A Study on the Diffusion of NCS-based Curriculum in Junior Colleges based on the Analysis of Research Trends (NCS기반교육 연구동향 분석을 통한 전문대학의 NCS확산연구)

  • In Korea's national competency standards, competency is defined as a concept that includes the common skills required to be a member of an organization, the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values necessary to perform the task, in addition to the skills necessary to perform the task in the field. This study examines the recently published NCS-related paper, and summarizes the key findings in the areas of the design and operation of NCS-based curriculum, key factors that should be included in the design of each individual NCS-based curriculum, positive effects and negative effects of NCS-based education and training processes. Based on these findings and educational implications, the feasibility of expanding the NCS-based curriculum in junior colleges is discussed. In addition, the roles of Human Resources Development Service of Korea and NCS web site are discussed and some suggestions concerning their roles are provided.

  • This study investigates the research trends of SMEs and technological innovations in the last 40 years. Research topics and methodological trends were analyzed for 114 academic papers deals with technology innovation in SMEs. In terms of research subjects, there have been interested in the technology capability and technology accumulation of SMEs in the 1990s, but after the 2000s, research on external open innovation and innovation performance has increased. The empirical analysis studies using primary or secondary data were dominated since the 2000s. We suggest some future research directions, more systematic innovation processes in SMEs, the interactions between technology innovation and external environments, and advanced methodologies on SMEs' technology innovation studies.

  • Transition from imitation based catch-up to new value creation based post catch-up innovation system is becoming the main issue for Korea. The notion of post catch-up research highlights the understanding of new patterns of innovation and the interrelationship among innovating agents within systems of innovation. More specifically, it is a context specific framework which accommodates discontinuum of technological innovation from the past and a creation of new organizational arrangement and institutions. Moreover, post catch-up approach follows the tradition of development, institutional and evolutionary theories context. This paper, therefore, explores whose focus is on the possibility of new theoretical development and new research agenda.

  • 소음진동의 문제해결과 연구개발은 산업현장에서 소음 진동 공학자들이 담당하여할 과제로서 별개의 과제로 양립하는 동시에 상호보완되어야 할 기능도 가지고 있다. 이를 위하여 현장문제는 해결 즉시 해결과정의 정식화 및 해석이 수행되어야 차후 유사한 문제 발생시 수월하게 해결할 수 있는 능력이 배양된다. 제어장치나 해석 S/W는 중공업 분야의 다양한 생산 제품에 적절히 이용하기 위해 기존 도구의 응용보다 자체개발을 지향하여야 한다. 개발과정에서 부수적으로 계측 및 해석기술이 향상되며 축적된 기술은 현장문제 해결시 귀중한 도구가 될 수 있기 때문이다. 이 과정은 마치 처음 단순 해석, 계측 단계에서 실험, 개발로 발전한 후 다시 복잡한 해석, 계측, 실험 및 개발에 이르는 단계적 발전 방향과도 같다고 생각된다.

  • 인류가 달에 착륙한 이후 우주개발은 인류에 있어서의 위대한 전진이며 역사적 의의를 지니고 있다. 세계 각국에 우주가 인류의 마지막 보고라는 인식이 커지면서, 최근 우주개발을 둘러싼 세계의 경쟁은 대단히 치열하다. 각종 첨단기술의 결집과 복합응용이 필수인 우주산업을 국내기술로 이루기 위한 노력이 선진국에 비해 결코 적지 않으며 그 뜨거운 열정 또한 우주산업의 미래를 밝게 해 주리라고 믿는다. 항공우주연구소는 우리 나라의 항공.우주과학기술의 개발과 실용화를 위한 중심체 역할을 담당하고 있는 국책연구기관으로서 1989년 10월에 설립되었다. 설립이래, 수많은 업적을 이룩한 바 있으며, 특히 무궁화위성 버스 기술지원사업과 우리별 2호의 우주환경시험 등으로 국내에서는 거의 불모지나 다름없던 위성관련 분야에서 꾸준한 기술축적을 이루어 현재는 위공위성 본체설계 능력을 갖추었으며, 소형위성의 우주환경시험 시설 및 관련기술을 보유하고 있다. 또한 '94년 11월부터 시작되어 현재 추진중인 다목적 실용위성사업은 우리나라 우주기술개발의 새로운 비젼을 제시하는 대형국책사업으로 산.학.연.관의 협력으로 추진되고 있다. 이러한 중요한 시점에 항공우주연구소를 이끌어 나갈 제 4대 소장으로 취임한 장근호 소장으로부터 항공우주산업의 발전을 위한 항우연의 마스터 플랜과 추진현황, 전망 등에 대하여 들어보았다. 열정적으로 대담하시는 모습에서 우주를 향한 우리의 푸른 꿈이 큰 결실을 맺을 것이라는 확신을 가졌다.

