Multi-Label Combination for Prediction of Protein Subcellular Localization (다중레이블 조합을 사용한 단백질 세포내 위치 예측)

  • Knowledge about protein subcellular localization provides important information about protein function. This paper improves a label power-set multi-label classification for the accurate prediction of subcellular localization of proteins which simultaneously exist at multiple subcellular locations. Among multi-label classification methods, label power-set method can effectively model the correlation between subcellular locations of proteins performing certain biological function. With constrained optimization, this paper calculates combination weights which are used in the linear combination representation of a multi-label by other multi-labels. Using these weights, the prediction probabilities of multi-labels are combined to give final prediction results. Experimental results on human protein dataset show that the proposed method achieves higher performance than other prediction methods for protein subcellular localization. This shows that the proposed method can successfully enrich the prediction probability of multi-labels by exploiting the overlapping information between multi-labels.

  • Services are reusable units in business level. Ubiquitous computing provides computing services anytime and anywhere. The combination of both is becoming an important paradigm of computing environment. Fundamentals of services require flexibility and interoperability, and key elements of ubiquitous modeling require interoperability and context-awareness. There are two kinds of methods to identify services. The top-down approach is based on business process, and the bottom-up approach is based on components. The first approach depends on experts' intuitions, while the second approach suffers the incapability of expressing non-functional expression through components. Although a feature-based approach is capable of expressing non-functional expression and identifying services in ubiquitous environment, the research on this issue is not adequately addressed by far. To promote this research, this paper proposes a feature-based method to identify services in ubiquitous computing. The method extracts initial-candidate-services from a feature model. Then, the ultimate services are identified through optimizing and analyzing the candidate-services. The proposed method is expected to enhance the service reusability by effectively analyzing ubiquitous domain based on feature, and varying reusable service units.

  • This paper presents the design and FPGA implementation of a FLEX PSP(Protocol Signal Processor) for the portable high speed paging system. In this approach, two algorithms are newly proposed for implementing the PSP which provides capabilities of the maximum 6,400bps at speed, high-channel throughput, real time error correction and an effective frame search function. One is an accurate symbol synchronization algorithm which is applied for synchronizing the interleaved 4-level bit symbols which are received at input stage of A/D converter, and the other is a modified fast decoding algorithm which is provided for realizing double error correction of (31,21)BCH signal. The PSP is composed of six functional modules, and each module is modelled in VHDL(VHSIC Hardware Description Language). Both functional simulation and logic synthesis have performed for the proposed PSP through the use of Synopsys$^{TM}$ tools on a Axil-320 Workstation, and where Altera 10K libraries are used for logic synthesis. From logic synthesis, we can see that the number of gates is about 2,631. For FPGA implementation, timing simulation is performed by using Altera MAX+ PLUS II, and its results will be also given. The PSP which is implemented in 6 FPGA devices on a PCB has been verified by means of Logic Analyzer.r.

A Unified Data Model for Conceptual Data Modeling (개념적 데이타 모델링을 위한 통합 데이타 모델)

  • In this paper, a conceptual data model, called the UDM(Unified Data Model), to efficiently represent database structures related with object technology and complex structured data, is proposed. This model integrates major features of modern data models, such as E-R model, Semantic Object Model, and UML, especially from the viewpoint of database design. This model is basically a simplified, but extended version of the Object-Relationship Model, which was proposed to model complex structures of temporal-spatial multimedia data. This model incorporates some of the important semantic and structural information of modern database applications and it is designed to support all of the major logical database models, including relational, object-relational, object-oriented, and (semi-)structured databases. A special diagrammatic technique, called the UDD(Unified Data Diagram), is introduced as a tool for database design. Also, possible ways to derive logical views of data from this unified data model are presented. The proposed model can be utilized as a convenient and practical tool for conceptual database designs.

  • As the paradigm of manufacturing and production is also changing in line with the fourth industrial revolution, the social demands and directions for Industry 4.0 cannot be reversed, and the scalability and universality of 3D printing technology are attracting attention. 3D printer is a technology developed for the purpose of reducing product development costs, and with the recent expiration of 3D printer technology patent, related technology has been revealed and various technologies applied are being researched and developed, and various singularities have been discovered and supplemented. Thus, to compensate for the inconvenience of the current output method, which requires direct offline adjustment of the machine in the use of 3D printers and 3D printing through direct input of modeling data, the design of the IoT system is proposed to perform real-time online output requests for multiple 3D printers, monitoring functions that can expect normal outputs, and online real-time remote management functions for multiple 3D printers.

  • Software produce line engineering is a method that prepares for future reuse and supports seamless reuse in the application development process. Analyzing the commonality and variability between products in a product line is one of the essential concerns that must be considered when building a product line. In this paper, we suggest to combine a product line engineering approach with RFID applications technology. More concretely, common activities are identified among the RFID-enable applications and the variability in the common activities is analyzed in detail. Then, we suggest reusable product line architecture as a product line asset. In addition, as a tool for supporting this research, a framework which provides both reusable product line architecture for REID applications and the components that implement concrete realization of the architecture is developed. Sharing a common architecture and reusing assets to deploy recurrent services may be considered an advantage in terms of economic significance and overall quality.

  • In this paper, we implement a high-speed swatch tilth the function for label integration to enhance the expansion of networks using the label space of routers efficiently on MPLS over ATM networks. We propose an appropriate hardware structure to support the VC-merge function and differentiated services simultaneously. In this paper, we use the adaptive congestion control method such as EPD algorithm in carte that there is a possibility of network congestion in output buffers of each core LSR. In addition, we justify the validity of the proposed VC-merge method through simulation and comparison to conventional Non VC-merge methods. The proposed VC-merge capable switch is modeled in VHDL. synthesized, and fabricated using the SAMSUNG 0.5um SOG process.

