Experimental Study of Transition to Secondary Acoustic Instability at Downward-Propagating Premixed Flame in a Tube (튜브 내 하향 전파하는 예혼합 화염의 이차 열음향 불안정성 천이에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • Thermoacoustic instability caused by air conditioning in a combustion chamber has emerged as a problem that must be solved to establish a stable combustion system. Thermoacoustic instability is largely divided into primary and secondary acoustic instability. In this study, an experimental study of the effects of heat losses was conducted to investigate the mechanism of secondary acoustic instability. To generate the secondary acoustic instability, a quarter-wavelength resonator with one open end and one closed end was used, and the inside of the resonator was filled with premixed gases. Subsequently, secondary acoustic instability with downward-propagating flames could be realized via thermal expansion on the burnt side. To control heat losses qualitatively, an additional co-axial tube was installed in the resonator with air or nitrogen supply. Therefore, additional diffusion flames can be formed at the top of the resonator depending on the injection of the oxidizer into the co-axial tube when rich premixed flames are used. Consequently, secondary acoustic instability could not be achieved by increasing heat losses to the ambient when the additional diffusion flame was not formed, and the opposite result was obtained with the additional diffusion flame.

Experimental Study of Wireless Communication System by Surface wave Communication through Confined Spaces on Vessels (선박 밀폐 공간 무선통신 구현을 위한 표면파 통신의 선박 활용 연구)

  • This study suggests surface wave communication, which uses a metal surface as a medium, to provide wireless communication in the extreme environment due to surrounding metal materials on vessels. The test was conducted on a G/T 265 tons tug boat, and to confirm the possibility of surface wave communication between a bridge and each designated space in the boat. As a result, the transmission speed was 13Mbps in average. For the test case between the bridge and the engine room, transmission speed was 4.3Mbps while the engine was on, and 1.2Mbps during sailing. It was able to be overcome by partially changing the equipment installation location. Surface wave communication in a bow storage, a fully enclosed space, had 8Mbps better transmission speed than wireless communication; this confirmed the superiority of surface wave communication in confined spaces on a vessel. Additional surface wave generators were designed and applied to resolve the paint issue. It is expected to apply surface wave communication to implement the new wireless solution on vessels.

