence research and arranged them into mega-trends, trends, and issues, to carry out predictions of the future environment and search for technologies that are expected to be closely related to human life, and ultimately to achieve convergence research agenda that can predict various social problems. First, we investigated and analyzed the literature mentioned about various promising technologies and analyzed them to analyze key words and summarize the most frequently used core key words to infer trends. Then, an agenda was drawn that emphasized connectivity with the humanities-based convergence research by stratifying and organizing the inferred trends and classifying them as core and derived trends. The necessity, innovation, convergence, feasibility, future-oriented, and acceptability of these derived agendas were investigated through a survey. The analysis showed that researchers conducting convergence research showed a high interest in agenda items that deal closely with daily life with feasible technologies in the near future, while they showed a rather low interest in issues such as technology that can be realized in the distant future, terrorism or international conflicts.

A Language Model and Clue based Machine Learning Method for Discovering Technology Trends from Patent Text (특허 문서 텍스트로부터의 기술 트렌드 탐지를 위한 언어 모델 및 단서 기반 기계학습 방법)

  • Patent text is a rich source for discovering technological trends. In order to automate such a discovery process, we attempt to identify phrases corresponding to the problem and its solution method which together form a technology. Problem and solution phrases are identified by a SVM classifier using features based on a combination of a language modeling approach and linguistic clues. Based on the occurrence statistics of the phrases, we identify the time span of each problem and solution and finally generate a trend. Based on our experiment, we show that the proposed semantic phrase identification method is promising with its accuracy being 77% in R-precision. We also show that the unsupervised method for discovering technological trends is meaningful.