  • Additive manufacturing (AM, also known as 3D printing) technology gets attention for various effects in the construction industry. It reveals abilities of process automation, high traceability of resource management, construction period precision improvement, and worker safety. However, unlike the existing construction technology, the development of AM construction process causes trial errors and unpredictable accidents. In the present study, the construction AM process is designed for on-site construction, and it performs with empirical tests. Also, we analyzed the causes of qualitative experimental results.

  • 국내외적으로 전력산업분야의 가장 큰 화두중 하나는 변전소 단위의 디지털화이며 특히 국외에서는 국제표준 변전자동화 시스템 연구와 제품개발 등에 인력을 집중 투자하고 있다. 국제적으로 지금까지 축적된 변전소 관련 제반 기술력 및 경험 둥을 바탕으로 전 세계적으로 단일화시키고 표준화된 변전소 자동화 규격인 IEC 61850 (Communication networks and systems in substations) 규격이 제정되었으며 따라서 향후 전력 관련 기업은 시스템 엔지니어링 기술, 전력기기 공급능력, 유지/보수/운영기술 등을 종합적으로 보유하고 자산 및 위험관리를 종합적으로 제공할 수 있어야만 세계시장에서 생존할 수 있다. 또한 전력기기를 수출하는 국내업체는 향후 IEC(International Electrotechnical Commission) 등 국제표준에 따른 전력설비를 개발하지 않으면 수출경쟁력을 잃게 될 것이다. 이러한 세계화 추세에 발맞추어 한국전력공사와 관련 업체들은 공동으로 2005년 10월부터 6년의 기간으로 "디지털 기술기반의 변전소 자동화 시스템 개발" 사업을 진행 중에 있으며 특히 한국전력공사는 변전자동화 시스템의 성능검증 및 실증시험 절차를 구축하기 위한 과제를 수행 중이다.

일본의 정지궤도위성 개발에 관한 조사

  • This is a survey report of Japan's geo-stationary satellite development. Owing to Japanese government's ambitious space development efforts since 1950's, Japan became the fourth country that launched successfully its own satellite by using its own launch vehicle with the launch of Japan's first satellite, Ohsumi, in 1970. Since then Japan is maintaining a world leader's position in space development with continuous technology accumulation. Japan is injected 97 satellites into orbit(third in the world) by the end of 2003 including 18 science satellite series, 7 technology experiment satellite series, 5 meteorological satellites, and numerous telecommunication and broadcasting satellites, etc. With successful delivery of Optus C1 satellite to Sing Tel Optus Pty., Ltd. in Australia in June 2003 by MELCO, Japan is capable of competing in the international geo-stationary satellite market.

The Impact of Work Experience of Related Domain on the 'Good Quality Startup' : K-Ventures Case Study (관련 기업 근무경험이 '질 좋은 청년창업'에 미치는 영향 : K벤처스 투자기업 사례를 중심으로)

  • This study examines the effect of previous work experience on the long-lived venture firm called 'Good Quality startup'. The research explores entrepreneurs of 16 mobile application startups that were invested by the venture capital, 'K-ventures', through the resource-based view. The results show that all of entrepreneurs had previous experiences of their business domain. They accumulated human resources such as technology capabilities, knowledge of domain, know-how, networking through learning-by-doing. Entrepreneur's human resources are the key factors for opportunity recognition and realisation process; and it is also on the ground that venture capital determines investment. Venture capital provides financial resources, management support and strong network for venture firm. Technology resources, financial resources, know-how and networking are the core managerial resources to be a long-lived venture firm called 'Good Quality Startup'. This research is an exploratory case study based on previous experience and 'good quality entrepreneurship'. The empirical study hereafter is needed.

Digitization of Old Korean Texts with Obsolete Korean Characters and Suggestion for Improvement of Information Sharing (옛한글 문서의 전자문서화와 정보공유 방법 제안)

  • A vast amount of materials-such as prints, woodblock prints, manuscripts, old novels, and letters-written in old Korean and using old grammar and/or obsolete characters, are collected in many institutions, including the Jangseogak at the Academy of Korean Studies. Digitization of these texts has required a prolonged manual inputting process. Individual researchers, who majored in old Korean, have read and typed the characters into electronic documents, which depends upon individual skill, effort, and approach, and is particularly limiting because none can be significantly increased. To date, only a small proportion of the old Korean document collections, currently kept in storage, have been digitized and made available to the public. Even the electronic formats of the texts prove difficult to displaying correctly, due to the incompatibility between the old Korean characters and the character set on today's electronic devices. To improve the techniques and efficiency of digitizing old Korean texts, it is necessary to develop optical character recognition (OCR), which will analyze images of old Korean documents, as well as input, display, and storage methods.
