Neuron Irradiation Effect and Intefrity of Nuclear Reactor Presure Vessel (원자로 압력용기에서의 중성자 조사효과 및 건전성)

  • 원자로 압력용기의 수명 및 건전성을 결정짓는 중성자 조사취화현상에 대해 손상과정, 기구, 영 향인자, 예측 및 평가방법을 소개하였다. 용기재료의 현상, 특성과 설계, 제조, 운전시의 건전성 확보를 위한 활동 및 방법도 함께 살펴보았다. 설계시는 물론 수명기간 동안 건전성을 유지하 면서 운전하고 나아가 수명연장 운전을 위해서는 용기의 상태(파괴인성치, 결함, 작용응력)를 정확히 진단, 예측, 평가해야 하고, 이들이 건전성에 미치는 영향평가와 건전성 평가방법을 통한 수명예측 기술의 확보가 매우 중요하다. 특히, 고리 1호기가 가동된지 15년이 되어 계속적인 감 시가 요구되고 수명연장 타당성 연구를 추진중에 있으며, 영광 3, 4호기를 시작으로 앞으로 건 설되는 원자로가 국내에서 제작 . 설치되고, 설계 및 소재의 국산화율을 높이고자 하는 우리나 라에서는 더욱 그러하다. 미소시험법 및 시편재활용 기술개발을 통한 시험자료의 확충과 국내 원자로에 대한 데이터베이스 구축 및 각 발전소 특유의 경향곡선 확립 . 적용이 필요하며, 조사 손상 기구 및 모델링 관련연구가 계속되어야 한다. 조사효과에 대한 기초 및 응용연구는 1994년 한국원자력연구소의 다목적연구용원자로(MRR ; multipurpose research reactor) 가동과 더불어 더욱 활발해질 것이다.

  • Data points obtained by conducting repetitive experiments under identical environmental conditions are, theoretically, required to correspond. However, experimental data often display variations due to generated errors or noise resulting from various factors and inherent uncertainties. In this study, an algorithm aiming to determine valid bounds of input variables, representing uncertainties, was developed using probabilistic and statistical methods. Furthermore, a reliability assessment was performed to verify and validate applications of this algorithm using bolt-fastening friction coefficient data in a sample application.

  • There are considerable concern on the methods for the efficient utilization of the test-resources as increasing of the number of the tests for functionality and performance verification of weapon systems. Furthermore, with an increase in the complexity of the resource assignment the decision support is required. Test resource allocation is basically the same problems as conventional NP-hard FJSP(Flexible Job Shop Problem), therefore empirical test resource allocation method that has been used in many decades is limited in the time performance. Although research has been conducted applying the genetic algorithm to the FJSP, it is limited in the test resource allocation domain in which more than one machine is necessary for a single operation. In this paper, a variable group genetic algorithm is proposed. The algorithm is expected to improve the test plan efficiency by automating and optimizing the existing manual based allocation. The simulation result shows that the algorithm could be applicable to the test plan.

  • 본 연구는 농업기계에 관한 정보를 종합적으로 체계화하여 데이터베이스로 구축하고 정보 수요자가 인터넷을 통해 구축된 데이터베이스를 쉽게 검색할 수 있는 프로그램을 개발하기 위 해 수행되었다. 가. 농업기계 정보 DB는 농업기계와 관련된 텍스트, 이미지, 수치자료들을 데이터베이스화한 것으로서 지원시책, 구입, 이용, 사후관리, 연구 및 교육, 시험평가, 통계, 기타 정보 등의 8개의 카테고리로 구성하였으며 원시자료가 텍스트, 이미지 자료인 경우는 Html로 자체 제작하거나 기존 사이트에 링크하고, 원시자료가 수치자료인 농업기계 사양 및 농업기계화 현황은 관계형 데이터베이스로 구축하였다. 나. 구축된 농업기계 정보 DB를 검색하기 위하여 검색프로그램을 개발하였다. Html로 제작된 DB는 메뉴식 검색방법 또는 검색어 검색방법으로 검색할 수 있으며 관계형 DB는 DBMS를 개발하여 검색이 가능하도록 하였다.

Accelerated Life Evaluation of Propeller Shaft for Forklift Truck (지게차용 추진축의 가속 수명 평가)

  • This paper proposes an approach for predicting the fatigue life of a propeller shaft of a forklift truck by an accelerated life test method. The accelerated life test method adopted in this study is the calibrated accelerated life test, which is highly effective in the prediction of the lifetime and enables significant reduction of the test time as well as a quantification of reliability in the case of small sample sizes. First, the fatigue test was performed under two high stress levels, and then, it was performed by setting low stress levels in consideration of the available test time and extrapolation. Major reliability parameters such as the lifetime, accelerated power index, and shape parameter were obtained experimentally, and the experimentally predicted lifetime of the propeller shaft was verified through comparison with results of an analysis of load spectrum data under actual operating conditions.

