  • In this study, it argues that adolescents lack awareness of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and lack of job expression in games, and suggests promising future vocational education through games. Various previous studies reviewed job education, limitations, and educational effects of online games, and studied job expression in the game from the perspective of future promising jobs, and 45 out of 200 jobs appeared in mobile simulation games. It was found that 'content creators', 'drone experts', and 'software developers' were expressed as promising jobs in the future. Although it has a limitation of investigating only the main character's job, it is meaningful that it pointed out that the current game does not sufficiently cover the functional aspects of vocational education for future promising jobs and suggested the need to reflect future promising jobs.

Because the sound stimuli could arouse a person into the physiological excitement and sensitivity, which appear as the changes of heartbeat, blood pressure, brain waves(EEG) signals. In this paper, we would like to examine whether the game music mixed with relaxing white noises has an effect to relax game player or not through the EEG changes of game players. For the experiment, we divided game players into group A that plays game while hearing game music mixed with white noises, and group B that plays game while hearing game music not mixed. And we measured the EEG changes of the prefrontal lobe between two groups. The result shows that the game music mixed with white noises has an relaxing effect for the left brain, but fall short of the expectations for the right brain. It would be a basic research which will contribute to the development of serious games for psychotherapy using relaxing white noises.

We conducted a survey based on former researches and verified outcomes through empirical analysis. The results proposed that intrinsic and extrinsic motivation have positive influence on game loyalty, and flow has the mediating effect of this relationship. Additionally, extrinsic motivation has less impact on game loyalty and flow than intrinsic motivation does. The inherent value of game players from this paper will promote the development of VR(virtual reality) games or serious games.

  • The purpose of Serious games in immersive Metaverse platform to provide users both fun and intriguing learning experiences. We proposes a serious game for self-trainable fire evacuation drill with collaboration among avatars synchronized with multiple trainees and optionally with real-time supervising placed at different remote physical locations. The proposed system architecture is composed of wearable motion sensors and a Head Mounted Display to synchronize each user's intended motions to her/his avatar activities in a cyberspace in Metaverse environment. The proposed system provides immersive as well as inexpensive environments for easy-to-use user interface for cyber experience-based fire evacuation training system. The proposed configuration of the user-avatar interface, the collaborative learning environment, and the evaluation system on the VR serious game are expected to be applied to other serious games. The game was implemented only for the predefined fire scenario for buildings, but the platform can extend its configuration for various disaster situations that may happen to the public.

  • Recently, the drone industry is rapidly expanding as it is suggested that it will be used in various fields. As the size of the drone market grows, interest in drone-related certificates is also increasing. However, the current drone-related qualification system and education system are insufficient. Thus this study, analyzed the necessity of drone training, the features of functional games, and the effectiveness of educational training using AR through related technical studies to solve the practical difficulties of drone educational training. Later, drone educational training game contents using AR were divided into practice mode and test mode based on the drone national qualification course practical test, and the result screen was displayed at the end of the curriculum so that players could learn by level and evaluate the results on their own. In addition, constructed a hybrid processing system and network and AR operation system for response rate and response speed, implemented drone training game contents utilizing AR based on the design contents. It is expected that the use of game content using AR presented in this paper for drone training will further alleviate environmental difficulties and improve the sense of immersion in play, which will lead to a more effective drone educational training experience.