처분환경에서 처분용기 재질의 부식

  • 고준위폐기물 혹은 사용후 핵연료의 처분용기 재질은 각 국의 처분개념과 처분공의 주위 환경에 따라 달라질 수 있다. 용기의 후보재질로는 탄소강, 스텐레스 강, 구리, 니켈, 티탄 혹은 이들의 합금이 주로 고려되고 있으나, 국내에서는 아직 선정되지 않았다. 국내 처분환경에서 이들 재질의 부식특성을 조사하고자 모의 화강암 지하수를 가해 만든 겔 상태의 경주 벤토나이트에 탄소강, 스텐레스 강, 구리 시편을 넣고, $70^{\circ}C$, 아르곤 분위기에서 530일 경과한 후 시편의 표면 변화 (그림 1) 및 무게 감소를 측정하였다. 철 부식시편은 검정색의 철 화합물 층으로 덮여 있었으며, 구리표면에는 노란색의 부식층이 형성되었는데, 이를 XRD로 분석한 결과 $Cu_2O$로 판명되었다. 그러나 $700^{\circ}C$에서 각각 0, 24, 96시간동안 예민화시킨 스텐레스 강 시편들은 모두 초기상태 그대로 광택을 유지하고 있었으며, XRD에서 다른 화합물의 형성을 발견할 수 없었다 (그림 2). 시편의 무게 감소가 균일부식에 기인한 것으로 가정하여 환산한 결과, 구리와 스텐레스 강 모두 0.3~0.4 $\mu\textrm{m}/yr$의 부식속도를 나타내었다. 그러나 구리는 부식생성물이 표면에 부착되어 있기 때문에 실제 부식두께는 이 값보다 더 클 것으로 생각된다. 용기가 초기 530일간과 같은 속도로 처분용기의 부식이 진행된다면 한국에서 기준처분 개념으로 삼고 있는 50mm 두께의 내부식성 외벽 금속용기는 적어도 만년이상 견딜 수 있을 것으로 추정된다. 한편, 검정색 부식층을 제거한 무게감소로부터 계산한 철의 부식속도는 구리의 약 30배에 해당하였다. 금속 재질의 정확한 부식 거동을 파악하기 위해서는 보다 장기간의 실험이 요구된다. 시험법 선정에 각계(규제기관, 학계, 발전소 현장 및 산업계 등) 전문가로부터 기술자문회의를 통하여 자문 의견을 받기로 하였다. 특히 현재 폐기물 인수 기술기준치가 설정된 국가의 시험법을 심층 있게 검토하기로 하였다.검토하기로 하였다. 혹은 수성주변 환경이 지배하는 산악이나 구릉지에서 흔히 나타나는 침엽수-낙엽활엽수의 혼합림 식생상태를 잘 대변해 주고 있는 것으로 판단된다. 끝으로, 의림지 호저 퇴적층 중에서 인위적인 교란흔적이 없는 암회색 유기질 니층에 대한 탄소연대측정 결과, 제1호공 12번 시료에서 950$\pm$40 years B.P을 얻었으며, 제3-1호공에서도 아래로 내려가면서 8, 10, 11번 시료에 대하여 500$\pm$30 years B.P, 650$\pm$30 years B.P, 800$\pm$40 years B.P의 연대측정 결과를 획득하였다. 이상과 같은 의림지 호저 퇴적층의 형성환경과 형성시기 연구를 통하여 의림지의 제방축조의 최초시기를 해석해 보면, 의림지의 제방은 적어도 과거 약 827년 전에서 866년 전에는 이미 축조되어 있었음을 알 수 있다. 과거 제천 일대에 살았던 옛사람들이 의림지 하류의 곡지중앙과 고기 충적선상지에 대한 관계용 용수조달의 필요성에 부응하여 상류부 곡지하천의 자연입지 환경을 최대한 이용하여 축조한 것으로 판단된다..준비하였다.전류를 구성하는 주요 입자의 에너지 영역(75~l13keV)에서 가장 높은(0.80) 상관계수를 기록했다. 넷째, 회복기 중에 일어나는 입자들의 유입은 자기폭풍의 지속시간을 연장시키는 경향을 보이며 큰 자기폭풍일수록 현저했다. 주상에서 관측된 이러한 특성은 서브스톰 확장기 활동이 자기폭풍의 발달과 밀접한 관계가 있음을 시사한다.se that were all low

  • Small and medium-sized companies (SMEs) face a number of different kinds of barriers to adopt information technology, including the lack of information, limited financial and technical resources, and absence of the well-trained work force in the realm of information technology. But application service provider (ASP)enables these SMEs to informatize. This paper is focused on studying the cases of the adoption and use of the ASP-based ERP systems that 7 SME shad adopted. The factors that influence the adoption and use of SMEs' ASP-based ERP systems are divided into the user companies that adopted the systems, the systems vendors, and environment. From the viewpoint of the user company, the successful adoption and use of the systems is significantly influenced by the clear motive of adopting the systems, the financial readiness, and the strong intention of CEO for pushing ahead with e-Business. From the systems vendor, it is influenced by the technical expertise of the vendor, the knowledge of the user company, and the experience of the systems development. From the perspective of environment, it is influenced by the push from the players in the value chains. The companies that had adopted the ASP-based ERP systems and that had extended the level of systems use had the benefits through reducing the cost, improving the internal business process, and achieving the learning and growth of the organization.

  • According to the IPCC, humans are influencing the climate system. Such changes in the climate system can cause problems in the supply of food ingredients in the agricultural field by changing the existing growing environment. To solve this problem, vertical farms can be a good alternative for a stable supply of food ingredients. Although the vertical smart farm pays close attention to maintaining and managing the growing environment of crops, it is difficult to uniformly implement temperature, humidity, illumination, oxygen, and carbon dioxide concentrations in the building space. As a result of conducting computational fluid dynamics analysis to ensure air uniformity, a remarkable result is that it is advantageous to continuously spray suitable carbon dioxide CO2 concentrations for a long period of time for air uniformity in a vertical smart farm. Through this result, it is possible to efficiently plan a growing environment system optimized for a vertical smart farm. Based on this study, if efficient crops are produced by creating an optimized growing environment for vertical smart farms, it will be able to contribute to the development of the agricultural field.