  • Instrumented indentation technique is a new way to evaluate nondestructive such mechanical properties as flow properties, residual stress and fracture toughness by analyzing indentation load-depth curves. This study evaluated quantitatively the flow properties of steels and residual stress of weldments. First, flow properties can be evaluated by defining a representative stress and strain from analysis of deformation behavior beneath the rigid spherical indenter and the parameters obtained from instrumented indentation tests. For estimating residual stress, the deviatoric-stress part of the residual stress affects the indentation load-depth curve, so that by analyzing the difference between the residual-stress-induced indentation curve and residual-stress-free curve, the quantitative residual stress of the target region can be evaluated. The algorithm for flow property evaluation was verified by comparison with uniaxial tensile test and the residual stress evaluation model was compared to mechanical cutting and ED-XRD results.

Study on Hydrogen Embrittlement for API 5L X65 Steel Using Small Punch Test II : Weld Metal (소형펀치 시험을 이용한 API 5L X65 강의 수소취화에 관한 연구 II : 용접부)

  • With weld metal of X65 steel, hydrogen was charged by electro-chemical method and mechanical behavior such as strength was measured by the small punch test. The weld metal was more sensitive to hydrogen charging than the case of base metal. The small punch (SP) strength was decreased as the hydrogen contents increased. Magnitude of strength decrease was dependent on current density, temperature, charging time. Current density and charging time have significant effect on the mechanical properties but temperature of electrolyte has limited effect. Fractured surfaces of the tested specimens were observed by SEM (scanning electron microscope). In the hydrogen charged specimens cleavage fracture were observed, which is consistent with the SP test results. Since the testing procedure for studying hydrogen embrittlement proposed in this study has shown good reproducibility of test results, the proposed method can be assumed to be a reliable test procedure. Using the electrochemical charging and the small punch test, the change of SP strength for X65 weld metal due to hydrogen embritlement could be evaluated sensitively.

Variation of Material Characteristics of a Hot-formed AZ31 Magnesium Alloy (마그네슘 합금 AZ31의 온간성형과 재료특성변화에 관한 연구)

  • Magnesium alloys are known to be hard-forming materials at room temperature owing to their material structure. This study analyzes the optimal temperature conditions of warm-forming and the forming process by using a high-pressure laminating test and FM analysis, respectively. The effect of temperature on the fatigue limit was examined from the collected specimens by analyzing the material properties after the fatigue test. The material formed at a temperature of $230^{\circ}C$ shows occasional defects, but the best forming quality was obtained at $270^{\circ}C$. The optimal temperature for the forming process was found to be $250^{\circ}C$ considering the material quality and thermal efficiency. The overall fatigue life of specimens decreases with an increase in the processing temperature. The fatigue limit of AZ31 formed at $250^{\circ}C$ was approximately 100 MPa after $10^6$ cycles.

  • The basic mechanical properties of helicopter rotor blade are important parameters for the analysis of helicopter performance. However, it is difficult to estimate these properties because the most of rotor blades consist of various materials such as composite materials and metals, etc. In this paper, the bending/torsional stiffness for composite rotor blade of unmanned helicopter were evaluated through experimental and analytical studies. In finite element analysis, the bending/torsional stiffness were evaluated through the relationship of load-displacement and element stiffness matrix. The evaluated stiffness from the measured strains and displacements in bending and torsional test agreed well with the derived results of FEA.

수증기 산화 및 수소침투가 질코늄 합금 튜브의 건전성에 미치는 영향 연구

  • 핵연료 피복관의 일차 결함을 통해서 유입되는 냉각수에 의한 피복관 내면의 산화와 이에 따른 수소침투가 핵연료 피복관의 기계적 건전성에 미치는 영향을 규명하기 위한 연구를 수행하였다. 시험 시편은 Westinghouse, NRG, Sandvik에서 제조되는 Zircaloy-4 tube와 Westinghouse사에 개발한 신 합금인 ZIRLO™를 동일한 조건에서 수증기 산화와 수소 주입 실험을 수행하여 제조회사별 성능 평가를 하였으며 기계적 건전성 저하의 평가 방법으로 튜브 파열 실험(tube burst test)을 상온에서 수행하였다. 그 결과는 수소 침투량에 따라 피복관의 기계적 건전성이 지수적으로 감소하는 경향을 보였으며 500ppm이상에서는 취성파괴현상을 보이며 심각한 연성저하를 나타냈다. 제조회 사별 성능 평가에서는 A사 제품이 내식성과 수소흠수특성에서 다른 B, C, D사 제품에 비해 떨어지는 것으로 나타났다.
