This study aimed to clarify any factors that may have effect on the appropriateness of hospital admission and hospitalization with the intention of facilitating more efficient occupancy of hospital beds and better medical services in the aspect of their quality, minimizing unnecessary occupancy of beds, and ultimately helping patients requiring acute treatments to use immediately hospitals. This paper selected 154 Stroke patients who left neurology department of one general hospital from March, 1, 2006 to September, 31, 2010 as targets to meet the rate according to medical care security and to see the trend of recent 4 years. As study method, this paper analized medical treatment record with AEP to evaluate the appropriateness of hospital admission and stay and the collected data was computerized through SPSS 12.0. Based upon the results above, the conclusion was drawn that the higher appropriateness of hospital admission and the shorter length of hospital stay will lead to the higher appropriateness of hospitalization. In other words, it is required to provide hospitalized patients with all kinds of behaviors including medical treatments and nursing care service, management of pharmaceuticals, tests, rehabilitation and symptoms, as well as instructions and information for patients. Meanwhile, as it was found that the length of hospital stay may affect the appropriateness of hospitalization, the longer length of hospital stay may result in reduced bed turnover rate. In this light, it is necessary to organize a task force team responsible for evaluation and control of the appropriateness of hospitalization and hospital stay length to improve the quality of medical service in a medical center, so that patients can leave the center timely. Ultimately, governmental supports such as expansion of long-term care facilities will reduce the necessary length of hospital stay so that patients with stroke can receive rehabilitative treatments and long-term care service shortly after completion of acute treatments.

This occurs when the unbalanced rotating body is inconsistent with the mass center line axis geometric center line. Wheelsets are assembled by a single axle with two wheels and a rotating body of a running railway vehicle. Owing to non-uniformity of the wheel material, the wear, and error of the wheel and axle assembly may cause an imbalance. Wheelsets will suffer the effects of vibrations due to the unbalanced mass, which becomes more pronounced due to the thin and high-speed rotation compared to the shaft diameter This can affect the driving safety and the running behavior of a rail car during high-speed running. Therefore, this study examined this unbalanced wheel using a railway vehicle multibody dynamics analysis tool to assess the impact of the dynamic VI-Rail movement of high-speed railway vehicles. Increasing the extent of wheel imbalance on the analysis confirmed that the critical speed of a railway vehicle bogie is reduced and the high-speed traveling dropped below the vehicle dynamic behaviour. Therefore, the adverse effects of the amount of a wheel imbalance on travel highlight the need for management of wheel imbalances. In addition, the static and dynamic management needs of a wheel imbalance need to be presented to the national rail vehicles operating agency.
In this study a survey was conducted with tenth, eleventh, and twelfth-graders in some academic and vocational high schools in Seoul, Gyeonggi Province, and South Chungcheong Province from April 3 to 30, 2009; then, 600 questionnaires returned were analyzed, obtaining the following results. It was found that there were some differences in subjective perception and behavior among some high school students by school type (p<0.001). This suggests the need to make systematic programs within curricula for oral health education and prevention programs that practically help to improve oral health.

As environmental regulations such as the International Maritime Organization (IMO)'s strategy to reduce greenhouse gases(GHG) are strengthened, technology development such as eco-friendly ships and alternative fuels is expanding. As part of this, ship propulsion technology using energy reduction and wind propulsion technology is emerging, especially in shipping companies and shipbuilders. By securing wind propulsion technology and introducing empirical research into shipbuilding and shipping, a high value-added market using eco-friendly technology can be created. Moreover, by reducing the fuel consumption rate of operating ships, GHG can be reduced by 6-8%. Rotor Sail (RS) technology is to generate a hydrodynamic lift in the vertical direction of the cylinder when the circular cylinder rotates at a constant speed and passes through the fluid. This is called the Magnus effect, and this study attempted to propose a plan to increase propulsion efficiency through a numerical analysis study on turbulence flow characteristics around RS, a wind power assistance propulsion system installed on a ship. Therefore, CL and CD values according to SR and AR changes were derived as parameters that affect the aerodynamic force of the RS, and the flow characteristics around the rotor sail were compared according to EP application.

This paper discusses the control method of BLDC(Brushless Direct Current) motor that has similar electrical characteristics with DC motor but has improved its lifespan and reliability. The BLDC motor can improve durability and speed stability by using rotor position information to eliminate commutators that require mechanical contact with DC motors. In this study, a controller for a DC motor was designed based on the fact that the current in the windings of a BLDC motor is a square-wave current like the current flowing in the armature of a DC motor. Next, the designed controller was applied to a 3-phase BLDC motor to confirm the effectiveness of the controller. In detail, a single-phase DC motor with electrical parameter values of a three-phase BLDC motor was modeled and a PI controller for motor speed control was designed by applying the root locus method to the derived system. The speed control simulation of the DC motor was performed to confirm the validity of the controller, and the same controller was applied to the speed control of the 3-phase BLDC motor implemented in MATLAB. From the simulation, similar results of the DC motor were obtained in the 3 phase BLDC motor and confirmed the usefulness of the proposed control scheme.
Purpose: As the number of domestic medical institutions installing PET/CT is increasing rapidly, the transfer of PET/CT images among medical institutions is also increasing. Thus, it is necessary to collect the comparative SUV data from several medical institutions' PET/CT systems through a phantom study which semi-quantitatively compares the SUV on one bed, the change scale of the SUV on the slices, and the time of measuring. The phantom study to find differences among the SUVs from various PET/CT offers the opportunity to obtain the reliability of the SUV in PET/CT images. Materials and Methods: Ten PET/CT systems from medical institutions in Korea were used. To obtain the accurate data, the study has been using the radiation detector of Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science to verify. The internal structures of NEMA $phantom^{TM}$ were removed and Six thousand milliliters of distilled water which has 1mCi of $^{18}F$-FDG put into the phantom. The water was properly integrated with $^{18}F$-FDG using magnetic stirrer. The images were acquired at 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, 110 and 120-minutes for 3 minute each. Two hundred square centimeters of region of interests were placed and analyzed. To confirm the usefulness, the correction-table came out from patients' data. Results: The coefficient of variability of the SUV from -11.0 to 9.90 % fell into the range of international standards(${\pm}10%$) along with the SUV on a bed, the change scale of the SUV on the slices, and the time of measuring, except one PET/CT system. Using the data of the differences among the SUVs, we came to withdraw the correction-table ranging from 0.803 to 1.246. The correction-table was confirmed its usefulness through Linear Regression Analysis which was applied to normal cases. Conclusions: Although studies have been made on the variation of the SUV, there is little attention on the standardization of the SUV. Based on this study of the quantitatively comparable data about the SUV accommodating the correction-table, it would help to have more corrective diagnosis.

