The ROK military faces a significant challenge in its vigilance mission due to demographic problems, particularly the current aging population and population cliff. This study demonstrates the crucial role of the 4th industrial revolution and its core artificial intelligence algorithm in maximizing work efficiency within the Command&Control room by mechanizing simple tasks. To achieve a fully developed military surveillance system, we have chosen multi-object tracking (MOT) technology as an essential artificial intelligence component, aligning with our goal of an intelligent and automated surveillance system. Additionally, we have prioritized data visualization and user interface to ensure system accessibility and efficiency. These complementary elements come together to form a cohesive software application. The CCTV video data for this study was collected from the CCTV cameras installed at the 1st and 2nd main gates of the 00 unit, with the cooperation by Command&Control room. Experimental results indicate that an intelligent and automated surveillance system enables the delivery of more information to the operators in the room. However, it is important to acknowledge the limitations of the developed software system in this study. By highlighting these limitations, we can present the future direction for the development of military surveillance systems.
Hydrofluoroethers (HFEs) with fluoride molecules in their structure which are evaluated as the third generation replacement alternatives to chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) are known to be excellent for removal of nanoparticles and fluoride-type soils due to their low surface tension and high wetting index. In addition, HFEs have good physical properties with no flash point and excellent drying characteristics. But, HFEs also have shortcomings in that they are not effective for removal of organic soils due to their poor solubility in soil. In this study, $C_5$ HFE-based cleaning agents were formulated through addition of solvents such as isopropyl alcohol (IPA), ethyleneglycol monoether (EG), propyleneglycol monoethylether (PM) to HFE-7100 [$CF_3CF_2CF_2CF_2OCH_3$] or HFE-mec-f [$CF_3CHF=CF_2OCH_2CF_3$] with its maximum amount, respectively, in order to have no flash point for the safety in the working environment. These solvents are known to be excellent for dissolving organics in soil. Their physical properties and cleaning abilities for fluxes, water-insoluble cutting oils, and fluoride-type oils were evaluated and compared with those of other cleaning agents with single components. The experimental results show that the HFE-based formulated cleaning agents have various good physical properties which are almost similar to those of a single type of HFE cleaner. They show excellent cleaning ability for fluxes, water-insoluble cutting oils, and fluoride-type oils. These results indicate that the HFE-based formulated cleaning agents can be applicable to various industrial cleaning fields because of their good physical properties and cleaning abilities for various soils.
For the practical use of improved interlaminar fracture toughness by interleaving carbon non-woven tissue (CNWT), intelaminar fracture toughnesses of CFRP laminates with CNWT having different weights were experimentally investigated. A suitable weight of interleaved CNWT in CFRP laminates was discussed with Mode I and Mode II tests. Mode I and Mode II interlaminar fracture toughnesses (GIC and GIIC) were obtained by DCB and ENF tests. Six kinds of specimens with CNWT were prepared. The weights of CNWT per square meter for six types of specimens are $8g/m^2,\;10g/m^2,\;12g/m^2,\;16g/m^2,\;20g/m^2$, and $24g/m^2$, respectively. The mean GIC and GIIC values of six kinds of specimens were not substantially different from one another. Compared with the CFRP specimen, the mean GIC values of six kinds of specimens were slightly decreased. But the mean GIIC values increased tremendously at least twice by interleaving CNWT. It seems that there is no interrelationship between the interlaminar fracture toughnesses (GIC and GIIC) and the interleaving CNWT weights. Consequently, it would be desirable to use the CNWT of $8g/m^2$ among the six kinds of CNWTs to take advantage of the interlaminar fracture toughness improved by interleaving CNWT, because the CNWT of $8g/m^2$ is a lightweight and low-priced material.

This study investigated 110 contractual industries to identify the effects of curriculum development and educational environment improvement through Ulsan College LINC+ Program on job education and training. As a result of the study, core competency and job competency were 5.73 points each in field practice and educational environment, and job performance was significant with OJT 5.58 points and 5.74 points for educational environment(p<0.05). The relationship between suitability of the curriculum, educational environment, and recruitment performance was significant with 5.73 points for OJT, 5.74 points for field training during the education and training period, and 5.79 points for educational environment, and job reeducation/training expense was significant with 5.73 points for OJT and 5.79 points for educational environment(p<0.05). Also, students who completed the LINC+business curriculum shortened their job period by 1 to 6 months in 86.3% of the respondents, and responded that the education expense for new employees was reduced. Therefore, it was identified that the LINC+ Program of Ulsan College has the effect of shortening the job adaptation period and reducing education expenses for new employees by operating the curriculum reflecting the needs of the industry and improving the same educational environment as the industrial field.