  • Network management system(NMS) provides not only effective monitoring and controlling of network which consists of heterogeneous network elements but prompt response to users' need for high-level communication services. Recommendations of ITU-T and ISO stipulate the managerial abstraction of static and dynamic characteristics of network elements, management functions as well as management communication protocol. But the current description method does not provide the formal mechanism for the behavior characteristics of managed objects in clear manner but in natural language form, the complete specification of managed objects is not fully described. In this paper, we describe determinants for the behaviour of managed objects applicable to every managed object, and present a language for specifying behavioral aspects of managed objects based on their temporal and active properties.

  • 21C 현대 문명사회에서는 도시의 고밀도 및 팽창으로 인하여 도시 내 생태계가 파괴되면서 생물서식처의 환경 악화 및 엄청난 감소가 초래되었으며, 그 결과로 인하여 인간과 생물이 접촉할 수 있는 공간이 현저하게 줄어들고 있다. 또한 도시 영역의 확장을 위하여 산림 및 녹지의 감소, 녹지의 분절 및 단절화, 해안 매립 등이 계획 없이 무분별하게 진행됨으로써, 각종 동식물의 개체 수 감소 및 토양의 건조화 등이 발생하고 있으며, 그 영향으로 생물종의 다양성이 떨어지고, 도시 생태계의 교란이 심해지고 있다. 이러한 도시 생태계의 교란은 도시에 거주하고 있는 시민들의 생활의 질이 떨어지게 하고 많은 환경 문제들의 주원인이 되고 있다. 지속적이면서도 자연친화적인 도시발전을 위해서는 도시 내 자연생태계를 회복하고 생물서식공간을 종합적으로 보전하면서 복원해야 한다는 요구가 높아지고 있지만, 이를 체계적으로 이루기 위한 방법론의 부재에 시달리고 있었다. 이러한 가운데 유럽을 중심으로 생겨난 비오톱(Biotope)과 비오톱 지도화 방법이 생태계를 보전하며, 시민들에게 다양한 자연체험과 휴양 기회를 제공하고 친환경적인 도시계획을 위한 핵심적인 역할을 하는 것으로 인식되고 있다. 하지만, 기존의 비오톱 지도는 이미지 기반의 2차원 지도로 제공되고 있어, 거리 및 공간 분석에 취약하고 정보전달력이 부족하여, 익숙한 전문가가 아닌 경우 비오톱을 이해하는데 상당한 정도의 시간이 필요하였다. 이에 본 논문에서는 공간정보가 결여된 2차원 형태의 GIS 데이터를 기반으로 3차원 공간 데이터를 자동으로 생성하고, 위성영상과 DEM(Digital Elevation Model)을 이용하여 3차원 지형을 만들어 각 주제도별로 입체적인 분석이 가능하도록 하였다. 또한 동영상 녹화 기능과 3차원 객체 추가 기능을 이용하여, 자연생태계를 고려한 도시의 설계를 진행하는 경우 3차원적인 모델링을 제공함으로써 효과적이면서도 사용자의 이해도를 향상 시킬 수 있는 정보 전달력을 가질 수 있도록 설계 및 구현하였다.

  • 수자원의 개발은 세계적으로 경제, 사회적 발전에 중요한 역할을 해왔으며, 특히 하천은 그 발전의 원동력이 되어 왔다. 하지만 우리나라의 경우, 급속한 산업화와 도시화로 인해 치수에 집중된 개발을 해왔기 때문에, 하천의 환경 생태적 기능은 중요시되지 않아왔다. 최근에서야 하천의 환경적 기능의 제고를 위한 연구의 필요성이 대두되고, 하천생태계의 서식공간을 가능한 한 자연상태로 보전하고자 하는 노력이 늘어나면서, 생태계를 고려한 하천유지유량(생태유량) 산정에 관한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 위와 같이 생태유량을 산정하는 방법으로는 유지유량증분법이 가장 널리 이용되고 있으며, 이를 위해서는 각 어종별 서식처적합도지수를 구축하여야 한다. 이는 수생 서식처 모델링에 사용되는 물리적 인자에 대한 정량적 지수이다. 국내의 경우도, 수계별 어류조사를 수행하고 있으나 대부분이 출현어종분류 및 출현율 등에 국한되어 있어 물리적 인자를 도출하기 어려운 실정이고, 장기간 실측자료의 부족으로 대부분 전문가의 판단에 의존하고 있다. 따라서 이러한 객관적인 서식처 적합도지수의 부재는 생태유량 산정에 있어 큰 어려움을 준다. 본 연구에서는 이런 부족한 국내의 서식처 적합도지수에 객관성을 부여하고, 좀 더 표준화된 방법론을 제시하기 위해 장기간의 현장모니터링 자료를 이용하여 전문가의 주관적인 판단이 배제된 추계학적 방법을 이용한 서식처 적합도 지수를 산정하고, 이를 이용해 적절한 생태유량을 구하는 방법을 제안하고자 한다. 본 연구에서 사용된 자료는 2007-2010년, 'Ecoriver21사업단'의 '생태유량 산정 및 확보기술개발' 과제에서 한국수자원공사가 수행한 현장모니터링 자료이다. 자료 수집 대상지역은 한강과 금강 수계이며 41개 어종에 대한 자료가 수집되었으나 그 중 다른 어종에 비해 상대적으로 많은 현장 데이터가 존재하고, 본 모니터링에서도 한강과 금강 두 수계에서 모두 우점종으로 나타난 피라미를 이용하여 새로운 서식처 적합도 지수 산정 방법의 제안 및 기존 방법에 의한 지수와 비교하였다.