This is an experimental study on friction welding and heat treatment of engine exhaust valve materials whose welding combination is SCr4 as stem to 21-4N as head and SUH3 to 21-4N. In this study, not only the experiments of friction welding under the selected optimum welding condition and the examination of the mechanical properties were carried out, but also the heat treatment of friction welded specimens under the two selected conditions was taken to obtain the better welding character, eliminating the latent stress and the hardness peak which appeared at the welded zones of heat resisting steel(21-4N, SUH3) and low alloyed steel ($SCr_4$) friction weldments. The results obtained by the experiments and consideration in this study are as follows: I) It was experimentally proved quite reasonable that 'speed=3,OOO rpm, heating pressure Pl=8 kg/ mm2, upsetting pressure p, = 20 kg/mm', heating time $t_1$ = 3 see, upsetting time TEX>$t_2$ = 2.5 sec' was selected as the optimum welding condition for friction-welding the engine exhaust valve materials $SCr_4$ to 21-4 Nand SUH 3 to 21-4 N. 2) The results of the previous study and this one on friction welding of such dissimilar materials as SUH 3-SUH 31, SCr 4-SUH 31, SCr 4-SUH 3, SUH 3-CRK 22, SCr4-21-4 Nand SUH3-21-4 N agreed with each other substantially in the friction welding characteristics at welded interface zones. 3) It was also certified quite satisfactory that '600\ulcornerCX30 min. Xroom air cooling' as an optimum heat treatment condition of the friction welded materials SCr 4-21-4 Nand SUH 3-21-4 N was experimentally determined to eliminate the latent stress and the hardness peak at welded zones. 4) About 20% of the tensile strength before heat treatment of friction welded specimens was decreased after heat treatment 600\ulcornerCX30 min. Xair cooling, but the location of fracture was moved from heat affected zone to parent $SCr_4$ & SUH3. 5) Microscopic examination of the weld joints friction-welded and heat-treated under the above mentioned conditions revealed that the weld zone is very narrow and has a fine grained intermixed structure without any welding defects. 6) The above mentioned conditions can be also utilized as friction welding parameters of the other dissimiar materials for engine valve production.

The authors carried out an experiment to determine the vertical opening of the midwater trawl, which is the same used in the former experiment in this series of studies. To determine the vertical opening of otter board and front weight, three fish finders were used. A 200 KHz fish finder set on board the research vessel was used to sound the depth of water. A transmitter of 50 KHz fish finder was set through the shoe plate of otter board to determine the height of otter board from the sea bed, and a transmitter of another 50 KHz fish finder was set downwardly on the net pendant right before the front weight to determine the height of weight from the sea bed. The depth of otter board and weight were calculated by subtract the height of those from the depth of water, respectively. To determine the vertical opening of mouth, a transmitter of net recorder was set on the head rope and the vertical opening of that to ground rope was directly read on the recording paper. The results obtained can be summarized as follows: 1. The rate of the depth of otter board to the length of warp was in the range of 0.44 to 0.25, and the depth was linearly shoaled about 5m per 0.1m/sec of the towing speed or per 20rpm of the main engine. The rate of the observed depth to the calculated depth of otter board was in the range of 0.92 to 0.080 with a decreasing tendancy in accordance with the increase of towing speed. 2. The depth of head rope was 2 to 3m deeper than that of otter board, and the vertical opening of net mouth was in the range of 22 to 19m, with a decreasing tendancy in accordance with the increase of towing speed, 3. The difference of depth between front weight and otter board was about 20m and 22m respectively in the length of warp 100m and 150m without distinct change in accordance with the towing speed. The depth of front weight was 2 to 3m shallower than that of ground rope. 4. The changing range of depth of head rope according to the revolution of main engine was about 4m per 20rpm.

Global discussions are actively underway regarding the introduction of urban air mobility (UAM) to revolutionize the paradigm in the innovative mobility industry. While research related to airspace, vertiports, navigation, and communication pertinent to Korean UAM is actively pursued by relevant research institutions, there is a significant dearth in studies focusing on establishing concepts for operational management by UAM operators and formulating control procedures. The commercialization of UAM necessitates the establishment of standardized operational management concepts, pivotal as benchmarks for the individual system development among multiple UAM operators. This paper analyzes UAM exceptional law, operational readiness, existing regulations pertaining to commercial and rotary-wing aircraft, and proposes suitable approaches to formulate domestic low-density operational management and control procedures. By presenting strategies for conceptualizing operational management and control procedures in the initial low-density environment for UAM, this paper aspires to contribute to future trail operations and the wider adoption of UAM.