At the modern industry, the composite material has been widely used. Particularly, the material of carbon fiber reinforced plastic hardened with resin on the basis of fiber is excellent. As the specific strength and rigidity are also superior, it receives attention as the light material. Among these materials, the carbon fiber reinforced plastic using carbon fiber has the superior mechanical property different from another fiber. So, it is utilized in vehicle and airplane at which high strength and light weight are needed at the same time. In this paper, the tensile property due to the fiber design is investigated through the analysis study with CT specimen composed of carbon plastic reinforced plastic. At the stress analysis of CFRP composite material with hole, the fracture trend at the tensile environment is examined. Also, it is shown that the lowest stress value happens and the deformation energy of the pre-crack becomes lowest at the analysis model composed of the stacking angle of 60° through the result due to the stacking angle. On the basis of this study result, it is thought to apply the foundation data to anticipate the fracture configuration at the structure applied with the practical experiment.
This study estimates the technical efficiency and total factor productivity(TFP) of and analyzes the relationship between TFP and exports for Korean manufacturing companies from 2000 to 2016. Specially, TFP is decomposed into Technical Change(TC), Technical Efficiency Change (TEC), and Sale Effect(SE), and compared between large and small enterprises. First, in the case of technical efficiency, the Korean economy has been very vulnerable to external shocks, such as the sharp decline following the 2008 financial crisis. The efficiency of the electronics, automobile, and machinery sectors is low and needs to be improved. In addition, the technological efficiency of large enterprises is higher than that of SMEs in most manufacturing sub-sectors except for non-ferrous metals. In the case of TFP, most changes are due to TC, and the effective combination of labor, capital and the effect of scale have little effect, suggesting that improvement of internal structure is urgent. In addition, volatility due to the impact of the financial crisis in 2008 was much larger in SMEs than in large companies, so external economic impacts are more greater for SMEs than large enterprises. The relationship between TFP decomposition factors and exports shows that TC has a positive effect only on exports of SMEs. Therefore, in order to increase exports, in the case of SMEs, R&D support to promote technological development is needed. In the case of large companies, it is necessary to establish differentiated strategies for each export market, competitor company, and item to link efficiency and scale effect of exports.

The ice machine is the machine for making ice. As most of the companies that manufactures and sells the ice machine are small and medium-sized companies, they have been they have been experiencing the trouble for the after-sales service after selling the machine. The difficulties of the after-sales service are mostly caused by unnecessary customer service requests of the purchaser, which eventually leads to the unnecessary expenditure of the seller and the purchaser. However, financially, the poor ice machine manufacturers want to reduce this cost as much as possible. Furthermore, even if they want to sell their products overseas, they are hesitating because of the after-sales service. For this reason, the companies making the ice machine need a system which checks the status of the ice machine and takes the proper actions without the visiting service. Therefore, this paper introduces the remote control and operational status monitoring systems which can monitor the status of the ice machine in the remote area and control it as needed. Through the developed system, the company manufacturing the ice machine and the manager of the ice machine can understand the current status of the ice machine and respond against the ice machine's trouble, immediately. In addition, it can be expected to have great effects on cost reduction because the maintenance and management after selling can be efficiently performed.

Throughout all industries, eco-friendliness is being promoted worldwide with focus on suppressing the environmental impact. With recent international environment policies and regulations supported by government, the electric vehicles demand is expected to increase rapidly. Battery system itself perform an essential role in EVs technology that is arranged in cells, modules, and packs, and each of them are connected mechanically and electrically. A multifaceted approach is necessary for battery pack bonding technologies. In this paper, pros and cons of applicable bonding technologies, such as resistance welding, laser and ultrasonic bonding used in constructing electric vehicle battery packs were compared. Each bonding technique has different advantages and limitations. Therefore, several criteria must be considered when determining which bonding technology is suitable for a battery cell. In particular, the shape and production scale of battery cells are seen as important factors in selecting a bonding method. While dealing with the types and components of battery cells, package bonding technologies and general issues, we will review suitable bonding technologies and suggest future directions.

In recent years, use of machine automation is rising in the industry. Ships also obtain machine condition information from sensor as digital information. However, on ships, crew members regularly surveil the engine room to check the condition of equipment and their information through analog gauges. This is a time-consuming and tedious process and poses safety risks to the crew while on surveillance. To address this, engine room surveillance using an autonomous mobile robot is being actively explored as a solution because it can reduce time, costs, and the safety risks for crew. Analog gauge reading using an autonomous mobile robot requires digitization for the robot to recognize the gauge value. In this study, image processing techniques were applied to achieve this. Analog gauge images were subjected to image preprocessing to remove noise and highlight their features. The center point, indicator point, minimum value and maximum value of the analog gauge were detected through image processing. Through the straight line connecting these points, the angle from the minimum value to the maximum value and the angle from the minimum value to indicator point were obtained. The obtained angle is digitized as the value currently indicated by the analog gauge through a formula. It was confirmed from the experiments that the digitization of the analog gauge using image processing was successful, indicating the equivalent current value shown by the gauge. When applied to surveillance robots, this algorithm can minimize safety risks and time and opportunity costs of crew members for engine room surveillance.
This study aims to establish an evaluation model by quantifying the evaluation index as a follow-up study to the development of evaluation index for work-study parallel learning companies. An evaluation model was established by verifying the 2nd level components based on the quantitative factors of the learning company, the qualitative factors, the competency factors of the person in charge, and the competency factors of the learning workers, which are the highest-level components derived from previous study. For the evaluation of a learning company, an AHP survey was conducted with experts in charge of the company consulting to derive important factors that determine the quality of on-site education and training, and the evaluation model of the learning company was completed and grouped by calculating the weight between evaluation items proceeded. Work-study parallel program was promoted as a key policy to resolve the mismatch between industrial sites and school education and realize a competency-centered society, and as of December 2022, 16,664 companies participated in the training. Learning companies play a very important role as education and training supply organizations that conduct field training. It is expected that the support and consulting plan for each level of learning companies according to the evaluation model presented in this study will be used as basic data to improve the quality of work-study parallel program.