Development Plan of R.O.K. Naval forces to prepare Tasks in the Arctic Ocean: Based on Operational Environment(SWOT) Analysis (한국 해군의 북극해 진출과 발전방안에 대한 고찰: 작전환경(SWOT) 분석을 중심으로)

  • Because of the global warming, the Arctic Ocean is expected to be ice-free by the year 2035. When the Arctic Ocean will be opened, a number of national interests will become more salient as experiencing a shortened sailing distance and decreasing navigation expense, possibility of natural resources transport by sea from Arctic Circle, and indirect-profit making by building a herb port in Asia. To secure the national interests and support the free activities of people in this region, R.O.K government is trying to make advanced policies. In order to carry out the naval tasks in the Arctic Ocean, using the operational characteristics(mobility, flexibility, sustainability, presence of capabilities, projection) is necessary. To this end, ROK Navy should analyze the operational environment (O.E.) by its capability(weakness and strength), opportunity, and threat. R.O.K. Navy should make an effort over the following issues to implement the tasks in the Arctic Ocean: first, Navy needs to map out her own plan (Roadmap) under the direction of government policies and makes crews participate in the education·training programs in home and abroad for future polar experts. Third, to develop the forces and materials for the tasks in cold, far operations area, Navy should use domestic well-experienced shipbuilding skills and techniques of the fourth industrial revolution. Next, improving the combined operations capabilities and military trust with other countries in the Arctic region to cover the large area with lack of forces' number and to resolve the ports of call issues. Lastly, preparation in advance to execute a variety of missions against military and non-traditional threats such as epidemics, HA/DR, SOLAS, in the future operation area is required.

  • Information service technology continues to develop, and information service continues to expand based on the IT convergence trend. The premeter-based security model chosen by many organizations can increase the effectiveness of security technologies. However, in the premeter-based security model, it is very difficult to deny security threats that occur from within. To solve this problem, a zero trust model has been proposed. The zero trust model requires authentication for user and terminal environments, device security environment verification, and real-time monitoring and control functions. The operating environment of the information service may vary. Information security management should be able to response effectively when security threats occur in various systems at the same time. In this study, we proposed a security policy distribution system in the object reference method that can effectively distribute security policies to many systems. It was confirmed that the object reference type security policy distribution system proposed in this study can support all of the operating environments of the system constituting the information service. Since the policy distribution performance was confirmed to be similar to that of other security systems, it was verified that it was sufficiently effective. However, since this study assumed that the security threat target was predefined, additional research is needed on the identification method of the breach target for each security threat.

  • This study focuses on resetting the direction of the universities' accountability introducing the notion of accountability which is a new paradigm in the setting of records management.. First, we analyze the notion and structure of accountability, and then demonstrate the need of accountability in the university. And we try to deduce factors for accountability through cases of foreign universities. Based on this, we analyze the present status of records management of domestic universities. Based on the results of analysis, this study suggests several proposals. First, university records need to be reset. Second, regulations related to tasks in the university should be improved. Third, the function of university archives should be strengthened. Forth, the process of university records management should be reset. Fifth, in order to settle down accountability of the university in a right way, proper systems and procedures to regulate it are necessary so that the university can perform accountability properly outside the university.

  • As propagation of mobile smart devices is widespread, it is an observable trend that the cases of utilizing them are increasing in the school programs, and it is also anticipated that they will be very important part of the educational equipment in near future. For this reason the department of education and science technology has announced a medium and long term project on the education with smart device, which is undergoing the preparation stage, and the various academic and industrial institutes have actively produced the related research results and the application prototypes. In this paper we propose a framework on design and implementation of a visual context recognition system for educational purpose usable in the school program by utilizing a module for recognition of the texts embedded in the image captured by video camera from mobile smart device. The system proposed in this paper is consisted of the four modules, such as, image acquisition, image processing, information extraction, and knowledge representation, which are explained in details with the practical examples.

  • Under uncertain environments it is necessary for world-class technological capacity to obtain for making the important role in a national development and industrial infrastructure. For strengthening technological capacity based on R&D excellence we have an exploratory study on the cases of excellent technology and excellent organization of public R&D institutes. What consistently revealed in the whole cases of public R&D institutes is to obtain the technological capacity in the world-class level and we could verify it in the cases of global leading technology, flagship project, world innovative technology, world class laboratory, global top group and so on. For enhancing the technological capacity of R&D objects we could consider prospecting sustainedly for the technological capacity of the organizations in order to appear the excellent technological performance, industrializing it as a R&D program or a new growth engine, and forming the organizational consensus of recognizing its technology or organization they selected as the world-class level.
